He called my cell phone and said i was entered in by a sweepstakes b/c of the mastercard, visa, or american express (do you still have one of those? yea, one in ten people don't....). Then he started talking to me about free magazine prescription and a 3day 2night vacation, and a weekly magazine of my choice (tv guide or new york). I told him i wasn't interestd in any magazines and he hung up on me. He knew my name, address and cell phone number. I was at my mother's house last night and they got a similar call, excpet my mom's husband was interested....

I received the same call and went with the program to see what is was all about. I got the packet in a timely fashion with my vacation in it. Everything seems to be fine as far as I can tell. They may have been working from home, I checked into it and the company does do that. They do hire people to call from home on their behalf. I got my first magazine today (after the full 10 weeks they say it might take) and I'm satisfied that the company is not a scam. To those of you that are claiming they are a scam.... did you even give them a chance?

They called me a few months ago and I did receive everything as promised. They do seem a little rough around the edges but are not a scam. I looked in to the charity and where all the money goes and they are the real deal. They may just be sub-contracted and working from home but they did everything they said they would and nothing else was ever charged to my credit card.

This person by the name of Chase has also contacted by mother regarding the same CA in November 2009, about 10 minutes ago. This phone number is a cell phone number in Florida. Be Aware do not give them any information. Its a scam.

A man named Chase called & said I won the Publishers Sweepstakes, and I am a Pref. Customer. The contest will be held on Dec. 31. Said "I won"! Also I will get the 3 magazines they picked for me. The only thing is I would need to pay $2.88 a week for TV guide, though, it goes to Charity. I asked which 1, he said " United Christian Asst. I asked him why on caller ID it comes up Ronald Miscaud @ (941) 201-6284. When I questioned how they were going to get paid the $2.88. He stated he did not know that part, though his boss would be calling me back. When I told him I would not be giving my credit card # over the phone. He hung up on me. Go figure. This man needs to be stopped.

Same call to me asking about my credit cards after he identified as publishers clearinghouse. I told him I don't give out personal data and he hung up. My caller ID had Ronald Miscaud and perhaps there was more to his last name. I sense fraud.

Said they were from Publishers Sweepstakes. I told them I am on a no-call list and hung up.
