yeah that happened to me too and when i told them about it they said that the only number for 411 was 411. it was really weird.

I did not get these types of calls until i started to complete a survey to 'win' an ipad on facebook.  I had to agree to sign up for other 'deals' when I stopped but since then I've been getting these calls.  If you use this on FB I would suspect them.  When I called back I heard the word Wal-Mart.

And if you call back when they hang up, I'm about 105% positie they will tell you you've won something and then ask you to pay for the shipping.

I have gotten like 3 calls from this number. I live in Greenville, NC and its definitely a triangle area code (i.e. Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area). They keep telling me that I have won a $500 grocery shopping voucher but I've also been getting calls about that since 2 weeks ago, but from a 011 number. That was the whole number 011. Weeeeeeeird.

Who is that?  They've called me repeatedly.

Missed call from 919-555-1212 from North Carolina (NC). Called back and it said AT&T 411 services. My cell phone is with AT&T.

go to the DO NOT CALL  website, and file a complaint,  I did.

got call from 9195551212 on my cell phone, called back and was charged $1.99 .   I am on the do not call list.

The number keeps showing up on me phone several times a day.

they called, i answered, they hung up...

I get called ALL the time.  I just auto reject now.  I answered twice and it was silent anyway.

I received this call today, I was unable to answer the phone, the only thing was some mumbling and then they hung up.

I didn't pick up, as it said directory assist NC. Most likely bogus or a scam. Steer clear.

Just got a call from this  #   I think it has called before to offer an ADT system .Ask for home owner and then hung up when owner wasn't here .Seems like they just want your address and or money.

I picked up the phone and didn't say anything. It was an offer for $500 in free grocery gift cards one day, and then gift cards for something else the next (can't quite remember the second offer). They prompted me to press #1 WHICH I DID NOT. I definitely won't pick up now reading the rest of your messages.

They have called my phone 6 times in two days.  I called back and they hung up.  Then I am now getting calls that the name and phone number phone shows block caller.

this is pissing me off. i tried to call back on my other phone and it sais i went over my alloted minutes. this is a scam. do not answer.

I got this call on my cell ~ no message ~ called back and found out it was a directory assistance # which they usually charge for ~ the waved the charge and told me it was a scam and not to call or answer this # again.

So i called 411 info and they gave the "National Do Not Call Registry" number where you can register your phone to NEVER receive telemarketing calls it is a part of the government. The number is 1-888-382-1222. I hope this helps everyone out because i know im highly irritated with this stupid number calling me!! And i do not want other people as angry as i am

Same thing happens to me

This number SERIOUSLY calls me at least 4-5 times a day! I answer it and nobody says anything and then someone every once in a while will say hello and then hang up. I have tried to call it back and it goes to "AT&T 411 info, please say a city and state" and its really irritating me!!

As of 6/1/11, my mom has gotten 7 calls from (954)555-1212.  I called the # from work and "411 City and State Please" machine answered.  I got to speak to a Customer Service Rep and told her my mom kept getting calls from this # and her phone bill has been charged $12.35 cents for these calls?  I was pissed and she knew it... she gave me the # for AT&T... who then gave me the # for "Annoyance Call Bureau (800)769-4099" which is opened M-F from 6am to 5pm eastern time.  We've been at it w/ this since February... although ATT keeps waiving the $15 charges... it's starting to get to my last nerve... Better Busines Bureau and the Consumer Fraud Bureau are definetly getting letters and calls from me if this is not resolved...
