I put my number in for a job search site called Wullo. That's where they got it. I've gotten 4 calls in the past 2 hours. Education telemarketers. I just picked up and told them to stop calling.

Wow. Balls. It's a commission job. I'll would call the BBB, but don't know exactly WHO the telemarketing company is. Don't want to get kicked off the employment sites.

You can post all the pleas you want to these "zombies" and their masters, but as long as robo-calling exists, you will continue to be deluged with these "pestilential" phone calls.
Your best defense is to educate yourself, your family, and others about spam phone calls/FAXes/e-mails, as you are doing right here at 800notes.
Your second best defense is to avail yourself of Caller ID. If you see a name and/or number you do not recognize, do not pick up the call! Don't press any numbers. Report the call to the FCC and the National DNC registry -- and your state's attorney general (for starters).
jenny 2013-04-19 16:46:04 Unknown
stop calling. Please.
jenny 2013-04-19 16:45:03 Unknown
They always call from different numbers. What I decided to do was save each call as a contact under School Stalker. Sometimes the numbers will match. Just keep saving them, especially if you are waiting on a call from a potential employer. If you are using a cell provider that charges you minutes ..... good luck. I don't, but would be pissed.

hmmm, i just applied for a job online as well and missed the call while i was doing laundry. hopefully they won't call back. lesson learned though; unless i'm applying directly to the company, i'm not going to give out my information.
jenny 2013-04-19 16:31:17 Unknown
This company is INSANE! Boarder line stalker's. I simply want to apply for jobs online and my phone rings off the hook. I cannot even finish the application for a job before my cell gets banged about education.
I HAVE UNSUBSCRIBED TO ALL OF THE EMAILS. It doesn't work.
At the end of the day, I simply answer my phone because I have my resume out there.
Hanging up on the Rep does not help.
My friend Shaun told me what he says to these callers: "College?....yes, sounds great, but I have a 400 credit score, owe 200k on my house that is in foreclosure and I am homeless."
"Is it free?"
BTW... I just received another call while typing this text. FUN.

these people calls, and if you dont anwser, you hit redial to see who answer and you get back the recordin g of the phone com that the way the call was dial can not connect to this no. , but, then i though on not letting the phone redial back , i dial the phone no. and a man answer and i told them i i just received a call from them in relation of education and he inmediately passed me to a women who started to ask question , where i live that she can get me a college where i want to study, not sure if this is a scam, because if this is for real, is not going to be free, for sure and they will requiere a credit card and personal information, so i thing people, be careful dont give out these information theres to many scam artist on the internet . these calls are everywhere iam in Puerto Rico and i got that call here.

Who's no. is this?
Brittany 2012-11-30 01:38:55 Unknown
If you call the number back after normal business hours (I called around 7:30pm central time), the automated voice machine will prompt you to either:
1. Leave a message or
2. press 1# to not be called back again.
I pressed 1# and they haven't called back.
Good luck!

I just call back to this number, and a guy told me that somebody give my phone number away because I was interested to go back to school, so I told him to please do not call me anymore, and he will take my phone number from that list
