Got a call from 919-913-1661.  I let the answering machine screen it; they didn't leave a message.

This could also be scammers bouncing off of satellites and manipulating the phone system trying to verify that this is a real number. Then they search for your number and can seek out info via online searches or hackers.  Got a call tonight, lifted the receiver just enough and disconnected them.  Unless you actually speak to someone at UNC, call the college yourself, and ask them if they have a fundraiser being held.  Most colleges wish to keep 100% of their fundraising monies with minimun expenses and usually have they students or alumni, who volunteer to do this for them. SO BEWARE!!!

Frankly I don't know anyone who goes there, so even if this is a real fundraiser they're out of luck!!

I live in Virginia only an hour's drive from Chapel Hill, NC but I have no connection at all with any of the schools in the North Carolina "single university system."  In spite of that, 919-913-1661 calls and asks for me by name.  To compound the confusion, these calls are to an unlisted number that belongs to a friend, not me.

Twice a day, I get a call from 919-913-1661. They hang up whether I answer or not.  Has anyone been able to get them to STOP CALLING?!

i get this like at least twice a day calling at all hours of the night. i live in lakeland fl, and that is a long way from NC.

My call was UNC Asheville updating their alumni records and asking for money...ugh...

they're calling once a day... I think it's UNC trying to update their listing... just ignoring it...
