Number shows up as "California" No one says anything when they call. Heard background noise for a second (people talking/laughing) then they hung up

We also live in Arkansas and get several calls a week. They do not leave a VM.. I've called back and it just gives a fast busy signal.. Let them call me again.. They'd wish they hadn't!

caller id said the call is from California. my husband answered last night and nothing and when i called back it says your call is very important to us then 8 mins of waiting with music till they cut the call off.....

I just got this call, and I too am in AR.

In Arkansas, same story. 9-7-12, 7:25 pm. Earlier, at 6:56 p.m., another California area-code call (909-259-5687) did the same thing, rang, but said nothing to the message machine. I have a brand new number because my old number rang nearly every day just ONCE from an anonymous number. But this NEW number rings continually, always from a different number. I block each one, but it makes no difference, every stupid call is from a different number. Tonight was my first time for getting 2 in a day,one right after the other, with my new number. There needs to be a phone that restricts cals to only the people you want to hear from, no strangers, like Hotmail. You KNOW we could have that.

I got a call from that number this morning but I was on the phone. Itried to call that number but all I got, was can't be completed as dialed  I am also in Arkansas.

I called this number back, and it's for ADP home security systems. I have recently posted my number on the DNC list for Missouri, but it does not take effect until July 1st.  It seems to simply be a sales call.....

Keep getting phone calls from this number. When you answer no one is on the line. When you call it back, you get music playing and then it hangs up. I have no clue who it is or why the number keeps calling.

the # is not assigned to anyone is what MCI says but call MCI at 1-800-436-4444 and tell them what's going on because it is under investigation....

They must like AR because I get the call to and I'm from AR, they leave no VM, nothing?

I have gotten several calls from this number in the last 2 weeks as well.  I am in Arkansas and also do not know anyone from the area.  A voicemail is never left.

Keep getting this call the caller id is Saying from Walnut Creek, Ca.
