919-702-0271 called me about 20 minutes ago. It was a recording that made it sound like they wanted to reduce the rate on my credit card. They did not identify the card they were calling about. After pressing 9 to speak with a representative I asked which card they were calling about he said all major credit card companies. I asked what bank was my card issued by and he said they service over 900 banks. I told him to put me on their do not call list.
Scam for sure!
ColdRevenge 2011-06-06 21:07:19 Unknown
Yeah, right, lower credit card rate. When I told the guy he needed to quit harassing me, he got all "we're doing you a favor" so I told him i got abuddy about an hour away from him there in oxford NC who'd be happy to pound him into the ground for me. The guy hung up! A-hole.

I do not know anyone from this phone number
Annoyed 2011-06-06 21:07:19 Unknown
Called my cell phone. Make sure you file complaints to the "do not call registry". Even if your number is not listed, you can still file a complaint for a "recorded message".
The same credit card company called me. Press 8 to get off the list (but when you do it just hangs up so I'm not sure how effective it is.

Got a reminder that I missed a call from my cell phone number that I never give out. When I called the number back I got a message that the number was not "receiving messages at this time." I figured that it was another robo-call.

Credit Card Scam. You press 8 (to get them to stop calling you) and they keep calling you anyway.
So much for the idiots in congress 'yes you can spam/yes you can bug the sh*t out of people who own phones'

Received a call from 919-702-0271 today at 3:18 4/17/10. Ladies recorded voice saying "you should have already received something in the mail about your rate going up (no description as to what card it was, that was my first clue)" She then went on to say, "if you want to keep your current rate or lower your rate press 9 now to talk to a representative". SCAM!!!
Thanks AT&T for allowing me to go to my online account manager and manually block these SOB's.

Repeated calls.

Many calls from 919-702-0271 on our ans machine. Caught one live.. from "Card Services" according to the automated call (sounded like a young lady with a British accent). I pressed "9" to speak to a "human" and reached Chad. I asked for the name of the company and he confirmed "Card Services". I asked to be removed from their list and he hung up.

Received a call from this number - caller gave her name as Allison Clark - operator #TC22156. Call was also about reducing interest rates. She asked for my card number to find out what my balance was, but I gave her the balance since I had my most current statement. Phone disconnected during the conversation while she was questioning the limit on my card.

Just received a recorded message from "credit card services" - said no problem, but press 9 to lower interest rate.

Adam 2010-04-21 14:51:48 Unknown
Yeah, I got a call from this number. Didn't answer it and figured it was a telemarketer or a scam. Then I thought it could be my finance company and so I done a check in case I needed to call them back. Then I read all this stuff. lol
Sounded like it would be fun to call and mess with them, so, on the off chance someone would answer I did try and call. There is something very interesting that you may want to know. It IS a cell I believe and if you hit the * button it asks you to enter your password. If there are any good hackers out there, we all know vm passwords are only 4 digits. And it'll let you try like 7 different times. It'd be SO COOL to get in there and then change his password on him after changing the greeting. All kinds of fun someone might could have with this. HAHA!
Mandy 2010-04-21 03:36:35 Unknown
Called back after reading these posts and received a VM greeting. "This subscriber cannot receive messages at this time."
rick 2010-04-20 19:14:18 Unknown
maybe if we all just gave them our credit cards number, they would have lots of money and spend it on crack.then they would all die an agonizing death, and we wouldn't get anymore calls.
