I just happened to be reading this thread and I can't believe how stupid people can be.  Do you really think you can get a well paid job with a well known airline by a stranger calling out of the blue?  The airlines don't operate that way.  Employers don't operate that way either.

In this post 9/11, NSA world, you have to go through background checks, fingerprinting, drug testing etc. etc.  No English, no SSN, no US citizenship, suuuuuuure!!!!  I have a bridge to sell to you.

And some village idiot, Sharon, thinks that a bus will arrive in 20 mins time to take her to the airport, because she believes she has a job.

The fact that they ask for money upfront, to be sent via Western Union, is a big red flag that this is a scam!
Employers usually pay for drug tests and background checks.  And they don't ask you to pay for uniforms upfront before they hire you - they deduct it from your paycheck after you're hired.

A Danny Rivera (929) 230-9061 is calling and targeting  offering positions at jfk jet blue starting at $18.50 and a supervisors position at $22.50.  He asked me first for $200 for uniforms and he want it me to send it using Western Union. He told me to to call him while im at the western union because he wants to make sure everything is filled out correctly. Once everything was done and he got the money he then calls me back and tells me that i need to pay $150 more. SCAM! when i told him i didnt have the money and that i left western union he started being so rude and bitchy. i told him to give me my money back and he hung up on my face i called him back and then he said i needed to wait up to 12 hours. f****ng bi*** i hope he gets caught and that people google before not after like i did.

We received a call from this person calling himself Daniel Rivera from American Airlines.  He told us that they have some positions available in the Cleveland Airport and they wanted to hire some hispanics for the positions.  we pass the information along to some clients thinking it was a legitimate offer.  It all resulted in a scam and he took some money from people.

Alguien puede hacer algo con este tipo, por que preciona, obliga, exije. que le manden el dinero por Wester Union despues de dar una informacion totalmente falza, por que sin pasar ninguna entrevista el pide el dinero y tiene que hacer el envio  a nombre de Pedro Ruiz.

I work at Centro De La Comunidad ( a Latino Community Center) in Baltimore, Maryland this afternoon I received a called from Mr. Danny Rivera with phone number 929 230-9061 stating that he was a supervisor in American Airlines and he was in need of 15 people to fill in position. To find out that we recommended a client and he called her asking for her to go to Western Union and deposit $210 for the uniform that she needed to start her new position. She called me back and I thought that's not right I called Mr. Danny Rivera back and when I began to ask him question about why they had to pay I asked him to give me his location he hang the phone on me. Please be very careful with people like this no respect to anyone.

This guy called today 3/18/14 to our catholic charities immigration office.. Claimed he is an American Airlines Manager...they are looking for people who take tickets from passengers... offering $17.50/hr... that they don't need to speak English ...and on top of it they don't even have to have a social security number..he said his name was Danny Rivera. When I ask who referred him he said that Senora Maria...and I asked for a last name he said..she is a family friend that he wasn't sure of her last name....this guy is full of it and then he said I only have 15 spots left open. He then proceeds to give me his office number 929-230-9061..these are all positions for American Airlines at JFK....why would his number be 929-AREA CODE. Someone needs to get this guy.

Ok yes it is a Scam!!! I got a call from Danny Rivera from Puerto Rico offering a job $22 hr as a supervisor I was so happy thinking that I got a job, he told me he will send transportation to take me to the airport so I could get my uniform and my drug test and my finger prints taken.. Since I had a friend that needed a job she got her too.. So we both paid $600 and after he said he will send the transportation in 20 min to take me to the airport.. We been waiting for that stupid transportation iv been calling him for the past  hour and now he doesn't answer!!! I hope this helps anyone so dey won't get scams

This man by the name of Daniel Rivera called me offering a job at Jet Blue airlines starting at 18.50 an hour for maintenance work since I spoke english i would earn 22 an hour as a supervisor. He asked if I knew of anyone and I referred some associates to him by giving this number to them they called. Out of the several people that called him only one person sent money to him a total of $400 dollars. For uniform and fingerprints. Once we heard he was asking for money we notified all referrals not to send money. We asked for his location to fill out the application and he hung up. this occured 12192013
Has anyone notified the authorities.

I received a call saying the excat thing offering me a position with no experience needed as a supervisor for american airlines at 22.50 the hour and to deposit 250  for the uniform..his name was danny dont fall for iy its a scam ....Scamm fraud

We just received a call from a Danny Rivera offering work at American Airline at $18 an hour, no need to speak English. He said if we get him people he would give us a round trip ticket. We knew it was too good to be true, looked up this number and found other victims. BE CAREFUL, DON' T FALL FOR THIS.

This man that claims to be  from Puerto Rico told me I was being offered a position at the airport,  I asked what airport even though there's only one airport where I live,  he couldn't answer me and quickly asked for my number to make sure he had the right person? My phone number is a Texas number but I've been living in Chicago for 5 years so I gave him a California number and said "yes your the correct person for the position at LAX" , I caught him in a lie and told him, he hung up...    

A David Rivera (929) 230-9061 is calling and targeting Spanish speakers offering positions in American Airlines  starting at $18.50 and for English speakers a supervisors position at $22.50.  He asked $250 in advance using Western Union and you have to call him while your at the western union because he wants to make sure everything is filled out correctly in order to get the money on time so you can start the very next day. Once you there he  ask you $150 more for the ID that you keep and the drug test ! SCAM SCAM SCAM ! FRAUDA!!!!

It's a scam ...... They call regarding American Airlines it's not true it's a scam

This just happened to me and my family today. My mother in law was contacted and we didnt think anything of it until he started telling us about sending him money. Did you give him your address?

I received a fraud and scam call from this number (929) 230-9061 offering job offer at American Airlines. The "man" that calls is under the name of LEONARDO GARCIA

This a Scam and Fraud ! Leonardo Garcia called my church offering positions in American Airlines starting at $18.50 ! He asked $200 in advance using Wenster Union in order to get the uniforms and then if you speak English he will offer you a Supervisor position at $22 per hour base but the uniform is more expensive so you have to send him $150 more. Once you send all that money he ask you $100 more for the ID and the drug test ! I it all a Scam !
