I received a voicemail from 929-268-1526 from Tim Watner who said he was calling from the DEA Drug Enforcement Agency in my area.  He sounded as if he was reading from a script.  He had a spanish accent and tried very hard to pronouce my name correctly.  He stated his office has been working on a criminal case involving a Pharmaceutical company for the past four years and my name came up.  He stated I could be facing felony charges and I need to contact him to workout this matter outside of the court system.  I did not return the call.  I trust the other comments to beleive this is not a DEA office, just some attempt to committ fraudulent activity.

called my phone saying they Christopher Randolph with the DEA and they were going to serve a search warrant and arrest me. Not DEA!

Please read the DEA website article.  I would have probably fallin for it if I hadn't thought to google "DEA SCAMS".  I have received, just today, three calls from three different people using two different numbers.  They are very rude and try to  make you feel like a criminal.  DO NOT fall for it.......  I have reported both numbers and their name to the "extortion scam" number.  Thank goodness for GOOGLE!!!!!!

rec call fm 'robert parson' re an 'on-going' inv. when contacted dea in home area, they verified this info as NOT fm the dea.

Called saying he was from the DEA office out of New York, that "my case" had been transferred from Washington DC Customs office regarding a purchase made in 2006.  Told him to send me written documentation of the purchase, because I did not remember making a purchase so needed to refresh my memory.  He proceeded to tell me that officers would be at my place in 9 minutes to arrest me...  Not happened.

This is a revised Scam of a Call that made its way around about a year ago. They are calling people from old pharmacy list's that might of made purchases years ago on line or over the phone.
Please People-Dont fall for this scam. If it was the DEA, they would not call you and ask you for Money over the phone. These people are hoping that someone will be scared enough to give them money over the phone-usually via western union or money gram. No DEA agent is going to call and ask you for money.

They are hoping that a few people will be scammed and send them money. the number isnt even real. Its a "Magic" jack number they are using.

Dont fall for this. Anyone remember the old Nick Delgado Agent scam of last year? Well, here they go again. Its not real. Dont fall for it. No DEA agent will EVER ask you to send money to them over the phone to prevent charges from being filled agent you.

Its a SCAM!!!!!!! Dont Fall for it. As the Real DEA Website says-They will NEVER call and ask for Money. Its not real. Plus the number sounds like a real cheap connection, that has No main number or switchboard.

I received a call also and reported it to the FTC.  What an idiot

Recieved voicemail saying they were waiting to hear from me about an investigation that was still open.  I called the number and said I was returning his call but had no idea what he was talking about.  He said Could you please repeat that?  I then asked who is this that is calling me and they hung up.  Then I check this number on internet and now I know why they hung up, obviously not a legitamate call.

I just called this punk back. He's trying to shake people down, and he sounds like he's about 15 years old. I told him to hold the line, while I conferenced in the local  FBI office. Of course, he hung up. Don't waste your time, or even better, get your local FBI office on the line and then call him back. Wish I would've done that first . . .  W**ker.

Received several calls from this same person, saying he was Mark Walters from the DEA.  Since reading above, I have not responded.

I was scammed from another one of these people years ago calling from 'Washington DC"....asked for money to close this matter and they will threaten and scare you to death

Call from DEA agent "Mark Waller" using this phone number, to a client threatening arrest.  I returned called and when identifying myself as attorney, they hung up.  This is not a DEA phone number

Ha I just got a message from this number claiming to be Mark Waters DEA. Call them back.

Just got a phone call from this number claiming to be the FBI.  What is this all about?

Received a call from this number stating they were a DEA agent.  When I said I was calling my local police station he became irate and yelled that he would arrest me for that......Idiot.
