I received a call from this number, but they hung up after about 3 rings and left no message

Calls several times a day leaves no msg

Person claiming to be calling from Telus with a "Free Cellular Phone" offer.  Asked them to send me an information package and they said that it is a "Telephone Only" offer.

This is known fraud or identity theft tactic.

these guys are calling me about two times a day asking me personal info being rude and I asked them to take me of the call list and they said suck this and hung up. blocking the call is not working yet something had to be done.

It could be a spoofed number, or maybe he's got an answering machine with a disconnected message playing. Call Verizon, the phone company who owns the 941-426-xxxx range, at 1-800-VERIZON. Use the prankster's number for the account number. If you get a "the account number you have entered is not valid, please try again" message, then it's got to be spoofed. Try complaining to the FCC and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The FCC's website is http://www.fcc.gov. FDACS's contact is 1-800-HELP-FLA or 1-850-488-2221 from outside of Florida. You can also go to their website at http://www.800helpfla.com.

I keep receiving this even though I am on Do-not-call registry.
Caller identified himself as Sohail.  He made a sales pitch for Dish network.  I said I already have one. Asked me when my contract expires. Then I hung-up.  He did sounded like a person from Pakistan or so.

I have gotten these calls every so many days..No message left and when you try to call..."the number has been disconnected" I am on a do not call list...What is up with this number????

Caller said he was with Dish Net calling for Becky. Advised caller he had the wrong number.  Caller requested to verify number and gave me a complete differnt number than the one he called.  Advised Caller he again had the wrong number and was told be the Caller that they didn't have wrong numbers, they may have wrong names, but not wrong numbers and proceeded with his sales call.  Advised caller he was calling a business line and that I was not interested and I hung up.

getting calls from this # several times a week for almost a month now!!! I do not answer... no message.

i have been getting calls for about a week now from this hollis hurst 941-426-3630 too.  i thought that i would just check where this call was coming from and i am glad this is registered so i can see what i am missing. i will not be answering the phone.

two calls in two days they don't leave a message. the numbers are 1-941-426-3630 and 1-843-821-9610. seems to be dummy numbers.

I received a call from 9144263630.  An Indian guy started talking with alot of background noise.  I hung up and it;s been a week ago.  I think next time he calls, I'm going to do what a couple of people did previously and talk in animal sounds or like Fire Marshall Bill...

got a call from this number and the other one from florida..has to be scam. The guy swears at you and calls you names when you say no then he tells you he will call everyday *itch. Totally a scam trying to sell you something you'll never get. Using Sprint but I'll bet their not Spint.

I got this call early one morning, but didn't answer. There was no message left. I'm registered with do not call. This is ridiculous that I can't block calls like this.

hate to have their phone bill after reading all the comments! They have also called my fax phone line.

Caller Id said North Port Fla.

He called and was silent when I said Hello three times, had called previously from the Summerville SC a few days ago. After he said his name was David, he said something about calling about Sprint. I started talking like I was foreign, lol. He kept saying SPINT, S P R I N T. I just kept jabbering away in foreign or what sounded like it. Heehee, anyways, I finally said don't call again ASSH***. and hung up. Next time, I start talking in animal languages, haha! Yep, I'm crazy, but hey...I'm tired of this crap!

Someone (sounded Indian accent) claiming to be with Sprint. Free phone offer also. Told was on no call list. Said "I don't care". Questioned if was in country, he said no. "North Port, FL".

941-426-3630;  WHO IS MAKING THESE CALLS.  I LIVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY FROM THIS FLORIDA #.  I THOUGHT WE HAD SOME PROTECTION FROM THESE KINDS OF CALLS.

Received call late last night, Jan 16, 2008. Called back and it's disconnected. I was asleep at the time and do not appreciate this. What is the point in having laws?

Got a call from this number today; did not pick up; thought it might be FLA relatives. Looked number up and got here...

No message or anything, but when we call the number back we get the message that the number has been disconnected.

Picked up at 4:50 today, HEAVY breathing with tv in the background i think,

Ans. machine picked up the call. Nobody spoke. Star 69 gave this number.
I had received another call, on my other line, six minutes earlier. So I did*69 for that one, and WHAT a coindidence! Same number.
But, on the earlier call, I was right here and picked it up. THere was a long pause, and a heavily accented voice asked if I speak English. Then he said something about a phone offer, but the accent was so thick I could hardly understand him. Sounded like an overdone imitation of Apu, the Indian shopkeeper on the Simpsons.

we are also getting calls from this number.  hm, now why are we getting so many all of a sudden?
