i worked there last year and i admit a lot of the management had the mindset that they ran the whole thing and could treat workers any kind of way, i am due to begin working there again in the next week or two. i have noticed many changes in the 2 hours i spent there speaking with different people. the whole energy has become positive in the office. as for their SCAMS, NOT TRUE!!! many companies advertise with the vacation offer i was called by ron jon surf shop and resorts to sit through a 2 hour presentation and i did recieve a vacation voucher and gift cards. Also if it is such a scam why not go sit through the presentation and if you do not get the guarenteed vacation voucher just sue for false advertisement. stop whining and do something if it seems so horrible for timeshare companies to give you something for your time. high pressure sales???? you have a mind and a voice i am sure you know how to say the word no right??

well anna i worked for global prospects and it has nothing to do with scams it is prepaid vacation packages from 5 star resorts that pay us to advertise for them the vacation is simply a way of advertisement so that you do see how great the resort is they want all to benefit not just the rich... if you get a hang up its is because we are on a dialer on outbound calls and it is all about timing when you say hello we have a delay... i even took several of the vacation offers and had a blast for free so maybe next time they call you should listen or call back :) and we do not work in a residential are it is in a huge bank of america building.. thank you

I recieved a call from this number at 11:18. I didn't answer so they left a message. They didn't say who the call was for, but said that someone in my family won a vacation package because of a sweepstakes entry filled out at a party, it almost sounded like they said "Harry Potter party that will not be named." They didn't where this vacation was to. They also left an 800-number to call. The caller ID did say they call was from Global Prospect. It's just really weird how my experience with this number is so different from everyone else's.

I worked at Global Prospects as well many years ago.  I quit because one of the owners was just a mean person in general.  However, that being said, it really is not a scam it is a timeshare promotions company that only books appointments for people to take the timeshare tour.  They get paid by the timeshare places for each person that shows up for thier appointment.  It is high pressure sales at the timeshare tour but you don't have to buy anything and when it is over you get your certificates for your vacation.  They ask you to tell them your income level because the timeshare place doesn't want to pay for a free vacation for people who don't have the means to purchase the timeshare should they choose to in the tour (after all they are a business).  Like the previous person said, they have automatic dialers which sometimes doesn't alert the caller fast enough that someone has picked up and that is why no one says hello.  There is nothing to worry about though except having the willpower to say no in the high pressure time share tour.

I would like to state the truth..I working at Global Prospects around two years ago...the place is not filth and it is not a scam...If you ask questions you will get the truth from them...I told everyone upfront what it was about...IT IS A TIMESHARE....you go to the stupid timeshare seminar and sit through the tour and then you get vouchers for your vacation...if you do not want them to call simply put your name on the do not call list or ask them to put your name on the do not call list....by law they DO NOT contact you again...it is not that hard. The company is not trying to scam anyone and they are not scumbags...they are responsible for booking the appointment and nothing else....to say anything else is a downright lie...yes there are employees there that are are trying to get paid to not work but that is not the only reason you get the hangups....the phone calls are through an automatic dialer which means the appointment setters do not hear anything except a beep and then they say hello...half of the time they do not hear anything on the other end so they hang up.

This phone number belongs to a company called "Global Prospects", located in Port Charlotte Florida. Essentially, they are a scam, and pretend to represent Festiva Resorts, Colonial Crossings, and Wyndham Alexandria. Basically, it is a telemarketing scam which is designed to get you to purchase a very crappy timeshare. Complaints about these "companies" and their  practices are strewn all over the web on complaints.com and ripoffreport.com

How do I know this, you ask ?

Because I worked for them. I hated the job, btw, because I knew it was a scam. They treat their employees terribly, and use all sorts of illegal/barely legal methods in both their hiring, firing, and calling practices. I'm not doing this as a form of revenge, either- simply posting the truth because I don't want folks to get caught in their scheme.

If you want to call them direct, you can get ahold of them @ (941)613-1870.

My apologies to anyone who I ended up convincing to sign up for their "tour". Please spread the word to people so that they cannot continue to exist as a company.

Global Prospects, You have been exposed now, and people are going to tear you to shreds. I personally took the liberty of contacting people in the areas you target whom I know on a personal level, and have encouraged them to spread the word about your nonsense.

The office/working conditions were filthy. The practices were nothing short of fascist, deceptive, and exploitive. Your offers are scams designed to get people to go to a high pressure sales pitch for something they will inevitably be very upset and frustrated with.

By the way, the company is owned by Eileen and Frank Teague and Martin Apell. It has moved to 23081 Harbor View Road, Port Charlotte Fl 33980 (according to my W-2). Their phone number has not changed as of this date (941)613-1870 however, and they are still running ads in the port charlotte sun newspaper for hiring people at a deceptive wage.

This is a scam, most likely an identity theft scam.  The very lazy sheriff's office in Port Charlotte, FL don't want to do didly about it either.  The company is working out of a residential area: 861 haleybury, port charlotte, florida, 33948 which is in violation of county code.  The company is a pain in the neck and scammers.  They are also harrassing countless innocent people with their hang up calls.  The reason we are all getting hang up calls is that "Global Vacations aka Global Prospect aka Smart Global Vacations are being scammed also!  Their workers pretend nobody answers so the workers don't have to hear the recipient scream at them.  The workers look "busy" to their bosses, and look like they are making many calls but aren't really getting the job done.
What goes around, comes around! Haha!

Do not return the call. "Global Prospect" is a cover for a "fishing" scam. They try to get personal info needed to verify a "free" vacation!

A big THANK YOU to "The Truth"!
I did some checking and your info is spot-on.
Punta Gorda, FL also came up in my search.

So tired of the harassing calls, life is difficult enough without these parasites blowing up your phone 24/7.

It's a shame that scumbags like this roam the earth with decent people.
They prefer to swindle others out of their hard-earned money, than earn an honest dollar for themselves.
Hopefully, by exposing these vile, dregs of society it will help others escape this scam. I feel so sorry for those that are more naive and unsuspecting, like the elderly. These leeches target them for a fast buck.

interested in a timeshare ?  i strongly suggest you call someone else .. anyone else ..  this company is bad.. customer service is non existant.  flat out lies to customers.

good luck to anyone who is forced to deal with them.

Calling the HOME PHONE of the owners of Global Prospects works!  They stopped calling me! It's been a whole week!
BTW: Right before they stopped calling, I got calls from another office of theirs in Jacksonville, FL run by their son, Kamalan.  But calls to the HOME PHONE numbers stopped that FAST.  I guess they don't like when its done to them.
I wonder what religion they are that they believe in "Do onto others what you don't want done unto you."  Gotta wonder!

Just got a all from them asking for a person that used to own my mobile number.  I said you have the wrong number but the rep was rude enough to say "Sir I most definitely have the right number."  I said that's the right number but I have no idea who 'Brittany' is and said I'm not interested before hanging up.

She mentioned something about a free airline ticket.

They keep calling our business number and hanging up.....several times a day.  I keep trying to call them back, but I guess they are too busy scamming people to answer their phone and their voicemail box is full.  I quit answering it, but I will be reporting them!
