Guy, please take your computer to a reputable repair shop.
If you can not afford to do so, please Google "Malware Bytes" . It is a free program that will remove most malware from your computer. Also, please Google "TrendMicro Housecall" and run their free online virus scan. Please also check to make sure that your antivirus and firewall are turned on.

Your situation is worse than X says. You have given the scammers unlimited access to your computer. They have installed spyware. They now know everything you have stored on your computer. If you do on-line banking they have your access codes. They can use your computer to send spam and malware to other computers.
Take your computer to a local computer repair place and have them undo the damage. Contact your bank and get new account numbers. Have them reject all charges from star pc repair.

WELCOME TO THE REAL INTERNET. Yes, it's a scam soory for your loss. You will only hear from them again if you cancel. Even if you do get a virus on your computer it will only send a message to microsoft and/or your virus protection program (Norton or MacAfee etc) and only if you OK the transmission

I also received a phone call saying : "My name is John Morrisson and I work for Star PC Repair. Our server received a message saying that your computer is infected by something more potent than anything your antivirus can fix."
He also had a huge Indian accent. He asked me to go in the event viewer of my computer to check his allegations (Windows key + R). When he asked me to take over my computer though, I refused and now I know I was right because I found this web site and because the number he gave me to check his identity does not work : 647.288.3898. By the time he gave me the phone number, he also seemed very nervous.
Anyway, hope others will be helped by this.

Believed to be a scam company I also searched in google for these type calls and they are listed as scam calls and frauds. every body should be very alert not to answer any calls from these companies or numbers.
