We're a sign company and got this same email yesterday - sounded fishy, googled and found this site.  Thanks everyone saved me a bunch of time trying to put a quote together.

Received the same request for quote for banner yesterday. thought it suspicious & have been googling to find out who this guy is. He has given a Melbourne address to deliver to. Who is he???
Wants to pay by credit card.

Las week I received an order from him, he sent me the credit card authorization form filled by email and tried to pay with 2 different cards. Same history, stolen cards.

I found on the web Rev. Robert Clark, he past away on Nov 2010.

beware of this and other scumbags.every are bad news.this one is in north africa.he is also a hacker using other peoples credit cards. My friends missed by one hour on being ripped off.   Always verify and double check.  Check criminal backgrounds  .  Remember what grandpa used to say.......if it skins tlo glod to be true...it probably isn't.

Reverend (insert name here).  For us, he went by Reverand Robert Clark.  Claims to be from the Prysbeterian Church of God.This guy sure is a busy beaver!    He has used the number 781-941-2217 and that number is listed here with many hits of fraud.  He is using stolen credit cards and a fake shipping company out of Ghana called RAF Shipping Company that orginated a fax from 1-803-753-0180.  He is more than happy to pay $4,900 in shipping fees and his english is very poor and he gets nervous and he hangs up if you put him on hold (he must thing we are tracing him). He claims to need labels/banners and engraved plates and wants them shipped to Indonesia. He will verbally give a credit card number (stolen) but will not fax a copy of it to us.  He changes his name to suite the card he has stolen at times.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON!

Christmas is over, but he remains in the "Christmas Spirit" of giving, what with his Merry Christmas wish and all.  Maybe Santa left him a Rosetta Stone for English under his Christmas tree this year??  He also used the 937.418.2539 phone number and actually gave us an email address of robertclark2g@gmail.com.  Give him a 'holla sometime!

We were contacted the same as the above sign company with the same email message looking for banners.  we provided a quote for ($5150.00) and were told by the client that he was ok with the costs and to proceed to get shipping information from RAF Shipping Company.  When we did and the information came from a shipping company outside of the USA. that put up a red flag to us that we may check into this.  thus finding this information on the internet,  dont be fooled by this guy.  i emailed him back questioning this and now i get no response as well.

I just received the same message,  I like the part  about pick up 1000 mile away

I received this same email also, must be a scam. I also got a response from a person wanting to by a camper shell I am selling on Craigs list, and they wanted to send me extra money to run through my account to pay their movers. Ive heard of this trick before, once I cash the check and pay the movers, days later the check bounces and your libel for the funds. It happens because of the bank delay on the cashiers check. I don't know how the credit card scam works thou.Its suspect because of the way the email is worded, similar phrasing, as if English was their second language.
