I also received the same message about being arrested if I didn't pay. When I told them my payday loan people said he was a scam, he said he nolonger wanted to talk tio me and I would be arrested. Then he hung up on me.

Received a call on my cell phone two days in a row now.  They claim to be from Baker's Law firm.  Caller ID says the call is coming in from Wisconsin.  Lady had a very strong foreign accent.  She said that charges were being filed against me and she stated my last 4 of my SSN and a partial address for where I live.  She said to have my attorney of record call her and it they didn't then all they could do was wish me luck.  I have some payday loans out but they are current and up to date.  Nothing from Wisconsin thought.

Just got the same phone call with the same name of Andy Parker saying I would have legal documents sent to me tomorrow after he said the authorities would pick me up tomorrow am...

They have called me harrassed me told me i have a warrant for my arrest because they gave me a loan and i need to pay which ive never asked nor got a loan from them but im filing charges against them for pain and suffering plus harrassment and stress.

GOT A CALL AT WORK FROM ANDY PARKER . PRETENDING THAT I OWE A LOAN AND IF I DIDN'T PAY TODAY OF $150.00 THAT I WOULD GO TO JAIL FOR 30 DAYS AND LOSE MY JOB.

keep getting calls from the  out of USA based callers. will NOT give details- just threats of arrest, intimidation and CONSTANT calls . They don't even have my REAL name!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

I received a phone call from this number saying that I had a payday loan, and that they filed a lawsuit against me, and that I would be served papers on Tuesday. What they heck. I am so tired of these calls saying crap like this. I know enough that if I owed money and was going to be sued for it they wouldn't be calling me they would just have the papers sent. I don't know what you can do about this but I would like it to stop!

This caller said that the police was picking me up and taking me to jail. i have no clue what he is talking about he is wanting money and pretending to be a Law office who can not speak English well. He said his name is Andy Parker which is also false. he got a really cursing out and the phone hung up on him.

I received a  call yesterday on my cellphone and work number.  They claimed that I was having criminal charges brought against me due to not paying on a payday loan.  This guy also had a very thick foreign accent and claimed that his name is Jason Bean.  He tried telling me that unless I paid all the money that was owed right then, that he would have the LA investigation department waiting at my home or pick me up at work  to take me in for 7-8 days for investigation until I could be brought in front of a judge.  I got really scare and asked how do I handle this matter and he pointed to me Jennifer Smith she wants me to go to Walmart to get a green dot money pack for $965.00 to stop the investingation. I told her that I got scammed by green dot money pack before so I am not sure if they are real or another scammed, she said so you don't beleive me and I her I do but I need to talk to my Lawyer first before I give the me. then couple minutes later I also got a phone from (213)485-4302 this number supposely the number to LA investigation department saying that he will start the process to have me arrest it. I talked to my lawyer and he told me I need to report this to the FBI it is a scammed.

This is a scam, they just want your money. They are from Mayville Wisconsin, they use names like mark johnson,steve harris, richard harris and shawn white,pretty much what every name they can think of.  I'm currently investigating them, in so far they have a foreign heavy accent in use a Verizon cell phone, not a company phone, what they do is try to scare you to giving them money to access your bank account. So if they keep calling whatever you do, "DO NOT ANSWER" let your job know what's going on so they can be aware, you can also contact the  "FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION" 877-382-4357 report them, you can also contact your state attorney general. I called and whoever the guy was who answer the phone hung up on me after I told him this is not a law firm, I would like to know the law firm name which he did not give to me, so I did a little digging how they get people information. When people sign up for things online, so be very careful what you do online,just a little click can access who you are, so don't be scare they cannot do anything after they see that you're not buying it, they will leave you alone. And another thing you can do is "REGISTER" your number under the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL AT  'www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx they can' tdo  anything but talk over the phone to try and scare you just don't fall for it, tell people about this so they can be aware of this foolishness.

Ive tried to block  call,ive applied for,loan,but not $3k just $100,IVe emailed them do notneed loan  now,nut he wont stop calling,a  woman ivy and deep foregn accent  and dont catch his accent for his name.  H was threating me sayin good luck for what will happen to you next,sad hes rep  law firm and im in default.  ITs same voice ive heard for days and trying to scam money!

Sounds phony to me.

I receive these calls all the time at my place of employment. They are always calling for employees that work here with me. They also state that they are with Becker Law Firm (made the foreigner spell it). I am in the payroll dept so that is why I receive them. I act like I am taking the message and the only thing I am taking down is the number so I can google it and make complaints about them. SCAMMERS!!!! They claim that whomever they happen to be calling for owes money to them.

I have been receiving numerous phone calls from multiple numbers claiming that they can help with my 2 or more payday advance loans. I have no loans taken out from any person, company or financial institution at all. Now I am receiving calls stating that there is a criminal investigation against me. I was discharged from a bankruptcy & the calls started just days after it was finalized. I can hardly understand the caller & today I lost it. I don't know what country these people are from but I'm sure the "American" names that have been given are not their true names. I asked to speak with someone that spoke clear English in order to understand the nature of the call. Another broken English speaking man with an "American" name came on the line with an attitude like I had just interrupted his lunch break. Needless to say I threatened them back by saying that if I receive one more call from them I would be pursuing criminal charges. He got mad & hung up. What a surprise!

I received a similar call last night at my work.  They claimed that I was having criminal charges brought against me due to not paying on a payday loan.  I have one payday loan that I know I am current on because they automatically withdraw money from my account every 2 weeks!  I asked who was filing charges against me and this guy says that it is a blanket company called America Cash and that they cover many smaller companies.  This guy also had a very thick foreign accent and claimed that his name is Shawn White.  He tried telling me that unless I paid all the money that was owed right then, that he would have the California Sheriff's Department waiting at my job and home this morning waiting to take me in for 7-8 days for investigation until I could be brought in front of a judge.  First of all, I don't live in California!!!  The phone number that this guy called from is a cell phone through Verizon!  I told my co-worker about it and after he got home from work, he called me with his friend on speaker phone and confirmed it was a scam!  The same thing happened to his friend's girlfriend.  He knew ever detail about the call, right down to the caller's name, and I never told my co-worker that!  This guy has got to be stopped somehow!

I just got a call from this number he said that my husband needs to call him that it is an Emergence that he needs to call him back that his life depends on it I don't know what is going on....

I  just received a call from this number and they were claiming to be from a bakers law firm in WI. He has a thick foreign accent and claimed I had a payday loan. When I asked for what company as I knew I never got a loan he stated it was a large company and they had several small companies working for them. When I asked him to hold on while I googled the law firm he said they were on there way to arrest me!!!??? WTF I told him I received a call like this earlier in the week and have already notified the FBI,FTC and FCC...he hung up.  STUPID Foreigners always trying to scam somebody...
