Can't get any more nebulous then that..... Labor unions have well know names and affiliations.  
This has scam written all over it.  Although no angle understood to it.  Give them FAKE or false information if they ask.  

Likely some form of Phishing scam.

I received an email from don foti offering me a position for his company "American income life". It must be a scam!

Same.  Got a call from someone saying they'd found my resume on Monster.  Asked me to come in on 11/8/13 for an interview to their office on Stevens Creek.  Number they gave was 408-209-2865.  Skeptical.  Gonna skip it.

Today is 11/5/13 and I receive a call from a woman at (408) 209-2865 asking me to interview for a job at: americanincomelife-jatoft-foti.com  - as a benefits administrator for a union?  What is this? sounds shady to me.  They say they are located in San Jose off of Steven Creek near the mall?

Received call from Mariso about a position person to explain benefits to union workers.  She said the name will not be on our door since we share it with others.  She spelled the name of the organization as:
Jatost Soti. Location 4071 Port Chicago Hwy.

So glad that I found this, got two interviews asked on the same day, because they called me first and asked me to be there at 10:30am, so I changed the interview time with my other job offer. Thanks for this scam job, I could have gone to my potencial job interview at 10 tomorrow. Now I don't want to do anything with this business and hopefully my other job can let me come in early.

I got a call from this number when I bought a shed from Lowe's Hardware.  They are the Installed Sales line/company, which is not employed by Lowe's, but works to install various kits you might buy from them.

Thank you for all the blogs. I am not working presently. Just looking. They claimed that they got my resume from monster. I am an offshore worker, oil and scientific research work. I pilot ROVs and manned subs. I was confused about the call, thought that it was something to do with my industry. Tried to get clarification. Then some how whilst trying to get directions the blogs came up. Thank you.

Hmm, I just received a call from the 408-490-1398 number.  Got the same soup warmed over to the effect of what farmerinthedell said.  Nina Serhan was her name.  Since I'm local, and intended to run a few errands that way anyway, I'm gonna go to the interview.  However, it is kind of strange to be meeting with a company that's in the same parking lot as EastBay Works, the local job placement office in the Concord CA area.  Another strange thing, is the fact I have to hit "reply" to read the email she sent me, but it reads out fine on my phone.

None the less, I'm gonna give it a shot with very low expectations.  I'll report my findings here, since there is a solid review of negative going for this company.

I also received a phone call from this company.  They said they had seen my resume on Monster.  They said they paid 45,000 - 55,000 per year depending on my interview.  The position was full-time w/benefits. This is supposedly a position for helping union employees complete paperwork.   Because I was in a hurry and had an appointment I went and set up an interview, and they gave me directions.  I asked them for the name on the door because I couldn't understand them when they first called.  She said the name was not on the door.  (Not a good sign).  I decided to do a check on both phone numbers (800-927-7099 - the one they gave me and 925-826-0350 - on caller I.D).  So glad I did.   Definately not going to go to the interview, and I'm not even going to bother calling them.  I hope they waste their time, like they were going to waste mine.

I got the same call today, asking to set up an interview because the "hiring manager saw my resume" online.  It is to enroll union workers with benefits before they run out of time. I am supposed to contact Nina at 800-927-7099, and the address of the interview is 4071 Port Chicago Highway Ste 200 in Concord.

If this requires licensing, I am not qualified and don't want to waste my time. Nor do I want to work on straight commission; I need an actual job with a non-contingent salary.

By the way, the person setting up the interview called from a landline in San Jose whose mailbox is full and no one answers return calls to that phone.

Got a call yesterday for interview today! Didn't give company name just the location. They said the position was for a union repre. (something to that effect), I asked did I need to know anything about union ? was told that I would be trained. Nina called an gave me 800-927-7099 ext 137 with the Port Chicago address. It sounded so fimilar. I have interviewed with them before.  You need to get your liscences,and some other training that is about 600.00 or more now. And you deed that before you start working the job. I felt  like some where in the confersation they should ask if you are licenced? I think the thing that caught my attention this time was they didn mention the Company name. Prior it was want of the land marks given to help you locat the offce. By stating you will see the company name on the board down stairs and on the door you enter in the office.

Sounds away from a town .....I don't want a commision job and now all comments on this say its a Insurance Co...How do these people get away with this?

Got a call from this number and did not answer. It was from a Jofoti-Foti. From other posts people have said that it is from American Income. I remember going to one of their group interviews a couple of years ago and left soon after when we were told we had to pay over 600 dollars to get a license to sign union members up for supplemental insurance. If I'm unemployed there is no way I'm going to shell out a whole EDD check to some company so THEY can put me to work.

I'm working now so they can certainly stop calling me. They must be really desperate to be fishing around using old resumes.

These people won't give up like ZOMBIES they keep coming thinking you will break down. I feel like they are stalking me HELP.

Received a call at 4:37pm Friday 03/23/2012 from Jeanette from the Doreen Ryan Foti agency.  Call came in from 925-566-5765, and her call back is 925-826-0317.  She said Monster had alerted her of my resume, and she'd like to set up an interview.  I probably won't be calling back, doesn't sound like it's a solid job for me.

I recieved a phone call from them today and now that I've looked up the number and seen all of this I am NOT going to that interview tomorrow. I also realized that I've had 2 other interviews for the same person but for 2 different jobs. One was for Direct TV and the other was for a CSR position. This time its a union service rep position. When I asked the girl about the position she said that she had no idea all she knew was that it was a union service rep position. Should have known right then and there that I was not going to want this job.

I just got called for an interview with TMK saying they saw my resume posted on monster.com.  I asked about the job and was told that the position is "working closely with Union Benefits."  Sounds ok.  I asked for a job description and Daniel Hill was unable to provide one for me and I started to think is this for real?  After doing a little research I learned that, this is some kind of scam.

Someone named Daniel left a voicemail on my phone saying he saw my resume on Monster.com and is going to set up an interview soon. Totally hard to believe as I had never spoken to him before.
I'm not calling back after reading all these posts.

This number called. I was in the other room. Since I didn't recognize it, I looked it up here. Thanks everyone for you input. If I get another call from them, I will use my standard phone answer, for this type of caller. In a deafeningly loud voice, I scream at them "F*** You! F*** You! F*** You!" They usually hang up after the first one, they all hang up by the 3rd one, and I have never gotten a return call.If there is anyone in the room with me, I tell them how rude these people were, for hanging up on me.

So no base salary? It's all comission based?  That's the impression I got.  Well there you go, I'm going.  Who cares, I might find a job
