I got the same thing on 2/4! Very strange. However, I did not try to get a hold of anyone until today and the number said it was not a working number. So they are for sure scamming people and flipping the number when they are found out.

This is definitely a scam very likely to extract credit card info. It concerns me they somehow got my number.

I got a txt message from 1 (920) 540-9706 saying as followed:
"FINANCIAL BENEFITS C.U. NOTICE: Your CARD has been DEACTlVATED. Please contact us at 510-214-7954."
I haven't lived in the state of WI in over a yea. I change my phone number after I moved back to CA, it's freaking me out that they got my number and on top are re-directing me to call a local number here in CA.
According to the research I did they are trying to collect credit card number. So don't enter one if you call. I'm just worried they have opened an account with my information. I hope not!!

I got one last night! the text was from the number (903) 540-9706.

Kinda freaked me out so I looked up the number. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I received the same text on Feb 4, 2012. The text was sent from 970-371-0265 and I was not able to locate any information about this number either.

Same thing - received a text message on my work phone from 9205409706 saying "WELD SCHOOLS C.U. NOTICE: Your CARD begining with 4516 has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 970-301-6918." Don't know for certain but it sounds like a phishing attempt. Looked up 970-301-6918 and got no viable business hits.

Received a text message about 30 minutes ago from 920-540-9706 saying "Weld Schools CU"
Your card has been deactivated. Call 9702-301-6918 for information. Sounds like a scam to me.
WSCU would not have the cell phone number that they called. Must be just randomly calling numbers. DO NOT RESPOND.

i got the exact same message 25 mins ago... i had no idea what it was talkin about.. my kids dont even go to a weld county school.... it was from 970-301-6918... it read "WELD SCHOOLS C.U. NOTICE: your CARD begining with 4516 has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 970-301-6918".... second thing i noticed after i got the message was BEGINING is spelled wrong... its beginning...

May be a scam. Looked up Unison Credit Union on the internet, none of the phone numbers listed in the contact information page match up with the number that texted me.
