I've been out of town for a few days & had multiple messages on the answering machine when I returned. They all said "is Beth there?"  Naturally I googled the number that was on the caller ID & saw many instances of scam calls from the same number.

I have gotten 2 calls on my cell phone from this number. It is the same guy with the heavy Indian accent. I only
answered it because it was supposedly a number from my same area code. He has asked for my husband both times. The first time I told him he had the wrong number. Today I told him I had already told him he had the wrong number and to never call my cell phone again. I must have been very rude to him because when I hung up my son was laughing. I just hope being rude makes him stop calling. I do think he mentioned something about a warranty the first time he called...today I did not give him a chance to say much of anything.

This number calls 5 & 6 times a day. Never leaves a message.

Received a call from 919-701-3155, same company as the 919-701-3157 and asked for the wife by name. The wife got on the line and the guy went through his speel of providing extended coverage on a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer that was traded in in 2007 for a different car. He asked how many miles were on it and the wife told him over 200k. He said there were too many miles and that he is going to put down 199k and was going to pass this onto his supervisor. The wife told him that he shouldn't put that down because it's over 200k. He then abruptly hung up. We like playing around with these low life's  helping them maintain their jobs, good for the economy, yea right?

Have not been to Firestone but have been to Jiffy Lube.

Calls my phone every day.  Hear it say "connection" then some foreign voice comes on and says something about a warrnantee on my vehicle.  He knows what I drive.  I have told him to stop calling my number that I bought a warrantee when I bought my car.  But they called again today.

Called and asked for me.  I think.  They had a very thick accent.  I could hear lots of noise in background.  They butchered the name so bad, I wasn't sure.  I replied with "they are not here."  Caller said "thank you so much" and hung up.  

Usually I don't give out my cell number, so I don't get too many unwanted calls to it. I have visited a Sears auto repair/tire store recently though and gave them my cell number to call me when the car was ready.   We may be onto something here with our car repair services?

My vehicle has currently visited a Firestone location & a Hendrick Dealership recently. These call have started right after. The # states from Benson, NC and has tried me days straight. Very suspiscous timing and i agree w/ some earlier posts about this starting may be starting after visiting certain repair locations?

Got a call from this number today, and the caller ID said "Benson NC", which is actually not far from my house.  I don't normally answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, but was expecting a call from someone about my kitchen cabinets and thought it might be them.  He had a VERY heavy accent (maybe from India or Middle East, but not sure) and asked to speak to me.  He then said he was calling from the "Vehicle Service Center" about my 2009 Ford Escape.  Someone ran into me and totaled it a little over a year ago, and I don't have that vehicle anymore.  When I told him I didn't have it anymore, he asked me what vehicle did I have now and how many miles did I have on it?  I hung up on him at that point and then blocked the number.  If they call back they'll get a number disconnected message.

Call is a scam to sell bogus "extended car warentee". Heavy foreign accent.  Call appears to be from "Benson, NC" but is, in fact, from out of State. They asked for me by name, saying they were calling from "Vehicle Processing Center" about a make and vehicle year which we do not, nor never have owned. I have blocked this number and reported.

This number has called my cell phone a few times and I missed it. I answered it today and they hung up.....called back and although it was a 919 area code it said to call back during pacific hours.

I've received 3 alls from this number with no message left.  When I call back, I get the "we are closed" auto response.  Very Annoying!

No, I have never taken my car to firestone.  Just now starting getting these calls 3/20/2014.  I have been worried I was missing something important, but the fact that any time I call back it goes straight to a recording that says "We are sorry... our office is currently closed" tipped me off.  What is the name of said business?  And why are you so afraid to put that in part of your message?
I do really want to know how in the world they got my number.  The only I can think of was that a few months ago I had some calls from a woman who wanted to put me on a free cruise and tell all my friends how great it was.  Of course I knew it was too good to be true so I said no.  Then she became like a broken record.  Almost like a recording.  I asked to be taken off the calling list.  Then informed "No."  Every time I asked why she could not take me off, I was told, "No."  She never said anything else.  When I threatened to report her for it, she hung up.  Never herd from her again.

Anyhow, these are 2 other ways I thought that we all might be linked.
 I just purchased a new car from Ford.  Car insurance with Allstate.  Any matches???  At the 2013 NC State Fair I did a survey with Ford to try and win a Ford.  That is all I can think of.

This same number has been calling me everyday for about 10 days now.  I finally answered yesterday, and got the same false story as everyone else - the caller, with a thick foreign accent that is very difficult to understand (sounded Indian to me), asked how many miles were on my car.  I was immediately caught off guard with how he knew what car I drive when he didn't give a company name or business that he was calling for.  I told him "I don't understand what you are talking about. Who are you?" and he simply repeated the question.  I asked not to call me again and hung up, but they called again today.  I've requested the number be blocked from my phone.  Do not talk to this person - this is clearly a scam!!!

Called today and tried to sell me a car warranty. Person the other end of the call had a very heavy foreign accent and was barely understandable. Lots of background noise too. When I said I was not interested, the person at the other end of the call just kept asking the same question over and over again. Very annoying! Finally hung-up on him.

Same complaint as everybody else in this forum.  They won't stop calling.  Trying to sell me warranty on a car that I haven't owned for years.  SCAM

Do any of you folks take your car to Firestone for servicing? They are the only ones that know my name, cell phone number, and make model and year of my car.  

Got the same call from the indian guy. He kept saying chump eats turds, and told me the raleigh boyz is a hoax. Strange call indeed.

I received a call today concerning the expiration of the warranty associated with my suv. The caller spoke with a heavy accent that was difficult to understand. I hung up.  The caller ID on my I-phone indicated that the call was originating from Benson, NC.
I blocked the number to avoid future calls.

It's a scam for sure - just trying to get a little more inforamtion about you.  Don't give them anything. Always the same thing some attachment to a vehicle from the past.  Bottom line - they have some information on you. Something they shouldn't have to begin with.  All they need is a little more.  Don't give them anything.  

I always act interested....the tell them I'll be more than happy to comply. However, I need name, address, phone number, fax, company detials.  My lawyer will be in contact with all the required forms to officially request that infomation. That normally end it for good.

Same thing trying to sell me a phony warranty for my truck. When I asked him where he was calling from, he said Calif. But then when I asked why do you have a Benson, NC phone number he hung up.

They call repeatedly to try and sell me a phony warranty for my truck. Wanting us to give them money and offer a fake warranty.  I've told them many times to stop calling and they are relentless. Nothing I say or do to them is making them stop. When my husband answered the phone they asked to speak to him (not sure how they got his name) and he said "who is this" and the guy on the other end, with a very thick middle eastern accent, said back to him "Just put your dad on the phone you a**hole" My husband asks "did you just call me and a**hole?!" and the man said "yes,  because you are now put your dad on the phone" My husband then hung up. They call every day. When I answer they won't call again until the next day. If I don't answer they will call over and over all day long. They are harassing me and driving me crazy!

I started keeping a air horn by my phone and when they call and ask my name I let it rip....after a couple of times they stop calling...I guess they run out of ears...You can get the air horn at any party store or sport shop.

I answered the phone and a man with an extremely thick Indian accent asks me about my current Chevrolet Tahoe warranty.  I told him I wasn't interested and I proceeded to ask him the questions.  I asked - how did you get this number?  How did you get this number.  He said that he could transfer me to his supervisor and I could ask him any questions I may have.  I told him that asking where he got my number from doesn't warrant a transfer to a supervisor and I continued to question him as to where he got my number - he hung up.  I never did find out where he got my number from.  TOTALLY BOGUS!!!!!!  

Called And asked for me but I acted like it wasn't me. He was speaking slow in a deep accent. almost like voice changer. I'll report to police if he calls again. everybody else do the same

Called my cell phone (which is on the do not call list) twice this week so far.  Knew my name. Claimed to be from the "Vehicle Processing Center" regarding a car I haven't owned in 4 years.

Me:  Let me stop you right there.  I have not owned that car for at least 4 years, I am not interested, please take me of your list
HAV: I'm trying to tell you you can have your coverage restored...
Me: On a car I don't own?  Not interested, take me off your list.
HAV: but I am trying to tell you that it is not too late to...
Me: and I am telling you I don't own the car, I am not interested and to take me off your list!
HAV: You don't seem to understand...
Me: No, You don't seem to understand.  I am NOT INTERESTED!  TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST *click*

919-701-3157 Keeps calling my cell and leaves no message. Calls occur often and have been placed on ignore. Scam type telemarker.
