Yeah....Those damn veterans. What have they ever done for me or this country? i see no reason to contribute old stuff to a bunch of disabled veterans, just so they can repair it, sell it, and feel useful again with dignity. I have even thought of originating calls in order to verify these calls, and maybe make a contribution if I find it to be valid, however I changed my mind because It would require an effort on my behalf. And disabled vets aren't really worth my important time. I think this country and all of us would be far better off without any of these losers who think they are serving us and our country. We don't need any armed services and certainly we don't need the men and women who are serving in them. They just create a liability for all of us because they are always getting shot up or killed. If we would just do away with all of our military, I am positive that all other countries would thank us and do the same thing. Please, do not give to any disabled veterans. By all means, do not make any effort verify or validate if it is in fact the DAV calling so that you won't have to feel obligated for a contribution. Who cares if they are trying to feed and take care of their families and retain some dignity.

Hi - I just got this call, Diane Faulds but didn't answer as I didn't know who it was. I see it is American Veterans (looking at the posts here which is really helpful). I started out saying i like them as they come by and pick up my old junk (some not so junky). However, I realized I have no idea what kind of company they really are - so I looked up this info about which veteran groups are nice and which are naughty. Turns out, they ain't so nice. Check this out:

I'll use to donate the stuff to goodwill or call Habitat Restore to pick items up - guess I'm going back to that!

This person calls me at least 2 times a day starting at exactly 9 am and again between 4-5 pm even on the weekend. No message, just a nuisance call. I would never donate anything through this pest. Probabaly being paid to solicit donations.
