Have gotten at least two calls from this number.  Caller ID has unavailable.  I do not answer these types of calls.  Left no message.

got call, picked up - silence, then hang up. When I called back noone was available and offered to leave a message. I didn't.

Got a call, person was speaking in spanish. When I asked do you speak english he said in perfect english, I will call you back and hung up. Fraud!

Same as the others here. Calls, answering machine picks up, they do the "trying to connect" thing, which is clearly a recording. Nothing else. Caller ID simply says "Texas call" and the number.

Got a call from this number at 11:45am today and, likewise, when I answered a recording said we are trying to connect you.  Then there was nothing else.  Trying to connect me to what????  I didn't ask to be connected to anything ... are these people crazy.

Texas State Troopers or some strange thing...can't beleive they're still trying to solicit money from people.
I get these alot....but they ALWAYS start sputtering and hang up very quickly when I say, "My son is a police officer, I'll ask him if he knows of this" LOL

Similar to the other posts. Human nature is to believe and to trust anything related to law enforcement. I actually said yes to donating and as i was giving him my CC # my brain finally kicked in. I asked for a callback # and when i look it up it comes back with the commercial solicitor posts. I personally will instead contact the Texas State Troopers and make a direct donation.

The message from this number on my voice mail sounded more like someone calling from a bar! ... then again, it  could have been a VERY noisy call center.  Whatever.  I don't contribute to any of the police or firemen "charities" to - as they claim - help support a police officers family if they die while putting their life on the line in the call of duty.  My response to them every time is "isn't that what LIFE INSURANCE is for?" ... and 80% administrative fees???  Funny enough, the law actually allows up to 88% admin fees for a 501c3 organization.  Non-profit? Yeah, right.

Call me and hang up - just another ROBO-CALL. With all the companies changing stuff so much, I'd not be surprised if it's another collection agency..

Quite calling me

I also received a call from 936-553-5573, claiming to be soliciting donations for the state troopers association.  When I asked him what precentage of the donation actually goes to the association, he stumbled for a minute then said that "as much as 20%" goes to the troopers, with the remaining amount supporting the donation effort.  When I asked him if that meant 80 cents of every dollar went to pay his salary, he got very confused.

ANY charity that diverts 80% to pay for call centers is immediately suspect.  Do NOT give any money to these guys.

Received calls from this number reads unknown name and the number 936-553-5573. They do not leave a message..Get these calls everyday when not at home...

Just received call from this number.  When answered, he asked for my wife? When I ask who was calling, they abruptly hung up.

6:59 pm - Just received call from this number.  When answered they abruptly hung up.

He called the public library where I was volunteering.  He was trying to solicit donations for the state troopers.  When I told him it was a public library, he tried to start his script anyway.  So I told him again and hung up.

Just received a call, they asked for my husband.  I have received several calls from various numbers with no name on the caller id.  It just shows up with the city and state.  They always ask for my husband and when I say he is not here they hang up.

Keep getting calls everyday from this number.  Most of the time it is dead when I pick it up.  Once my wife stated that they ask for me and they stated they would call back later.
