For a change it was a live person and not a recording. It was a political call, but I cut her off before she could give me the bs. Told her that I'm a grown adult and in the age of the WWW, only a moron doesn't know about the candidates. There is no need for you to be invading peoples lives with all these phone calls. Then, I told her to p iss off, remove my name from the call list, and don't ever call back again. Sorry, but being nice doesn't work. You have to be rude and aggressive with them
Our Gov. should be ashamed of themselves for allowing political calls to be an exception to the do not call list. And, my anger is non-partisan. Both are ignorant for using and abusing these calls! My home is being invaded with 80-90 calls a week from both parties, which is unacceptable.
The next time I register to vote, they're getting a bogus telephone number!

Same as all the other responses. I did not answer nor did I return this call.

Any organization, whether exempt or not, MUST remove your number from their calling list if you ask them to do so. But, I have found when reporting violations to both the state of Florida, or the National DNC, the same companies keep calling. There is no bite behind the DNC bark, and seemingly no consequences for repeat offenders.

There is no violation of the DNC.
Political orgs, charities and news orgs are EXEMPT as they are not telemarketers and the DNC is geared to that and that alone!
I do not agree with that but I am sure the federal courts would overturn the entire law had those folks not been exempted. We have to live with the exemptions.

Uses a GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER.
This is a Republican organization based in FL. As a FAMILY FRIENDLY organization, they violate DO NOT CALL lists and call you around dinner time on a Sunday night. And when you ask them to remove you from their list - they hang up on you.
Hypocrites

Caller ID says this is from Venice, FL. We did not answer the call, they have called 3 times in 3 minutes. I've now unplugged the phone.

Calls every 10 minutes, but just dead air.

The caller ID said it was from "Wireless Caller" so I answered it thinking it was a personal call. The woman on the other end asked if I was "my daughter's name." When I told her that I was her mother, she said she would try again later. I guess she just assumed that my daughter was not there; she didn't even ask that. I tried to get her name, but she hung up before she would tell me. It is freaky and scary that she knew my daughter's name.

Called my home phone number@4:28pm, On the DNC list, and registered with no party affiliation for over 10 years.
I no longer answer any calls from #'s not in my directories, since answering any of call would cost me both roll-over airtime and money. One can thank our Phone companies and gov have setup for this inevitable outcome. They have turned our communications network into nuisance that must be dealt with.
Note: Our teleco's s have been playing both sides.. Creating a demand for Caller-id service and then selling the tools to defeat it. And our lame government who allows this fraud to continue.
Thanks to modern cell phone tech, at least I no longer pay extra to deal with this debacle.

Received a call from this telephone number, 941 451-7767. A polite gentleman asked for a family member by name. He said his name was Trent Woods. Then asked if I would answer his 4 survey questions. I asked whom he represented, was told GOP Florida, so naturally I told him I would vote for our President Obama.

Recieved a call from 941-451-7767 which showed up on caller id as "Wireless Caller" - there was no response on the other end. Received two more call from this number with same result. I'm guessing this is a robo-caller gone awry. Added number to my block list.

Got an unsolicited call from this number which showed up as "Wireless Caller". Man identified himself as calling from the "Mitt Romney" campaign. Asked if I approved of the job Obama is doing. I asked him to take me off his call list. He said he would do that if I answered the question. I told him, No, take me off your call list. He said he had no control over that. I hung up.
