Received a call from this number this morning - Caller ID says "State Wide".  I picked it up and got that familiar "telemarketing" delay before someone came on the line so I hung up.

I received the same caller ID saying "State Wide" Never pick up the phone when I don't recognize the number.

Same number, caller ID said State W so I didn't answer

I got a call from this number on Thursday afternoon but I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it. No voicemail message was left.

I have been receiving calls from this number and they never leave a message.  I called back and a man answers.  I answered once in spanish and he hung up.  Caller id says Ronald Vess.

calls many times never an answer. i called back a few times a man said hello  and then whent to voice mail. i have listed him as a flake. should be a way to block this number.

Phone rang twice, caller id said 'State Wide'940-799-1069. Said hello but no one there.

Called 4-7-2009 @ 20:32, left no message.  Sure glad I have a recorder and caller ID!

Call received Apr 1, 7:47 pm - sounded like a guy growling briefly and hang up.

We have given to a state troopers fund before - it goes to help those officers hurt or killed in the line of duty.  But I don't recall it showing up as "statewide" and certainly never had anyone growl when leaving a message...

no message left on machine.

Weird I just called this # back said mailbox was full and said the name was "noise of someone breahing into the phone" But when he called me I was playing along told him yeah sure i'll donate" Then I hung up on him, he then called me back using his CELL PHONE ..I told him I googled his # while he was talking to me and he came up as a scam. He said 'huh' ok you have a nice day" I then called his cell phone back it rang and rang and finally his voice mail picked up and it said his name was "chris" I left a lenghty message being as rude as I could so he'd stop calling me' So far today i've had 3 phone calls from people trying to sell me car warranty's and now this jack*** ..the other day I had people claiming to be from some Cancer place taking donations. All these # of course as I expected came up as scams and I made sure to tell them to go F**K Themselves ..I don't being nice or being nasty to them will change the amount of phone calls you get ..its most likely a random dialer ..but i'll be sure to be nasty to these people everyday ..oh yeah one other thing they've managed to call my cell phone and my house phone ...we can find terrorists and other things but we can't track down scammers making phone calls?

I got a call from this number today 3-30-09.

i spoke to some guy ask to donate  funds to state trooper and i said yes and he ask how much 20.dollars. he wanted address so i give him a phoney address. state trooper make money off of us so why we have to donate. they dont work hard as the policeman. that guy was happy when i said i would not mind donate to our state trooper but it was so much noise in the background that he kept asking me same question and repeatly wrong so i kept agree w/him but i didn't want to be rude. so i let him think that the inform was correct. he said i should recieve package. i said ok that was it

i haved this call for to long already and just want for it to stop 940-799-1069  i called back to find voicemail full and the name static just like everybody else,,what do i do

I got a call from this number saying they were state troopers. Sometimes they try to collect donations. I then told him I wasn't interested and he said, "interested in what ma'am?", and then he just hung up. Weird.

It's a phoney charity. Claims to give money to the "Troopers." When I asked the telemarketer how much went to the "Troopers," he said, "All of it." His supervisor said it was 20%. The supervisor also said I was told the call was being taped which I wasn't.

Being a charity, they are exempt from the "Do Not Call" lists.

Thanks for the info.  Nothing came up on my cell phone and I don't owe any money (that I know of).  They need to stop. isn't there a place we can report them if we are on the "Do not call" registry?

Happen to me too.  Caller ID "Statewide".  I recalled the number & only got the 'mailbox full' message & static for a prerecorded name.  
I really wish that automated calls are not allowed for debt collectors.  I know who these people are calling for (not me, but someone with my first initial, last name) and it's aggravating when they repeatly call here.  UGH.

Got a call from this number twice today.
First call didn't leave a message second one I answered but they hung up shortly after I answered.
Caller ID said state wide. So did the man that called.
I tried to call back, only to find that the "voicemail" was full and the name of the person was only static.

Received call from this number a few minutes ago @ 18:59, 12/29/08. Caller ID said 'State Wide'.  Answered, hang up
