It is a scam.  We called local PD & they have it reported to them several times!  Do not pick up if you are home & do not call back!

Someone from "BLS" was calling my home number for a while looking for someone named Richard, who I had never heard of. I called & explained that. Now today, both my husband and I received calls on our cell phones from this number, again looking for Richard. When I called back, the guy on the phone told me he did "reference checks".  I'm not buying it, but I think it's time to run my credit report & buy some identity theft protection.

They called at 8:00am looking for someone that doesnt have this number. If its a debt collector they are not suppose to call before 10am so quit calling me.

They call my cell a couple of times per week, pops up as 'Marion K Peters'. An automated voice tells me that they are calling to collect a debt and to call them back, then hangs up. Sorry, I don't call automated numbers back with little or no information, and I don't owe anyone...Really annoying!

Received a call from this number asking for someone with the same name as my husband but we live in Wisconisn, not California. I've never lived in Cali & its been almost 30yrs since my hubby did. We check our credit report regularily & have no bad debt. He has a common name but even tho we have said they got the wrong guy, they won't stop calling. Ugh!

They have called my phone twice this week. When you answer a recording comes on and ask for you to please hold line, after a minute of holding the recording comes back, apologized for inconvenience and says "no one is available to take the call"  so it is obviously an Auto Dialer calling people.

Thank you! I just blocked them and filed a complaint to the FTC.

I just received ac all form one of theses debt collectors that immediately went in on me trying to sound like an attorney...refused to tell me what the call was about called me a professional debtor told me to shut up over and over again with people in the background laughing i advised im a bill collector and he just violated all of the FDCPA....and he would be sued for his conduct and harassment...mind you they called from an unknown number so being as detailed with information as i am i went thru my phone and called them directly ...some smart but answered the phone saying yeah we just called looking for rachel humphrey ...are you her thank you kind sir for telling on yourself..i told him what happened he transfered the phone to supervisor i told her what happened and how the FDCPA was not in order during the call she told me i didnt sound very professional at all i informed her my rights as a consumer and the her collector was worth 1k to me plus the bill paid in full by their company and or any other damages ..she hung up....i put my real name here because i know bill collectors read these blogs and i want them to know you called the right one but you did the wrong thing..  

I got a call form computer generated from this numebr 9415850285. I call back, they asked me whether I know someone named Dorothea? I said no, then he hang up the call!

I didn't answer but they left a message asking for me but under my maiden name which I haven't gone by since 2000. I never called them back to find out what they wanted. I figure if they're debt collectors, debt from 14 years ago wouldn't get paid anytime soon.

No matter how many times I told them it was not me they were looking for they kept at me. Man who answered a call back was so rude. Even after I told him I was not who he was looking for he continued to go off on me. All I wanted was my number removed from their list. Terrible people. I feel bad for anyone on their list.

They called looking for a relative of mine saying at first they were a locating service. When I tried to ask questions about who they were he started yellin very loudly over me. I asked him to stop yelling and that I'd like to speak to a manager. He yelled that it was him. I said I wanted to speak to his boss and he said he was the boss. So I asked if he was the owner and he said Bill Gates was the owner and he doubted he'd speak with me. This is obviously a scam. Give them NO information!

I had 3 calls this week, each time an automated message with a callback number.  This company seems to be the typical junk debt buyer, collecting on debts that can't be validated.  I just sent a "Cease and Desist" letter by certified mail to their Bradenton FL address and will see if the calls stop.  If not, BRS will hear from my attorney.

the caller id said marion k peters but google the number and a collection company will come up. I would guess the bill collector thinks this is a way to get through the caller id lock on your phone

They call all the time looking for someone who doesn't have this number but won't quit. I'm sick & tired of their calls & threats. Hopefully we all can get them caught & off our personal phones.

This company is a joke! Bottom feeders that work out of a warehouse (2137 63rd Ave Bradenton, Fl.) and Roger Morris is there fearless leader.  A room full of ex-cons with 400 credit scores trying to educate you on CBR reporting. CAUTION: Do not acknowledge the debt even if you are familiar with it, they have no rights to the debt so any money you send them will line there pockets. Trust me when I say that these losers can not do anything and prey on uneducted consumers, if they contact you file a complaint with the FTC at 888.225.5322.

So strange. Same deal. This company keeps leaving a message at my workplace (a clinical office) for some person I've never heard of. The call is from "B.R.S. & Associates." The owner of BRS is Roger Morse, or at least that's the guy's alias. The company "address" is 2137 63rd Ave East, Bradenton FL. 34203.

I keep getting calls from this number, even though messages that they leave are for someone named Jimmy Smith. I've already told them it's a wrong number (three calls ago). Getting tired of getting these calls. They're actually the only ones who call my phone!
