Just got a call from this number, I answered and no one said anything. They hung up the phone, and when I called back I got a message for Ryder mortgage. They could have at least said something lol.

This party contacted our bank was able to obtain a FAX copy of our Mortgage Payoff Statement from Citibank - we are upset with this person, at phone number 949 222-0170 the same number the unauthorized and illegally obtained document was sent too as well as Citibank for letting this fraudulent and unauthorized act to occur -  be warned anything dealing with the number 949 22-0170 is of major concern - The number when dialed indicated a voice mail by a person name Donald Brooks ?

Yesterday, I received a call from this number and did not answer it.  I looked it up and found that it is some kind of advertisement.  I really do not appreciate these kind of calls on my cell or land phones.  What can we do about this irritating interruptions?

I got a call from this number on my cell phone (my wife also got one a few minutes earlier on hers - our numbers are sequential supporting the idea that they are automatically dialing sequential numbers).  She didn't see the number and opened her phone but nobody was on the line.

got two calls from this company within 30 mins.  No one answered when i answered my phone.  if anyone knows how to make this company stop please let me know.

I got called 2x from them today.  Thought they were someone else and answered both times but there was no one there either time.  I didn't call it back but came and checked the net.  This is so annoying!!!!!

Received two recorded telemarketing calls on my cell phone.  One on my work line and one on my personal line.  Coworkers also received these same calls and if they had a personal line, they received them on both.

Received a missed call from 949-222-3046 @ 6:57pm PST on 7/11/07.  

I hate these guys, they hide behind their phones thinking no one can touch them, but with the power of the internet they get there a**** nailed to the wall.

I received a call from 949-222-3046 last night on my cell phone. My wife received the same call on her cell phone the day before. I have received calls in the past several months ago from Ryder Mortgage, don't know if it was the same number on caller ID though. At that time I called them back and asked to be removed from their calling list. They assured me they would do that. They obviously have not.

Fill out the FCC complaint form and submit it online. It only takes a couple minutes to do and we can hopfully put an end to these calls.

Got call from this # on my cell phone. When I answered, it was an automated message with the only options (of course at the end of the msg) being 9 to remove from further calls (probably just from them, but then now they know it is a valid number) and 0 to talk to an operator about refinancing. I took a chance since I was ticked and wanted to vent on someone and chose 0. Guess what, all operators were busy and was directed to voicemail. I called the number back and, of course, got voicemail. Like others, the voicemail "box" is full and you can't leave a message. I would sure like to hear some of those messages that were able to get thru. Well, they now know my number is valid and that I'm "interested". I bet my phone will ring off the hook from now on. I assume they will call, but also sell my number as valid. Doopey Me for trying to get a word in! I did report them on the DoNotCall website. I'm better educated at least now.

Received call @ work. Called the 800 number on their website www.rydermortgage.com. James Brooks is at extension 200. Left him a nice long voicemail asking him if he liked listening to a long unwelcome voicemail.

Call received 1326 EDT; left no message.  According to WhitePages.com, 621 Marguerite Ave, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625-2338 is associated with a James Brook (rather than 'Brooks'.) The (949) 929-4143 shows up as his cell #, and a second (possibly home?) # is (949) 717-6759.  Don't know what PBIS is, unless it's some sort of shorthand for a Pacific Bell exchange.

I got a call but did not recognize the number. So I did not reply. My caller ID said PBIS. Therefore I searched the web to see who it might have been.

Have received several calls from this company on my phone at work. The caller is a machine who can't be interrupted. "You're prequalified for a ... mortgage..." I am on both federal and state DO NOT CALL lists, though that may not include my work phone.

I just called James Donald Comer Brooks and he claims he bought these number from a "list". When I called back the first time from MY CELL PHONE, Heidi answered and she hung up on me.  James admitted Heidi works for him so this is the correct information.  

I SUGGEST EVERYONE CALL HIS 800# and ask for James and threaten a law suit!  If someone can get his home number, we should all call him!

My husband and I both received calls on our cell phones notifying us that we had a voice mail message. However, there was no call in "Missed Calls" list on either phone. It was the Mortgage company mentioned above. I can only conclude that the caller has automated dialing systems which dial into one of the Cingular Voice Mail numbers, and then enters a cell phone number. (All Telemarketers have such a list, because all cell phone numbers are automatically on the Do Not Call Registry!) Then just repeat the process. I just asked Cingular to add all their Voice Mail numbers to the Do Not Call Registry. But then, they would have to file the complaints, and that would be difficult to coordinate. The CSR didn't really comprehend the situation, so I encouraged her to pass it on to their legal department.

I too recived calls on both my wife's and my Verizon cell.  I contacted Fannie Mae and they're looking for others who have gotten calls, in anticipation of legal action.  Contact Fannie Mae through their website.

Called me and left no message. Googled the area code, saw it was from OC, and thought it was my brother or sister-in-law about coming up for Father's Day. Returned call and heard a sales pitch so I hung up instantly. Googled entire number this time and found this site.

I answered, and during the recorded mortgage sales pitch that mentioned "Sally Mae" I pressed "0" and was immediately connected to a man who asked, "Would you like to refinance your home today?" I said that this number is a cell phone, and to please take me off his list. . . and he hung up on me so fast I wondered what just happened. So rude!
