caller ID shows #, no message left; we're on the "NO CALL" list!  I'm thinking sometimes that list does more harm than good - how do they get the #?

It's fortunate that your mother wasn't there to take the call because the disgusting medic alert for seniors scammers would have tried their hardest to steal as much as they could from her! The medic alert for seniors scammers are nothing but a vile group of thieves. Hopefully as this group of crooks approaches old age a new group of scammers takes advantage of them also, to the extent they must live on the street or in the woods in a state of complete destitution!

The medic alert for seniors calls exude of the scamming criminality.

There are a few variations. Most people receive a call from "John", who is no more than a recorded message. After pressing a number to accept delivery that person will be connected to a "live" scammer. The "live" scammer will ask for a credit card number or bank account number to cover the "small" monthly monitoring fee. At this point, once the scammers have a credit card number or bank information many things can happen--HUGE monitoring fees--no delivery of any product --identity theft, involving the credit card or bank account information or other events a person would prefer not happen to them! Received a call from this number Saturday 08/17.  Did not pick up.  Male caller left message saying he was calling to set up appointment for delivery of a medic alert system.  Does anyone have info on how the scam works?  I am just curious.

We have received 2 calls from this number in the past few days (8/12 and 8/17). We can't tell if it's a person talking or a robocall. A man says, "I'm calling about delivery of your medical alert system." The first time we said, "We don't want to talk to you" and hung up. The second time we said, "We did NOT order this item. Please go away." and the man kept talking even when my husband kept saying we didn't order it. So my husband finally hung up. I found this website by Googling the phone number. I'm glad to hear it's just from a telemarketer, because someone has been harassing our teenage son and we were afraid this call was from the harasser.

Yes, same thing. Sounds like just a normal guy talking to you, so I kept asking him why on earth would I need this. Also to find out when he would ask for my money. I didn't get to press #1, He hung up.
Very bad impression of a spam

Just received a call from this number on my cellphone.  I know exactly where I have given that number as I still use my landline for most things.  A woman's voice first said "Senior Citizen". I have quite a few years yet before I qualify for that title.  

This has got to STOP!

Just received a call from this number saying I was eligible for $3,000 worth of certificates for groceries and a medic alert button.  Asked me to press #1 to get the details.  This was a female voice.  The caller ID said Green Bay, WI.

We keep receiving calls from 920-593-9157 saying they want to make arrangements for delivery of our "medical equipment."  It is a recorded message that sounds like there is a "real" person on the end of the line.  I keep hanging up and wish the calls would STOP!!

Called my mobile number and said he was from the shipping department calling to schedule my delivery of emergency medical supplies.  Started a sales pitch ...

Same call from Medic Alert, but I do not believe mine was recorded because when I told him I was not interested and take me off their list, he then asked if I had any relatives or friends that I could send it to. The number came up Unknown on caller id

Same as all the other calls. Used the option #5 to be removed from calling list. Hopefully it works....Just came up as Green  Bay Wis.

How they "got by" with what? The do not call list cannot stop anyone from calling--especially criminals such as the medic alert for seniors scammers, who try to rip off the elderly!

I just received the same recorded call. I hung up, and then called back, which I frequently do and then request to be taken off their call list. If it's legitimate, someone answers, and they remove my number. This number, however, gives a recorded message saying the number is no longer valid. I have a phone that has a call block feature, so I added it to my blocked call list.

I received a call from 1-920-593-9157 setting up delivery for medical equipment.  The equipment has been paid for.  I did not order this material and could not talk with the man.  We are on the "do not call list" so I'm not sure how they get by with this.

The way I read the message was that you were Bell Ambulance reporting the Medical Alert calls. Just wanted to let you know that we are also out here.

We are having the same problem here at Milwaukee County EMS Communications. Repeatedly have asked them to take us off their call list but continue to get calls.

Calls leaves no message

I am so sick of this call - I get it several times a day - I don't believe it's a recording, it sounds to me like a man trying to make it sound like a recording.  I started interrupting the caller's message, by saying not to call this number any more, take me off their list, or I will report it - the message quits then, and they hang up, which is why I don't believe it's recorded.  The last few calls, there is no one there, and no message, when I pick it up.   Who can a person report it to, being I AM on the state and national do not call list?!? And yes, it is about a medical alert system that is paid for...HELP!!

Two of us at my law firm received the same message today regarding the medic alert that was paid for.   Very annoying!
