Use a program on your cell called "Mr Number"  will help you block all unwanted calls and it is free

This number and variations of it keep calling and leaving no message and when I do answer its just dead air.........I have a solution to the unwanted numbers.  If you have Android phone you can download an app "Current Caller ID & Contacts" by  WhitePages company.  This app is free and it works very well.  It has a call block option that works great.  You can choose to have the blocked call forwarded to voice mail or my favorite "Pick up and hang up" option.   The caller ID function also works well, if its a listed number it will give name and city.  In my experience the numbers that come up with no name and no city are usually numbers I want to block anyway :)

On some reverse lookups they have that option. I know the one I do has it

got a call from this number. did not answer. I wish it was a call from Publisher Clearing House telling me I won $5000 a week for life. That would make my day. Instead, got nothing and sadden to see my paycheck reduced from 2013 new taxes. I felt government avoided fiscal cliff but pushed me into the cliff instead.

Yup, Leede research group. You can easily google the company name and get a contact number. Called and had it removed, with no BS.

Disgusting that we are like cattle being milked, and that "businesses" like LEEDE are actually considered a business. What purpose do they serve besides bugging people, so that we can be bombarded by more ads trying to milk money out of us. Yay America!!!!

Just playing devil's advocate, some people actually are exempt from the do not call list, particularly if they are performing academic research (which are often in the form of surveys)

Keeps calling for the owner and talks like she knows him, but won't leave message, or call back #.

This number is for Leede Research. They are a market research company and solicit people to partipate in telephone surveys. Research companies are NOT required to adhere to the National Do Not Call List whatsoever, nor are they *required* to maintain one internally, though most do as a courtesy. As far as cell phones, most market research comapnies call on lists of phone numbers provided by a client company for whom YOU provided a phone number (could be anyone from your doctor to your utility company). If YOU gave out your cell phone number to one of these comapnies, you will be called on your cell phone, and there is no law preventing that from happening. Market research is a legitimate field of business employed by almost every major industry type. The results of the study they ask you to particpate in are used for the sole purpose of improving the products and services you use every day. So there is really no need to get so upset by these types of calls. In many cases, they even offer YOU money to particpate.

There isn't a single buuton you can push, but its still very easy. Verizon, for example, has a page on their website where, after you log in, you just type in the phone number and it blocks them for 6 months. Usually, after 6 months not getting a connection, the people at the number stop trying to call. Or you can pay a little more per month, and the number is blocked until you decide to take it off the list.

I have got 2 calls from this number 920-482-1450 today on this morning and one tonight. I hope they stop calling.

That is not true. Unfortunately, the WI do not call list excludes non-profits.

just got a call it is HSBC trying to collect on a bill. The guy was a complete a***ole. When I asked him to send me proof of the bill he just told me that I already know of the bill. Kept telling me to man up and pay my bills. Then when I told him that I need an address so I can send it to my lawyer he ignored me and talked over me and then said "oh you have money to hire a lawyer but not pay your bills"? You need to "man up" and pay your bills. DO NOT ANSWER the guy is very unprofessional and rude!!!

No business is permitted to call cellphones.  The do not call list does not apply.

I got a call from this number, but I did not pick it up. Left no message. Checked it up on here and it is a BS number.

Got that call but when answering I think the call dropped.

The man has a middle eastern accent. Tells me that there are law suits in my name, that I have unpaid bills....I do not which makes me wonder if my identity has been stolen. Realizing that it is likely a scam I immediately ask him what he wants from me. He will not answer my questions, just keeps saying that i'm in big trouble.
I've had other calls in the past of this same nature, same accent, I let them go to voicemail and save the number in contacts for future reference. The other numbers are 215.758.0372 and 610.717.0267.
I wonder if they're somehow tampering with caller ID.
The callback number they give is 971.240.6454. I haven't called.

The 920 area code covers SE Wisconsin. It's a call you do not want to answer. Nobody is exempt from do not call lists. It's called BS.

I wish cell phones had a button you could push and it would automatically add the number to a database of blocked numbers at the cellular provider. So if they tried again, it would not go through.

This number called my cellphone. I called the number back and a recording said it was Lee Marketing and they do surveys. Also mentioned they are exempt from no call lists.

Got a call (on cell) from this number and didn't answer. Instead, I looked it up online. I wish I knew how to block numbers from calling, the way one blocks e-mail addresses from sending.

I received a call from 920-482-1450.  It's attached to Leede Research Group.  I called their office in Manitowoc, Wisconsin 920-683-5940 and asked them to remove me from their call list.  They were quite pleasant and said they would remove my number from their internal phone list.
