My husband and I attended a home improvement show about 4 years ago and entered a 'giveaway'. All these people give away is your phone number. We receive constant calls from these people trying to sell us shower remodels, windows, etc. I have asked them repeatedly to take my number off of their list but we continue to get calls.

Four calls last week on my cell phone. No answer, no msg. In the past, this number was used by a 'give-away' number collector operating at the gates of the Alameda county Fair, so I beleive it is still the same outfit.

Same. Time share/travel agency phone spam. Sigh.

This is some sort of travel agency that my husband and I had most regrettably given our telephone number to over 3 years ago at a local gardening event. I've told them many, many times that we are not interested and to take our names off of their list. Yet, they call us every single day. Hoping to get a new telephone number soon.

Daily and very annoying. anyone know how to make it stop? i NEVER answer.

I started getting calls from these idiots after doing a survey at the San Mateo County Fair last August. They call 3-4 times a day for about 4 months. I finally called them and left a very unpleasant message in January and the calls stopped. Today, they started up again. Time for me to call these idiots again and give them a piece of my mind. The company is Pulaski Tickets in Walnut Creek. They run an aggressive timeshare pyramid scheme.

call three times a day does not leave message?

they tried to sell things, but they keep hanging up on me. I request them to take my # off from their calling list, and the guy hanged me up. don't know why. my phone is already in the DO NOT CALL list....still getting this kind of calls. sucks!

I've been getting these calls everyday, I've been ignoring them for the most part. I decided to answer it today and had asked to be removed from their list, but they hung up. I tried calling back only to get to their voice-mail. The VM says something like "you've received a call from us from a drawing YOU participated in." They emphasized the "you" to justify that they're in-the-clear for calling. How nice of them. For the record, one of my colleagues used my number for the street-fair win-a-vacation giveaways. How nice of them. Now I can't get my number removed.

I stumbled on this thread for the same reason as all of you, but I think I know how they are getting our numbers! How many of you attended an event where there were computer monitors at the front gate where you 'registered' to enter a contest to win a car? I know I did that at the Orchid Expo at Fort Mason in SF almost 2 years ago, and ever since I've been getting these calls. I saw the kiosks at the Cow Palace at the Dickens Fair last December, and folks were standing in line to enter all their information. I know that Orchid Expo is where they got my number because I deliberately put down incorrect information about a spouse name so I could trace if they sold my number. For a while they would call and tell me that I had won a trip, and all I had to do to redeem it is to attend their sales presentation... lalala. The caller ID said Snap Marketing.
Every time they call I think of this you tube and it gives me the giggles. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Yhn2NyK34Q]. Unfortunately I can't think fast enough to pull it off as naturally as he did. What I do to create their own special hell for the day is to very seriously and earnestly ask the person to repeat their name, then say "Would you spell that please?" and then ask the name of the company, and "Would you spell that please?" And so on, and on, and on, address, trip locations, trip dates, hotel names, address of sales presentation, day of the week, etc. If you are creative, you can keep them on the phone for 15 minutes or more and with any luck they will have a migraine when you're done with them. Just keep making them repeat themselves and spelling everything out. I had them spelling out MY ADDRESS! You may not be able to get them to stop calling, but you certainly can make them suffer for having called!
Now in February of 2011 it seems there is a new campaign of calling every single day. The few times I've picked up there was no response, no voice, no nothing. They leave no voice message. I actually think that these are retribution calls for failing to take the earlier calls.

They are spam / marketers. Don't waste your time answering the phone or trying to talk to them. I reported them to the FCC. I am on the "do not call" list. They are breaking the law.
You can file one too. It's easy:
