Keep getting called by this number???

WamuCanHelp.com is a Official Wamu Bank Website. I called the Bank and they confermed it.     It is Not A Scam Website...     With that said, I too was getting the calls. After 5 calls and 45 minutes and 3 managers and 2 call center operators. I put a end to the Calling.

Call 1-800-280-9441 Then Keep Pressing * Until it starts to Ring. Tell the operator you don't own a Wamu Card and you want your Number Removed from the automated Caller. Give them the Number too be Removed. That's It.

wamucanhelp.com is an actual wamu website (you can and should call the number on the back of your card to verify this- and make sure you type it in correctly), though it is certainly a scam. I tried three times to make payments through the site. Each time, they gave me some lame reason why it didn't work but they NEVER notified me that the payment did not go through. I had to call to see why it wasn't billed to my bank account all three times. First, they claimed I typed in my bank account number wrong, then they said that my account was blocked because it was the wrong number- but how would they know my correct bank account number, if I gave them the wrong one? Eventually, I had to pay via the phone, which costs $9 compared to the advertised "free" wamucanhelp service.

Are you guys serious? You signed up with wamucanhelp? That is a SCAM! They aren't even AFFILIATED with WAMU! Wamu doesn't run that site. I asked myself! First of all, I get an email from "wamu" stating that I have some issues with a certain acctount # (which I don't even have that account #). They also referred to me as my MARRIED name when my WAMU account is under my MAIDEN name. It's a scam to get your SS# and ACCOUNT # for fraud. Plain and simple. I recommend those that signed up with wamucanhelp, cancel their cards.. Change their numbers and put a fraud alert on their accounts. NOW.

Call from some person from India or the Phillippines.  Oddly enough, all the Indian callers have American names that they use, they do not understand anything you try to tell them, and they want you to pay more than you actually have to pay.  They call sometimes 10 times a day, seven days a week.  The phone number on the caller ID says California, Texas, or some other place I can't even think of now but never heard of.  It says to stay on the line (while they connect to another country).....and we have WHAT for unemployment now in the US?  Go figure, let's outsource to these idiots.  I refuse to answer the phone OR speak with them.

I just pulled up wamucanhelp and it does allow you to make a payment but I didn't because I talked to a guy at IC systems (they're the collection agency that call constantly)and he told me if I couldn't make the $300 ? to not pay anything because it wouldn't even cover the late charge - so I didn't pay anything

The wamucanhelp.com is printed on my PayPal Washington Mutual monthly bill, so I think it's legit - I'm going to try it and see what happensTT

You can go to wamucanhelp.com to resolve this.  I believe it is collection calls from them/their partner.  I had my account set up on auto-pay, but it got cancelled so I got behind, hence my daily annoyances from this number.  Even on Sundays!

Just received another call with Pleasanton, CA ID.  Number is set up to block *69, but I dialed and heard the Washington Mutual Credit Card Services recording.  Why would a corporation this size would hang up when I asked who was calling (again and again -calling and asking)?  Sounds scary to me.

Keep getting calls on my work cell phone. From 14 Jan 08 to 16 Jan 08, I have received 10 calls.

I don't trust that this number is Washington Mutual at all.  If you call the number back, you get a recording asking for your credit card number.  If you just stay on the line and attempt to get a hold of a real person - the call gets disconnected (they hang up).  The whole thing is fishy - half of the time when this number harasses my cell phone, there is no recording at all - just silence.  I wouldn't trust the website given out above either - do not give out your credit card or social security information over the phone or on the web.

Calls all hours nobody ever answers..have a newborn it's really starting to make me mad.

Icontinue to get calls from this number and nothing happens when I don't answer.  They never leave a message.  Anyone have any idea what they're up to?

I answered and it was a female "kelly" from washington mutual.  Area code 925 is from Pleasanton, CA.

Calls me and when I answered, I get put on hold to wait for them to come online.  I do not think so!

Same thing happened to me today as the two previous posts.

Grrr....same thing!  Stop calling me 925-738-0328.  They called three times today alone!

This is one of more then a dozen numbers from the same area code and prefix that calls my cell phone, leaving no message on voice mail or not speaking when I answer. Even though I said hello 3-4 times.
