qq.com is a free web based email address. Anyone can get one, even someone in Nigeria. It's an advance fee scam. Scammers often use real news events to build their scam around. The Powerball winner is real, the email is not, you getting money won't happen, a scam. . . this is.

I got a message from this number that says.

"You are selected to receive a donation of $1.5M USD by Mackenzie the Powerball Winner. To begin claims,Send your full name to Email:glormckenzie@qq.com"

Did anyone get something similar?

This number called me to have me order the Mayweather a couple if weeks ago.  Saved me the $5 fee.

I got a call from a person that called me gramma and told me she had got in trouble with the law and needed $1800.00 for bond money to get out of jail  I didn't fall for it so she hung up I think this is illegal and should be reported but to who do I report it to ??

This call from N.C. doesn't give up. They call 3 times a day, every day.  It's starting to get me a little bit angry.

Exactly the same experience I had.  I find it odd CenturyLink says its not their number, but someone is high-pressuring you into buy Centurylink internet.

The caller is CenturyLink and they are in NC.   It is a sales call wanting you to buy their bundle package of phone and internet service.   I made the mistake of answering and the girl tried to high-pressure me into buying their internet service.  She also told me they both mail and call every month just after statements go out and I have found this to be true.   She was so rude and pushy that I almost cancelled my phone service with them.

Centurylink said it is NOT their number.

They put a block on it and said if any other calls I want blocked to dial *60 and enter the number.

Sure hope that works.

We have been getting as many as 5 calls per day from this number. Finally took a deep breath and answered. I politely, but forcefully requested my number removed from their call list. Very rude response that  they would just call back, and maybe I would be in a better mood. She did let it slip it was on behalf of Centurylink. I do have phone service with them; called the 800# for centurylink to report this. They are tagging my account as "no contact/marketing".... hope it works.

I called the number and it was CenturyLink.

They called while I was away and left a blank voicemail. I have CenturyLink too, but I notice that the 919-647-xxxx exchange belongs to BellSouth (now AT&T). I doubt that CenturyLink would be using AT&T service, and I find it odd that they would call me, a Prism TV customer with them, to advertise DirecTV.

Got a call from this number, and I too have Centurylink. But I doubt they're calling me about DirecTV; I have Prism TV, which is TV over the phone line. I know the internet abuse department is in North Carolina, and I have my uncle's computer hooked up to the internet, wonder if it's them calling about a virus issue?

Calls two or three times a week.  Just called again.  I didn't answer.

I DID accidentally answer it earlier this week though, no one there, 26 MINUTES LATER the phone rang with a "Florida call", it was a recorded message, something about "Are your tired of having your Assets Taxes Off".  Strange and "suggestive" in an "adult" type of way.  LOL  Then I received a flyer for the same company in the mail!!!

I think the North Carolina calls are trying to "learn" when you are home and then schedule solicitation phone calls.  So annoying!!

This number calls almost daily.  I never answer as I know no one in North Carolina.  It may be Centurylink calling through some call center to sell DirecTV service.  The way I look at it, if I want Satellite TV service from CenturyLink, I'll call THEM.  I will not respond to the telemarketing calls.

I AM SICK OF THIS CALLER.  EVERYTIME I ANSWER, THERE IS NO SOUND AND THEY REFUSE TO SPEAK..    Their calls won't stop!

Got another call from "N Carolina Caller." I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I hate cowardly telemarketers!

I left a post here on Feb 23rd - more of the same. I don't answer, they don't leave a message. Have a plate of Spam, anyone?

Have been getting 3-4 calls per day over the last few days. Caller never leaves a message. Tried calling the phone number back and it doesn't go through. Caller ID just shows "North Carolina Caller."

I receive repetitive calls.  No message is ever left for me.

I received the same phone calls 2 and 3 times a day.  8:30 in the morning and 9:00 in the evening.  I answered once and they claimed they were Centurylink and wanted to offer high speed internet to the existing residential phone package that I have a some price (don't remember).  I told them I was happy with my existing service and they continued to pressure a sale.  I hung up.  Since then they continue to call.  I called Centurylink to put a block on the number and for some reason my call block service would not block the number.  Centurylink couldn't explain, except they did verify the number was not Centurylink and recommended I call local law enforcement if they continue to be harassing.  I live in Missouri and filed a complaint with MO NO CALL LIST via MO Attorney General.  I will next file a complaint with the National NO Call List and finally will file a complaint with the FCC.  I recommend you all do the same.  Just google NO CALL list and you"ll find the "File Complaint" link and same with FCC Consumer Complaints.

Called 3 times in the last couple of days, never leaves a message and I hang up when I hear the delay of a phone solicitation.  Weasels!  Pretty sure its Centurylink's work.

Keep getting calls from this number in North Carolina. They call almost every day and don't leave a message. I use caller ID and only answer calls from people I know. It's getting very annoying. I'm on the no call list. I wish they would stop.

Just got a call myself.. Got the same hang up as soon as i realized someone WAS on the line.. But said nothing. If it is Century Link - SHAME on them. Now that I know they have these types of practices in business it only makes me avoid them completely in the future. You would think they would realize this. No wonder they are goin under.

I see it does no good to pay for an unlisted number.

I have tried everything telling them to STOP calling and so on.
These people tell me they represent some sort of organization needing donations. They didn't tell me they were a phone company. They are calling for the Fire Department and Policemens Family Fund. Something like that.  I notice they will call with the number that shows up and then if I hang up and hour later they call with a blocked number but we have a service member in the military in Afghanistan that calls and it wil sometimes say unknown so we don't refuse or let the phone ring for any calls. So we are stuck dealing with these idiots and they call at all hours, and early in the morning and afternoons too. Im a night shift person and sleep during the day and they call every single day
Calling my phone company in the morning. Tried to block the call but it won't let me.
