My friend started receiving calls from "Austin Black" a few weeks ago and then last week $2000 was withdrawn from her checking account (the bank somehow linked it to these scammers, but i forget how) and then a few days later $300 and then another $1000...she put an alert on her social security number, filed a police report (Investogators called the number from her phone and spoke with A. Black and were told to go F themselves and he proceeded to call the Inv. liars and harrass them as well), made countless trips to her bank, closed her account, opened a new one and the next day $5000 was taken from THAT account!!! She went and spoke with an attorney this morning. It's crazy!!!! Any suggestions on what she should do now????

Hello I received a phone call yesterday from a Indian accent person from this number at work saying I owed there company and if I don't pay I would go to jail.  Was scared to death. So I did I some research and found this anyone that get a call from this number its a scam. Will be reporting to the police on this matter today about it.

I received the same phone call stating that I am in a heap of legal trouble. It was a gentleman of indian descent named lloyd banks. He called me at home and on my cell. Would not give me any information but said i needed to give him my bank information and make payment or wire him money to make this go away.  He wanted me to call back at number 305-434-7259. He called me from #941-357-7975 he scared my mother  more than anything. It is really irritating!

My wife keeps receiving these calls and I am not bout to take this lightly. someone needs to stop them.  I am a protector of my family if they playing they have picked the wrong one to play with.  They need to get a life before they loose it.

I got a call this morning and to my surprise it was a Middle Eastern guy who said his name was Bob from a law firm. He was talking fast, but seemed to know a lot of information about me. I asked what this was from and what company and then he transferred me to some lady. I was on my cell phone and the call dropped. She immediately called back and went on about how this was a legal matter and that it involved me getting a payday loan from Cash World. I have never had a payday loan, so I immediately told the lady to send me the information via mail so I can check it out. She went on to say that they have been trying to contact me and blah, blah, blah. After going back and forth with her I hung up the phone. She called back and said she had just called the police and they were on their way to pick me up. I came back to my desk and looked up the phone number and then found this site. Relieved to know that this is a SCAM. Wil definitely be signing up for some type of credit monitoring.

I have gotten calls from this number twice now today, once at work and on my cell and the number has changed from a previous FL number and they call saying it's important to call back. What are they trying to do? I don't owe any money.

I also had two calls from 9413577975 one was a week eailer and I was busy so was given a number to call when I tried later no one answered.  then the second call came the following week this time i took the call the man Shawn Williams, stating he was working with a lawfirm that there was a lawsuite aginst me and did I want the details, the caller said he was with a  from a Lawfirm in GA, he transfered me to the paralegal to read me my charges and I was not to interupt.  he said I had filled out a request for a payday loan from American Cash and that I was being charged with fraud because I had faulsly reported income to get the olan and then that I had not paid the loan back so now they had criminal theft charges as well.  I did interupt and say I never did apply nor receive any money from this company.  He told me there was nothing he could do for me that he was sending all my info to the local authorieties and that I would be arrested Monday morning at home or work, he then hung up.  I tried to call the number back but no one answered.

I just got a call from the 408 462-6582 a man with a thick accent left a message saying I need to call him back because it was a serious matter and that I needed an attorney, and that the matter was time sensitive. He ended the message saying that I needed to call him back and if I didn't then he didnt know what would happened to me.  The impression was that it was not going to be good.

I also was called by the same number saying that i took out a online loan and that i was going to be arrested for fraud and that i needed to start paying to stop the case from going to cort.So i told them nothing and went to my bank to get statments and told banker  what was going on and viewed all my direct deposits thay told me that it is a SCAM!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me 1/18/12 and the guy shawn williams from the same company mark jones legal and said i would be arrested the next day if i didnt pay $600 in one hour and would spend 3 days in jail if i didnt give them the money. I called my lawyer and they laughed! i was scared out of my mind because i have never been in trouble before and they wanted my to transfer money for a us pay advance that i've never heard of before in my life! safe to say im changing my number and going to check for idenity fraud!

Received a phone call from someone claiming to be a lawyer claiming a pending lawsuit against me.

I felt threatened  and also fear for the lives of my wife and daughter.

Caled me at my work and I told them not to call me at this business. They told me there would be a legal mess if I didn't call them back.  I hung up before he gave me his name and number.

I received a call from 9413577975 telling me myself and my whole company will arrested.  I told them i turned thier number into the police and they yelled "THERE IS NOTHING THE COPS CAN DO" except arrest me  i guess:) total scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received the same kind of phone call several minutes ago. Claimed they worked for "Mark Jones Legal Associates" from Florida and stated I owed approx $700 in payday loans to their client "American Cash". Could not verify the last four my social but happen to know my name, e-mail address, and employer. I asked if there was any signed documents verifying I took this loan, said it was done through eletronic signature. Then he started to threaten me to pay today or the police will come to my workplace and arrest me. I told him he obviously didn't know how a the judicial system works. I told him they would need to provide me a proof of service, then file for a hearing date, go to trial, and then the authorities would be involved (assuming I lost the case or had a default judgement).

They said that a lawsuit will be filed against me for three different types of allegations and I should pay. I told him to bug off and I'll see them in court. This is defintely a red flag for identity theft.

My son just received a call from this number, and they threaten to pick him up from work and take him to court for his hearing because of a pay day loan he never took out. They had his account and routing number along with his cell phone number. He hung up on the lady, and she called back saying because he hung up he admitted guilt and he was going to get arrested. Thank goodness we seen these post. knowing this is all a scam. He is going down today to close his checking account.

i got a call monday night at work saying there are criminals charges on me and that the police are coming to my work to arrest me on friday because i didnt pay a cash advance back from american cash i told the man who claims his name is travis hall he said i could make payment arrangements but i had to wright a letter and make copies of my cdl,social number, bank card number and fax it to him so after i got off the phone with him i went online to see this american cash loan company there is one but they have no record of me so i went to my bank they somehow got a hold of my bank info and tried to get money out the bank closed my account reopen a new one so i have changes everything i can think of we are all victiums we all stick together threw this im so greatful for this web site and the lady at the bank that helped me IT IS A SCAM!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL

Same as all above luckily I have good friends who know scams andthey let me know right away.  I was really about to pay these douches 800. I'm a single mom of 3 and can't have that over my head. Its all crazy that people get off on this kind of stuff. Get to work and make your own money you scamin f**k heads!!! Later

After harassing me yesterday, they did once again today! I told them to stop calling me and that I have reported them to the BBB FTC and the Attorney General! Austin Black finally got so mad at me that he hung up, I hope that somebody gets these people! They need to be stopped, so scary. I reported them to the police and also called my cell carrier and had them block any calls from their number. Check with your cell carrier and they may be able to black them from you.

Today 1/17/2012 my supervisor called me into their office with a message that the office secretary had received.  I work for the state of Fl. and having a legal issue to the degree of the message could cost me my job!  The secretary stated that "a man called and asked for Jamie T-----ell. He said he is calling from Mark Jones legal associates, and that it was a legal emergency.  He said he was located in Florida.  He said Jamie was a suspect in a legal case.  If she doesn't call him she will be in a legal mess.  I asked him who he was and he responded Calvin Stevens or Stehpens."  At this point I have to print this scam info. before I do loose my job to prove that I am not in any way in a "legal emergency." What can I do to help find and prosacute this person?  The secretary did state that the gentalmen had a foreign accent.

these guys are very creative. just take a minute to think about what they are asking you to do. remember you are smarter then them. 941 357-7975 is totally a fraud. don't fall for the threats.

Caller would not give any information as to what the legal matters were at the time. Hung up.  Called again about one hour later said was a debt with USABank. and he need some personal account information I then hung up.

same situation as all the above posters...SCAM<. They hang up on you as soon as you ask any questions and when you ask what they are sueing you for or what you are going to jail for they hang up. Cant give you any information, just want your info. SCAM BEWARE
and all they say when you ask who they are is a LAW FIRM, I asked what law firm and they couldnt tell me.

I got the same call today from the same #... and they are telling the same things they are telling you people.. i did a phone history report on the number and its a cell number from FL.. i called the bbb and files a complaint..

I just received a phone call from this number, they called this morning with no message.  This afternoon an Indian named "John McClain" (yeah right) called and said either the very second I receive this message my attorney on record or myself was to call him immediately.  He threatened to tell me to call back and do not disregard this message.  He would not say what this was regarding but was extremely nasty and said if I do not call him back "Good luck as the situation unfolds on you."

I also received the exact same message in December from 626 239 3148.  The script was identical and was also threatening.  This is obviously a collection agency but I don't know who, there is no way this is a law firm.  I absolutely will not call them back.  Beware.
