Keep getting calls at least 3 times a week from 940-280-3051...caller ID says "Michael"....they call at 4:00 AM!!!!!!!

This number calls 4 times per week.  We have blocked it, but now it comes up as a number 1.  You call it, and get a message, this number is not accepting calls!  I'd love to find who it is, and kick his A**!

This c*** sucking trog called me a 6:22 in the morning. I am praying this isn't a telemarketer because I am going to call this number all night long

Caller ID showed "Unknown Number" and the female non-native English speaking caller asked for my wife, and I asked who was calling and they said "Mortgage Relief" and I asked her if she needed relief from her mortgage. When I asked if we had a pre-existing relationship to justify the call, the caller hung up.

Answered the phone, even though the caller ID showed "Texas" and I don't know anyone in Texas.  I was curious and in a foul mood to boot.  A pleasant sounding women, with, what sounded like, a Spanish accent, asked for me by name.  She mentioned a mortgage program and wanted to verify that I was paying more than 3.0% on my mortgage.  I told her I didn't have a mortgage and to please take my name off her calling list.  She said she would.  We'll see.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

This number continually calls and is harassing. I suspect it is a scam. I do not answer because I don't recognize the number and it identifies on our caller ID as Witchita Falls TX. Who ever this is they do not leave a message.

When you attempt to call the number, you get a fast busy tone.

Caller ID shows unknown name.  Getting calls every day regarding national mortgage something or other.  Sounds like Middle Easterners on VOIP type phone, all static and hard to hear.  Have told them repeatedly that we are on the National and State (MA) Do Not Call Lists and to remove our Name and Number from their list and NOT TO CALL BACK!

Attempted to report this phone number to the Do Not Call Complaint but, the number has not been registered for 31 days.

So true.  Poor old lady in nearby Glendale got scammed out of her life savings by some one in Jamaica who called her telling her she won a huge amount of money but would have to pay a fee.  Lost $65,000.  All she has now is SS and some donations and she swtill has a hard job as a waitress.  So sad.

I got a call from this today and did not answer. These are all parts of scammers who are 'spoofing' caller id to look like anynumber they want including sometimes official govt agencies like IRS, Immigration and Naturalization service. So it looks like official call but it is from scammers making up stories about owning money and asking you to send them cash via western union, money pak or reloadit type of services. 1% of the people fall for this scam and they have been successful in getting thousands of dollars from many people. I got this by googling all the numbers they call from.

Be careful!!  Don't fall for anything they say. And don't give them any information and don't send them  money. You will be surprized how many people have been scared into sending money  by telling them there is a warrant out or something.

Best thing is to not answer.

 Yet again, the mystery is how/why these calls occur, when there appears to be no coherent scam strategy. First rule of fraud seems to be "sound legitimate", then lead the victim down a logical path until you get them to reveal useful information. These calls are so clearly suspicious that I can't imagine anyone (except my late father!) even figuring out how to offer information to them!
(My father would actually answer any confusing call by volunteering " I'm an elderly senior living alone, I don't understand what you want") I wanted to yell, "Just get a 30-ft neon sign for your rooftop, saying Gullible Senior - backdoor's unlocked".

Received call from this number today saying that I was eligible for home mortgage modification through HAFP (???).  Thick accented female (chinese?).  She new my name, address, mortage company name. Said a "case manager" would call me back next Tuesday.  Number has caller ID of Wichita Falls  TX

Called and left no message. ID only lists the number 1-940-280-3051. Be aware that any number can be manipulated to appear as a US based number and may indeed be originating from overseas. Never answer a call from a number you do not know as a matter of policy.
