Some third party trying using Humana's name by spoofing phone # to get info for purpose of scheduling a nurse to give a health checkup. Sorry, I don't fall for it. Shut them down!!!!

I received a call from this number at 8:30 am this morning, a Saturday.  The caller ID said that the call was from Humana, which IS my insurance company, but I did not answer.  I just called the number back and got a recording that I had reached Matrix Medical Network and was asked to hold for the next available operator, agent or something like that.  I held for just a moment or two and then hung up and googled Matrix Medical Network, which got me to the website www.matrixforme.com.   Apparently, it is a company that is subcontracted by various health insurance companies to send a nurse practitioner to your home or nursing facility to do a "limited, non-invasive physical exam", review your medications, answer any questions you may have "about your health, medications, or other health-related topics", etc.  After reading just the home page of that website, it does appear to me to be legitimate, but I'm still not going to take their calls.  Personally, I think it's just a ploy by the various insurance companies to obtain information that will give them an excuse to recommend other services (physical therapy, different or more medications, in-home medical equipment or supplies, etc.) that would help put more money in the insurance company's pocket.  I have real doctors to assess my needs so I certainly don't need some nurse hired by my insurance company telling my doctors how to do their jobs, and I'm pretty sure that anyone who already has insurance wouldn't need it either.  That said, I know there are scams out there, but I don't think this is one of them, aside from the fact that the insurance companies are just trying to get more money out of their own customers.

Person called today Jan.27,2014 and said that he was calling from Humana and would like to schedule an appointment for a yearly check-up on my husband and myself.  An appointment was made for February 11,2014 between 12 noon and 5pm. the number in my caller ID is the same number that's at the top of my screen.  After I hung up my husband said that this did not sound right to him and he immediately went out on the internet to see what was there.  He found this information.

Have called several times, and never leave a message.  I did pick up one time and they were from Humana and wanted to check up on me.  I was in class and unable to talk to them, they said they would all back.  I have since gone on line to see that it is just another scam from people trying to make a 'fast buck'.  I wonder how many of these scammers are out there.  I would love to get a list of all the scam phone numbers and drop it in an email.  It would be around the world in a matter of days or weeks.  If it was kept up to date,  they may have to  get a real job.   OH well - just dreaming!!!

Apparently it is a scam where they say they are from an insurance company and want to come to your home to discuss your health needs. They then case your home, and if there are any valuables, come back and burglarize you. Be careful of ObamaCareScams!!

I receive many calls from this number. I recently read that it's a spoofed number with Humana showing up on caller ID. This is what's happening now with AT&T wireless customers being scammed from spoofed caller ID to make you think it's AT&T calling, but what they want is your personal information. It's always best to call customer service or Humana Member Services in this case.

Got a phone call from this number trying to make an appointment for a nurse for Human who wanted to visit my house. After not taking no for an answer I hung up.

They called and hung up.  When I returned the call, they asked if I was covered by an insurance company.  I did not say "yes" or "no."  They asked to confirm my address.  I did not confirm.  I repeatedly asked them how I might be of service.  They would not tell me why they were calling.
