Text message said hey (with my name)....when I asked who it was they never responded. But it was this number. Bored people with nothing better to do!

same: "Hi <my first name>..
me: "who is this?"
reply: "lol if you wanna know who this is u got to add me on Yahoo messenger, my name is txtflirty37"
This number is a land line in Wisconsin

It came 1 hour after another one from an e-cigarette spammer in Florida that also used my name.  That too was a land line.

the answer to my question was:

ha ha if u wanna know who this is you go to addd me on yahoo msger, my name is textchick631

i just got the same message who is this person and how are they getting numbers and names

Just got a text that said: hello Karen!    I was suspicious, so I came here.  Glad I did.

'Hi (inserted my name)' ... I said I got a new phone number and who was texting.  Then the reply was about some yahoo user name to text with on yahoo messenger.  Really Random.

Got the same messages. I received one earlier this month asking if I wanted to buy ciggs from an online store. WEIRD.

didn't respond after googling and finding this... scam.

Just got a text from this number also, and it used my name in the text:  

"hey <my name> u there?  Haven't heard from u in a while."

I responded with, "Hey, who is this?"

"lol if u wanna know who this is u got to add me on Y! msnger. my id is txtgirly996."

I got an unwanted text from this number pretending that it was someone who hadn't heard from me in a while. The number is not in my outlook and I googled it to learn that it was someone using a Wisconsin number and per the other messages reporting it, must be some kind of scam.

just got a text from this number....saying if you want to know who this is you gotta add me on Y messenger etc....
