This number called my work twice and hung up on answer both times. Called the number back and got Tiger Direct message to "hold for the next representative." Not! Only order from them at my work was over a year ago.

The person calling said she was someone named Grace from Tiger Direct. She has called me twice. The first time, she said that she needed to know whether the account that she said was opened by my husband, a business executive, and associated with my cell phone number, was a personal account or a business account. I told her that I thought it was a personal account, since my phone number would otherwise not have been given, but promised to check with him and get back to her. He told me that he had made a one-time discounted personal purchase with our card, without, as far as he knew, opening any new account, and had given my phone number as the contact number, and that his employer does have a business account, but that there is a dedicated sales rep for that who should have all of the necessary information, so I did not call Grace back. Well, she called me again, and I told her why I had not contacted her. She then asked for the name of the business, at which point I became suspicious, as that is probably needed for the use of the corporate card number. I reiterated that the corporate rep should have that info, and she asked me for that person's name, which I did not know and probably would not have disclosed, in any case.  At that point she thanked me and ended the call. I Googled Grace Tiger Direct LinkedIn, and the only Grace listed was a video producer in Miami who had previously worked in the accounts area there, and her apparent ethnicity did not match the Asian accent of the caller, so I would guess that the caller was not that person. The call may have been legit, but it seemed odd to me that she would not have tried to obtain the information from someone at her own company, except that that sort of access may also be controlled, and you can never be too cautious these days. The fact that a call can be identified as coming from a company is meaningless, as there are ways to trick caller ID. I worked at several financial companies, by the way, and access to customer data was restricted on a need-to-know basis for a reason. I sometimes refused what I considered excessive access, because I did not want to be a suspect in the event of a crime.

Tiger Direct - This company sells computer parts, subsystems and peripherals.

I didn't answer and they didn't leave a v/m.

Shows up as Tiger Direct also for me.  I blocked them after the first call but did check the logs and see they have called 4 or 5 times in a week.

I am going to contact this company which I have never ordered from and tell them to quit with the damn cold calls.  

I might have considered ordering something from them but will never now due to the cold calls.  Do companies not realize that while they may gain a sale once every hundred calls, they lose a potential customer on many of the calls?

I suspect they probably spam also.

I don't know who is this or what business they have with me...Very annoying

I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number, and they didn't leave a message.

I was given a heads-up that Tiger Direct would be calling me from 919 area code. I've been getting 3-4 calls a week since October 2007, I just pcik up and hang up, or push it right to voice mail and no one leaves a message. I guess they don't really want my business.
