Give them a phoney name,  have about 8000+ in debt from a credit card.

these idiots call me everyday as ANN or RACHELI gave them a phoney credit card number and they put me thru to a 'real' person and number instead of the spoof number you can't trace.

If you cared to read the actual documents you would see " the FTC HALTED the operation" that means  STOPPED and that was actually on June 2 2010.
The fact that complaints doubled since SBN was taken down logically should be a indicator that it was not actualy SBN initiating these calls.

"Hans Smit" left a post on 14 Oct 2011 that's interesting, because it looks like he is the Johan Hendrik Smit Duyzentkunst who was an owner of SBN Peripherals, the company that facilitated billions of robocalls like the ones described here. Oh gosh, HE's not to blame--the bad guys just used their equipment!

It's also interesting that he claims SBN was put out of business in June 2010, because on 28 March 2012 this announcement was made: "The Federal Trade Commission put a robocall operation out of the telemarketing business under a settlement resolving FTC charges that it bombarded consumers with more than two billion calls pitching a variety of products and services, including worthless extended auto warranties and credit card interest rate-reduction programs." As part of the settlement the FTC is looking at "assets valued at approximately $3 million, including more than $1 million obtained from a bank account in Hong Kong, a $375,000 lien on a home, a 50 percent interest in an office building in Saipan, the defendants' interest in seven parcels of undeveloped land, as well as three cars and a recreational vehicle." Looks like providing robocall dialing services makes you good money.

Anyway, Mr. Smit's downfall may not mean an end to these calls, like he says. There are other scumbags out there eager to supply the technology for other scumbags to make harassing robocalls. Maybe the one I got yesterday was a case in point.

The phone number registered to SBN Peripherals just leads to a voicemailbox. The wife has a phone number of 818-961-7475. I got that number from googling, finding out she owns a website and looking up the Whois for the site and getting contact info.

The Feds are hard at work for you, and as far as i can see by all these complaints it has helped a lot !

For the interested consumers that actually read what they post before they re-post it : SBN Peripherals was a service provider to the telemarketing industry, we had a internet based  computer system that allowed telemarketers to make phone calls and sell THEIR services.
We were accused of aiding and abetting telemarketers by the FTC and in a Razzia that took place on June 2 2010 all of our assets (money and property) were seized, and our company was put into receivership.

That means any call after June 2 2010 could not have come from our system, since we were quite effectively killed by the feds!!!!!! ( maybe they killed the wrong company ????????????)

I've been receiving calls from Rachel for (?) years. Am on DNC registry. Have tried everything. Calling them and asking to be removed. Pressing the number to be removed.

Most recently received 2 calls almost back to back. (in past couple months?) 1st, I hung up on. 2nd, I waited for a human and began ranting. The guy told me, I should calm down. Sited the phone book directory info for my phone number and told me anyone could call it.  He said being published made it like a sidewalk. He cussed, ranted, and told me to try an sue them, he bragged that they had the best attorneys and told me I wouldn't get anywhere.

Rachel from Card Holder Services - I haven't the slightest idea of her current number, but after a year of hiatus she's driving me crazy again.  If I hit 9 to talk back, does that get me a phone charge I'll have to contest?  I don't know how she stopped last time..

I got a call from this number on May 27th at 12:01 PM.  They said because of my excellent payment history, that I would qualify for a lower credit card rate.  They said they were with Card Services, the company that sends out the credit card statements each month.  They wanted to know expiration dates, billing zip codes, etc.  I was kind of caught off guard, thinking it was ligitimate because I had made a huge payment (7k of a 12k balance) and I briefly thought that could have instigated the call.  The only info I gave her was my card expiration date.  When she asked me to verify the card number by providing it to her, I said that if she was who she said she was, she'd have all that information.  I then said I wouldn't give them any info and simply hung up.

Recieved a call from this number today. There was a recording to press 9 tospeak to an operator then the busy signal

Got call from “Cardholder Services” about lowering interest rate, said to press 9.
Pressed 9, got Michael.
Asked for the name of the company calling me and he said  the credit card company was. I replied it certainly was not since I work for BAC and know that Cardholder Services is not a valid company.
Asked for phone number to be taken off list and was given this phone number to remove myself from the list: 8008470911
Asked again for his company’s name, he only gave Cardholder Services
Asked for address of the company and was disconnected by “Michael”.

showed up on caller ID as Yuma  AZ.    No message left

I asked politely to remove my number from the calling list, that this is a cell phone and it cost me money to answer this phone call.  The very rude representive said, "It only cost you money when you answer the phone DUMMY!" I responded with some profanity and hung up the phone, I didn't want to seem like a dummy and keep wasting my minutes.

Have reported them and have taken the additional step of sending a message to my congressman. Maybe if congress hears from the public they'll put some teeth into the do not call list.

Scam to lower credit card rates.

Have been getting about 1 call a week from Rachel at Cardholder Services on 5/23/11 and 5/26/11 also from 801-657-8177 on 5/26/11.  I have asked to be removed; they hang up.  I called back and actually got through and asked what number to punch to be removed; was told "3".  Tried that on the next call and was put through to man who wanted to reduce my credit debt.  When told I had been given a 3 to remove , he hung up.

Help with unpaid balance on my credit card? I don't carry a balance. Where do they get people's numbers. I have repeatedly requested that this party stop calling me.

My phone is registered on the "Do Not Call" registry and I am getting calls on a regular basis from this number. It has something to do with my credits cards. I never answer when and unknown number pops up on the caller ID. I am a Senior Citizen with no credit card problems and thes constant calls are very annoying.

I answered the call, there was a click , then a telephone began ringing. A male answered and asked if I was calling about credit card something or other. I told him, no appearantly this was a call generated on your end. Told him to take my number off the calling list and I was hung up on.
