This call came in as an automated call informing me that my vehicle manufacturers warranty was set to expire and that if I wanted to extend it press 1 now. It connected me to a live operator. When I asked him which of my vehicles had  its warranty expiring he said they represented many manufactures. I was asked the year and make of one of my vehicles and was told that I probably would qualify for an extension until the line went dead as I told him how old my other vehicle was.

I phoned back the number on call display and was greeted automatically, asking if I wanted to be removed from the contact list and then the line goes dead.

Area code is 920- in the State of Wisconsin,USA. I don't see how these funny people would bother calling Vancouver, BC Canada. I guess with the do not call laws, now these guys are calling Canada. We all know here in Canada, being on a no call list, is never enforced.

They left no messages at 9.20am today. But who cares, was not at home and I never pick up calls I do not know.

What a waste of their time!!!

Called my cell phone again today.  My cell phone is on the do not call registry.  I answered.  A recording started up.

"Hi this is John from the loan modification department.  We recently sent you a mailer saying you were preapproved for a loan modification.  If you are not interested in a loan modification hit 2, otherwise stay on ..."

I hit 2.

We'll see if I don't get called anymore.

Looks like a new listing here so probably still on autodialer seeing if a live person answers, some new number that some collector has moved to, or new scam artist.

This one offered to extend the warranty on my car -- a warranty which hasn't expired.  It threatened that this was MY LAST CHANCE BEFORE WE CLOSE THE FILE.  What a load.
