You go to google and type in the phone # and it will show you the person is in denton,tx. not katy,tx. It is a cell phone that the person uses. I had the same thing happen to me. There is also another scammer in new jersey www.consgamehere.com # 908-547-0950. Same thing . I looked up the phone # and it's a cell phone. The person gets your information on line if you shop on line. If not try and remember where you used your card. Best thing to do is report it and cancel your card and get another one.

I too got hit with an $8.88 charge last week. I've already called them and gotten my money refunded but they said something that kinda shocked me. I'm on the phone with the lady give her my last four digits of my card and she says that I made the purchase on the date, etc, etc and the name on the card was (My mothers name). I asked her to repeat herself and she said the card was (My mothers name). I went off on the lady explaining that I knew about the whole scam and I wanted my money back immediately and I knew exactly where the got my credit card number from. About 6 weeks ago, I used my card to pay my mothers telephone bill and she is with Century Link (Formely Embarq/Sprint. This is was a one time only event and the only thing that has ever tied my card with my mother. I haven't yet but I will be contacting Century Link and let them know their system is very vulnerable to hackers. I just wanted to pass this along in case it helps anyone else put two and two together.

I am having the same problem as everybody else. I was looking at my checking act on my phone and I noticed that I had a charge from Game Device Kit fro $8.58. The only thing I can think of is my Iphone has my Debit Card # saved on it for any purchses I make through app's. I NEVER use my debit card - the only thing I can think of is I might have updated an app that shared my debit info! Just to be safe - I am deleting a lot of app's this evening! I went to the bank today cancel my debit card and to obtain a new card. My bank and myself called them today and I spoke with "Sharon". 1-940-268-4840 was the # that showed up on my bank act. Sharon did not speak well English, and had a very difficult time understanding my southern accent as well. When I asked her what my charge was for she said it was for a cover for my Wii (And she spelled out Wii- and she couldn't tell me what a Wii was:even though I knew, but she clearly doesn't know anything about gaming systems). I don't own a Wii and then she spelled out their website and said that I could obtain information about my gaming device online and hung up on me. (She really wanted me to go to their website) I asked her what state that she was based from and she said Katy, TX. (Which again she had to spell) This is a scam, and I will be pressing charges!

I am having the same problem. Last night as I was looking at my statement online, I noticed that I had a charge from Game Device Kit fro $9.96. I immediately called my bank to cancel my credit card and they have issued new cards. I tried to call them last night and got no answer. I called this morning (1-940-268-4840) and was able to speak to a lady named Sharon. Her English was broken however when I asked her what the charge was for, she said it was for a universal charger device for a PlayStatsion (PS). I told her I don't own a PS and then she continued to say that someone must have my card information and that they wouldn't just charge my account. I asked her how they would order and she said through their website gamedevicekit.me and as we were talking, I went online and couldn't find it. I told her that and she didn't have a comment to it. I was pretty upset so I told her to have her manager call me tomorrow (since her manager was out of office today), left my phone number. Sharon said her mangers name is Mary and they are out of Katy, TX. We'll see if she calls. . . what a mess!

I just ordered a book from Amazon. However I had gift cards I used and didn't enter my debit card number. I don't think I have bought anything off the site using my actual debit card number in over a year.

This company charged my bank account without out my permission!!!!
christal 2012-02-28 16:59:50 Unknown
I received a charge from this Games Device Kit also for $8.58. I never received a call from them, but when I call their number, nobody answers. My bank is working on it also. $8+ may not sound like much, but when you are living paycheck to paycheck, it can really mess you up. Now I have to wait up to 10 days to even get my money back from the bank's investigation.

charged $10.66 to my card for a game device kit that was never orderd. all attempts to contact anyone is unsuccessful.

I found an unknown charge on credit card from "Game Device Kit" with this number listed. When I called, the recording said no one was available to take my call. I notified my credit card company about the fraud after finding all these similar complaints, and have cancelled the card. WATCH OUT FOR THESE CROOKS!! Sounds like they are making a fortune, one small charge at a time!

Unauthorized charge to my credit card... watch for this scam
Jill 2012-02-27 18:33:18 Unknown
I did not receive a call. Nor would I give out personal info over the phone to someone I didn't know.
I have two charges on my card, I also have two more charges that posted earlier this week for a fake doctor and a fake investment firm.
I have cancelled my cards.
Have not purchased from Amazon in years. Not sure how they got the info.

Have you called the number and reported your charge?
debramc7 2012-02-26 21:14:41 Unknown
Well, same thing happened to me - $10.13 charge on my Visa card (which I check online every morning and every night). We have to get new cards issued again. Same thing happened in December (with a different scammer) for $1.00. Being retired from the banking industry, I know when scammers are fishing in accounts to see if it's a valid account. If only everyone could check their accounts online every day, some of these crooks could be stopped, but I understand that many, many people do not have internet access.

I got charged a little over $10 for something called "Game Device Kit". I called my bank and they told me that the company was out of Katy Texas and that it came through early in the morning. It seems like a lot of people are having this problem. No one seems to know how they are getting the card numbers?
Wesley Griffith 2012-02-25 17:39:31 Unknown
A charge of $9.74 showed up on my Visa card and tried to reach them to ask about this charge. Only heard broken English of Indian or Pakistani voice. Will replace cards.
UNKNOWN 2012-02-23 21:40:12 Unknown
I was also charged for a Play Station cover!!! WTH!!! I do not have a play station nor ordered a such thing! What is going on????

The number is 940-268-4840.... Asian sounding voice on the answering machine directing you to call back or sending you to emailsupport@gamedevicekit.me.

I got no calls. Just happened to find a charge for $9.03 on my checking account yesterday as a POS and that means they did not have to have a required security code nor the expiration date needed to do the transaction since those commiting the fraud are acting as if they did. The most frustrating thing was the bank did not allow me to block the charge while it was pending but it had to post before I could challenge it. They said it was the only way to have a valid fraud. Meanwhile, I just happened to stumble across this site after doing a reverse number look up and found it was registered number in Dention TX. Why has'nt Visa caught up to this? They are the one's who are requesting the banks to verify the validity of our card numbers and request that the banks authorize the amounts are available for the transactions as long as monies are available. I'm going back to checks.

What was the phone number you called? Please post it here.
Deb Greenway 2012-02-23 15:35:27 Unknown
So I'm seeing that there may be a common denominator here - Amazon? I, too, made a card purchase at Christmastime.
Deb Greenway 2012-02-23 15:32:05 Unknown
Can you please email me the number you used to reach them? This just happened to me yesterday. Thanks, Deb debgreenway@yahoo.com

I never received a call. I looked at my debit card statement to find a $9.91 charge for GAME DEVICE KIT KATY. I called the bank no number for this company. Googled and got this page. If my card isn't used or authorized and this company has no info why are these banks running through these charges.
Now, I have to go into the bank just to dispute the charge and get a new card sent out.
