Hi. I work for this company. After reading your very meaningless posts i figuerd it was my duty to reply. I make $8/hr to call members of our community all day long. Some people happy to hear from me some not so much. My life has been threatened on several occasions. So i ask you, do i not deserve to be paid for my time? Now for the percentage, no we do not know the percentage here. Your pledge is mailed directly to the association. But i can tell you the ammount they get is more than they had before your help. You help more than you think you do when you donate to orginizations like ours. You actully help yourselfs in a way aswell. I am one less person standing in the long line of unemployed. I have money to support my family. So you are really helping the economy. I come to work everyday and listen to countless insults and complaints but i keep going at it because i BELIVE in these programs. Thank you and i hope this cleared things up for everyone.

Note that according to the BBB, these guys don't qualify for charity status.  Most of the dollars go to the call center making the calls and the people who run the association/scam.
Avoid these things like the plague.

Right on! How much does it cost to go into a school every once in a while and talk to kids about seat belts? These are the guys that endorsed Walker! Thanks a lot Wisconsin Troopers association! My donation could not have been better spent.

The Wisconsin Troopers Association is a complete scam. When I was called I was told the donation went to find missing children. The Troopers website doesn't say a thing about a Child Identification Program. When I received the paperwork the "Child identification program" turned out not be nothing more than a flimsy sheet of paper supposedly used to help law enforcement find your child.
After calling the 800 that was in the information packet, I was told that only 12% of the collected funds actually goes to the troopers. What are the troopers doing with the money? Not much, they are doing nothing but printing magazines and golfing. Granted, the troopers my run an essay contest or show up at a special olympics torch run every now and then but, how much does that cost?

This number has called me at least 6 times!!!!   They are never on the line when I answer and have stopped answering there calls. The just keep calling!!! STOP THEM!!!

This is a marketing scheme that poses for the police or the fire dept to raise money for them but only ten percent goes into to them and the rest of the money you donate goes to these weasels.

I keep receiving calls from this number, do not know who they are or what they are looking for. Never answer their calls and they do not leave a message. I am not familiary with a company name of SS LLC and do not wish to know what they are about. I am already on do not call lists so they can get in trouble for that.

I also have had this number today January 18th 2009 call me and I did pick it up. There was no one there... Guess what the most annoying thing is with these telemarketing people... when no one answers when you say hello!!! Yikes, I will also be calling that number to be removed. The no call list does not include non profit organizations or charities. But being on that list has certainly cut the phone calls we used to get by 90% at least!!! I have cable phone as well and just called it back that way and someone answered stating that this number must have wires crossed... so, hopefully I can get to the bottom of this!

this sounds like the same outfit that called me this morning (03-23-2010) with a plea for funds for child safety and abductions (!).  the caller ID shows unknown name, unknown number and their patter is smooth.

Be advised that these fundraising entities receive 80 to 90% of the donation and the Trooper/Police/PAL/Deputies, etc received 10 to 20%.

Approx 9:30 a.m. Sunday May 24th.
Caller said he was from Wisconsin State Troopers Association.
I asked to be taken off call list and was rudely told, "Thanks for NOTHING!"
He hung up.

Hey-  My phone is not free.  I have to pay every month for this service and when it rings it better be somebody that knows me and wants to talk to me- NOT SOMEBODY WASTING MY TIME!

It blows my mind that you get a few phone calls in a month and label it harrassment, negative people like you shouldnt even have phones, it's just another thing to b!tch about.

I wish you people would take time to get your facts straight.  I did, so at least I won't sound like an idiot posting this message to you.  The Wisc Troopers Assc runs programs throughout Wisconsin, these programs are not state funded and many of the programs are run by troopers on their own time.  SS LLC is a fundraising company who calls on behalf of the Troopers Assc.  yes SS LLC is paid for there efforts, but alone the assc.
could not possibly raise the funds on their own, I mean look how difficult it is just to have someone pick up their phone so they can at least here the facts versus heresay from an irate person who was upset that they received a phone call while Wheel of Fortune was on...

My wife is really po'd with these calls also as well as I am. Thanks to som e of these postings I got the number to call THEM! Its 920 496 7540. I called it three times in a row this morning @ 6:40 am and left three messages on their answering machine. I said my phone number only and told them to stop calling this number. Hopefully this will work!

I just started to get calls from this number. One on Monday and one on Sunday. I was not home at the time and they did not leave a message. Now I know not to answer them. It worries me that they are calling to see if anyone is home. We only have a cell phone and that is what they are calling on.

I have been receiving these calls as well.  As I did not recognize the number, I have let it go to machine - hang up w/no message.

Calls once or twice a day. Very Annoying.  I never have picked up.

I also received a call from SS LLC 920-496-7544.   Caller hung up after I answered.  Very annoying to be called on a Sunday morning.  We will be blocking this call.

Just like everyone else I received a couple of calls from this same number. The caller id say S S LLC. I'm just going to stop answering the phone if I don't recognize the number.

I've received these same calls. The (920) area code is a number of counties north of Milwaukee in Wisconsin. My area code is such since I live in Sheboygan county. I wish they would stop calling. Maybe one day they will.

Also been getting this call, will not leave a message, IDs as S S LLC.  Maybe I will answer, get to the root of this.

Received same call for 3rd time. Also told them I am on NO CALL list and remove my number.  A similar company operated in Oshkosh on Sawyer St.  They used to hire Huber work release people and the calls also were scams for several charities which probably received very little of the money sent in by people.  The money went to line the pocket of the employer and pay criminals to hold a phoney (no pun intended) job to get out of jail for 8 hours a day.  In essence people were paying lawbreakers to make phone calls extracting money from innocent citizens.  Funny huh.  I used to work for the phone company fraud unit and I can't believe that these fake charity scam businesses are allowed to get away with this.  I will try the FCC if I get another call.  Thanks all who posted information on them.

They are a professional fundraiser, Safety Dervices LLC. They are in Green Bay, WI. I called their incoming line 920-496-7540 and told them I will place a autodialer to call their number in order to annoy them as much as they do me. They said they will remove me from list. We will see
