These guys are a scam! They call claiming to be google and ask you to press 1 to upgrade your listing! This is HIGHLY ILLEGAL!

Next they don't pay their employee's! This has been Russell Wallaces scam for years! I worked with them when they were Reliable Listings years ago and we were being told that everyone makes at least 2k a month selling a the best advertising service on the net... well who wouldn't want that?! They weren't paying anyone, and going through 2-10 people a week! I even found out that he did this with home mortgages before that market collapsed and he was kicked out of that county! Even the receptionist and customer service people were being scammed into being 1099 employees!!

They have MANY names now, and are starting a multi level marketing type thing hoping to have each new person start a new company name so they won't have to pay employees, and so that all of the bad press for the horrible services get pinned on the poor saps selling the services ruining their good names and reputations whilst not hurting the names of the true scammers like Russ!

Automated call to update my Google 411 profile. After pressing voice que prompts talked to man I was asked if I wanted him to update my profile. I asked for his phone# and he gave the one above. He stated that his company is a subcontractor for Google.

Got a call today and it was a machine telling me that my account was cancelled because of fraud alert and asked me to press '1' to reactivate it. Sure I will give my personal information to an automated phone system...in their dreams!

I just got a call from these people at 949-206-1500 and I want them to knock it off. I am working and it is disruptive!  It also counts against my cell phone minutes!

these guys need to be reported to the national do not call registry i reported them like 10 times already and they still keep calling.

Received a called from a Blac Ladie who indicated the business owner had called her and left her a message asking for them to call us back.  After I indicated I was the business owner, she than said it wasn't true what she 1st indicated but was trying to get in touch with me to offer some BS add with google.

I asked that they take me  of their list and she got very upset and said she would n't do it becuase it wasn't her job.  I told her I'd report her to the FCC and she indicated she did not care.  I hang up because I could not go on wasting my time.

Slight correction.  The domainsbyproxy.com is a valid business set up to serve as a proxy for various domain names.  There are valid reasons and less honorable reasons companies may want to "hide" behind a proxy.  In this case it would appear that yourlocalmerchant.com doesn't want anyone to know who or where they are due to their scam-style business practices.  Reporting the number to the FCC is the best course of action if you are on the do not call list.  Although they are indeed scum by virtue of their telemarketing scams, what they are doing with regard to registration of the domain name is not a violation of the acceptable use for domain name registration.  If they were to spam you with email, you could complain to domainsbyproxy and they could do something about it.  Unfortunately, annoying telemarketing calls is not within the jurisdiction of domainsbyproxy.   If it were, I'm sure they would have been shut down long ago as domainsbyproxy (godaddy.com) is a reputable company who have zero tolerance for scum like these people.

received a call at 5.34 am 9/8/10 on my cell and at 6:32 am on my home phone, saying that my debit card at Greenville national bank has been compromised, I do not bank there. I know it is a scam, would appreciate if something could be done about these people. My husband, daughter, grandson, and I also received the same call on our cell phones on Monday Sept 6 during the day

I have been getting constant calls on my business line from this number and others--ALS 801-850-9336,  Cheyenne WY--307-286-2765, Toll Free Call--866-220-4484,, Lose Weight--701-625-5008, Texas--972-232-0229  Among others.  It is VERY annoying--How do they get your phone # and we are getting very tired of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got a call from "Oklahoma 405-416-1899" as well as a call from 949-206-1500. I will definitely report these # to donotcall.gov.

YLM stands for Your Local Merchant.  Their phone number is 949-206-1500.  If they call you innappropriately, be sure to report them to the government at donotcall.gov

This call came immediately following a call from caller id:"Oklahoma 405-416-1899" accompanied by a recorded message stating Google Search directory wanted to update on-line business info and to press 1 to speak to an agent. I pressed 1, as there were no other options, and asked Kevin?? what the name of his business was (Your Local Merchant??) and what the business license # was...to which he replied "why?" and then asked him to just remove my # from the telemarketing list and I hung up. Less than a  minute later, this # caller id: "YLM 949-206-1500" rang my phone and after I answered, as I do with all incoming calls to my business, a series of beeps/tones ensued and then promptly disonnected. Curious, I called the # back and was greeted by some man. Realizing, at this point the Oklahoma # and YLM #s were connected, I again requested to be removed from the solicitation list, as this was clearly some kind of scam. The man read my phone # to me (I guess he has called id, too) and asked whether or not it was correct. I am aware of the consequences of saying "yes" to anything to these criminals, so I told him "the phone number you just stated is the phone number I'd like to have removed from the solicitation list." Clearly frustrated his baiting wasn't gonna work on me, he laughed and said "Fine." I am certain, somehow, some way, those beeps/ tones are gonna cause this to show up on my phone bill. :(
