From the President of the Raleigh Professional Fire Fighters Association (RPFFA):

Hello, I am glad to see so much chatter about the RPFFA?s fund raising efforts. Yes, we are selling tickets to a musical concert and a portion of our proceeds is used to help fund select charities that are near to the hearts of our members. So far the citizens of Raleigh and Wake County are responding with amazing support.

I need to clarify that the RPFFA is not and does not represent the Raleigh Fire Department. The RPFFA is a 501c5 non-profit professional association of career fire fighters who are employed by or retired from the City of Raleigh Fire Department. Our only connection to the department is by virtue of our employment. Your support of the RPFFA in no way affects the services provided to you by Raleigh Fire Department as a citizen of Raleigh or Wake County, nor does it affect the commitment of all Raleigh firefighters to the mission of the department.

Here is some general information about our calling procedures:
We are exempt from the National Do-Not-Call Registry.  We do not ask for ?donations?.  We sell concert tickets to family oriented musical concerts that we produce at the Dorton Arena.  We NEVER ask for or accept any payment over the phone.  We do not accept credit cards or cash.  We mail the concert tickets out with a thank you letter and return envelope and we ask for payment to be remitted by check.  We do not leave messages and all of our calls are recorded.  Due to anti-intimidation laws our callers are not firefighters.  Subsequently we are required to use a third party caller, but we are an active part of our concert business and ticket sales office.  Check us out on Facebook and Twitter.

saw the number on the caller-id and did not answer.

Rec'd a call today, they left no msg.  Have rec'd numerous calls, they never leave a msg.  Tried to call the number back and rang over 15 times with no answer.  I finally hung up.

Must be a call center. Lots of background noise. I said "hello", heard voices and then they hung up. SO annoying.

This number has called us numerous times... most of the time we don't answer. We do answer sometimes, and when we do, there is either a long pause and a hang-up, or just an automatic hang-up. Never heard a voice or anything in the background. Not sure that it's a telemarketer or I would think someone would be there on the other end..... Very confused as to who this is and why they keep calling and there's no one there and then they hang-up... kinda eery even. Reminds me of a phone call from a horror movie, and then the caller mysteriously appears behind them when they turn around. O___O Can someone please help me figure out who in the world this is???!!

Calls and does not stop.  Says he represents Raleigh Fire Dept, but won't take no for an answer.   Worth recording his actions.

Calls a lot in the evening.  Then, hangs up if you pick up.

Caller ID said Raleigh, NC.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Calls frequently.  Picked up today and said nothing then connected and a man say hello, mr. xxxx (my name).  Lots of noise in the background.  Clearly a call center with a cue to talk once line active.

This number has called several times but the caller does not speak.

Not to keen on this number. Has called me three times. And used my first and last name.

Called me tonight.  Would not respond when I said hello then hung up.

This number has called numerous times without leaving a message.

Called at 5:26 PM and hung up when I answered. Another weirdo.

Loud call center background noise, live person claimed "wrong number" when I answered.

They just called me... did not leave a message though
