Pat Donnelly also called me after I posted my resume online, I was skeptical about the management position they were offering me so I found this page, then I found Banker's Better Business Bureau information. The local branch of this business is not BBB accredited and their main office has an F rating on the BBB website with 120 complaints in the last three years.

Sorry Pat...............it took me a minute to stop laughing!  You are so full of it.  You obviously have all the time in the world to look at the negative posts about you on the internet.  Your main problem is that you are not honest right from the beginning.  You are purposely vague about the job and interview, and you know you are being decpetive.  Someone who was being honest would not post the negative and defensive (never mind insulting) comments you post.  You put down people for being out of work and call them names.  Who would want to work with you????  You are a joke.

You are so unprofessional that even if your company is half decent to work for, your represnetation of them would turn off 99% of the people.  You should focus on your job and work on your own negativity.  You are obviously an unhappy and insecure person.

pat accept the fact that your company is a scam! i know because you are outsourcing  a call center in the philippines  and let them do the job for bankers life and casualty company i had recieved a call from one of the agents there when i was still residing in North Carolina she was looking for some guy which i never knew of must got the wrong number so i just pretended i was the one. i still remember her name roselle best how can i forget when i just complimented her voice and she started flirting i pretended to go along the way and she told me that she was in the philippines not in NC and she even told me that you guys really are a scam! offering a sales job when in fact its not a real job because you put up your own business and you have to find your own clients plus the payment you have to go through obtaining an insurance license! just dont go wasting other peoples time we got better things to do

Thank you.  You are right.  We cannot go over on the phone, what we cover in an interview.  The company and our Branch is obviously doing something right.  We are number 1 and have very successful employees.  The negativity you read is from those didn't make it and want to blame the company for their failure. Again, we want positive people working here.  Not those that have time to go online and posts negative comments on the internet all day long. I can see why they are not hired.

I recently received a call from Pat too.  I didn't apply at this company either so I knew that I would want to check out their website prior to going for the interview that I had set up.  Soon as I seen the website it reminded me of another company I worked for years ago.  I know I don't want to go back to this kind of work.  But I know if it is anything like the company I was with previously they are probably doing a good thing.  It was not for me and this is why I am not still doing it.  I am sure that for the right person it could be a great thing.  I have seen several people become very successful. I actually still deal with the company as a client.
I can't say for sure how the Bankers company works, but if they are anything like the other company, they will walk you through learning and teach you how to be successful.  But it will take time and you will probably have to pay to get licensed.  Might not see income right away, but if you are the right person this could be for you.  You may want to give it a chance and talk to them.  I wouldn't call it a scam, but I know that they can't explain it over the phone and that is why they try and get you in to explain how the company works.
Pat Donnelly is right too.  They won't want negative people.  I met a lot of very good people when I was with the other company doing the same thing.  Everyone was so positive and very friendly. I stopped doing it as I was moving, and just never got back into it.  I just hope they will not be too pushy and I am wrong about what I wrote here.  I will update at a later date if I get a chance.

Pat - "you doth protest too much"..............I got a call from you also.  You are trying to take advantage of desperate people and should be ashamed of yourself.  A legitimate compnay would not be posting replies on this site in such a negative manner.  Maybe your company could try to run a legitimate business instead of giving people false hope.  I guess you don't mind tricking people in order to collect a paycheck.

You will have to deal with your own karma in the future....................... Good luck.

Obviously the people who are posting on here have more time to go online and post negative comments that look for a job. And reading everything that they see on the internet which is purely subjective information is not very smart.  I would go to the company's website: www.bankers.com and check that out as a source of validty. I am reading all these comments and shaking my head thinking this is why you all are not employed very negative.  We would not hire you.

We are a member of the Better Business Bureau and actually have a very high rating. Your research and statements are false. You should do better research. As far as resumes, you posted yours so obviously must be looking. But then again, after reading your comments, we would not hire you. Too negative. I would recommend to other companies that they really check you out and ask for references. You may not be able to keep a job with that atttitude.

Before you state that something is a "scam".  Why don't you check out the validity? www.bankers.com. Fortune 500 company, since 1879. Obviously you have more time on the internet rather than doing doing a job search with a reputable company.

We are not getting away with anything. People are unemployed.  They need a job. 99% of the people we call are very grateful that we called and say thank you and how much they are looking forward to this awesome opportunity.  They are tired of staying home and being unproductive. But some like you, would rather be on the internet.

You publicly posted your resume on Monster or CareerBuilder.  Once you do that, employers will do a search. The reason why we called, is that obviously you are not working and cannot find a job in your given field. (But obviously have a lot of time to be on the internet) hmmm. We always provide training to indivduals from different industries and have hired nurses before.  They have done quite well in our industry and have thanked us for hiring them ,as they were burnt out in health care.  We will be sure and not call you again.  Do not want negative people.

The only fee that you have to pay is the fee for the license which is $250.00. There are no other fees.  You are getting second and third hand information.  As far as being successful, it is hard work. But it is what YOU put into it.  If you are lazy and don't want to work, obviously you can blame it on the company. Please do not post that there are other fees, when this is not factual information. We have top producers and mid producers.  Again, if you work hard, have fun and make money you will be successful. And we have one of the top 100 training programs in the USA. It is all a mindset and what you put into it.

A great offer to work for the No. 1 Branch in the company our of 160 Branches in the United States and earn at least 60-75K a year. Great opportunity instead of sitting home and collecting unemployment and not working for two-three years at a time. You would need to talk to some of our top producers in the company before you say"not a good opportunity"

Not a scam whatsoever. We are a Fortune 500 Company and have been in business since 1879.  Go to our company website: www.bankers.com. You are very subjective and foolish for believing and reading everything on the internet. We will never call you again. A Bad attitude will not get you hired. Do your research at a legitimate, valid source.

It goes both ways.  You posted your resume on Monster.  Obviously you are unemployed and continue to be unemployed. That means you are on the job market. You should be grateful that our company would even "consider" you for employment. But with your bad attitude we would not even reconsider.

Yes, you do have to get a license.  You should be grateful that our company called you. You are unemployed and obviously looking for a position. It is people like you that give employers a bad name. I would never consider hiring you, because you have a bad attitude and obviously will be out of work for a long time.

Thank you for all of your help.  I did get a call from 941-806-0966 asking for a call back to 941-371-7141 extension 218 from Pat Donnelly.  I set up an interview, and then began researching.  When I found this post I called back and explained that I researched them and found things that weren't so good. She went on about how these posts are subjective and "blah blah blah" and then I asked her point-blank if I had to pay an upfront fee to get licensed before I could begin work.

She said the branch manager would go over all that in the interview.  I thanked her for the opportunity and said I would have to pass.

I too received a call. Keep a log of every job you apply for, and unless someone calls you from your list don't even call back. Im sure there are more scams out there! Companies who have to go out and find people off the internet to work for them obviously are not work working for. Otherwise they wouldn't be looking people would come to them!
