I worked for the Lotter Group. The turnover of employees is very high. The leads are very stale. I worked with them for several months and made some very nice sales. I did not get paid for ANY of them and I am a California licensed agent in good standing. Every time I call them to get paid, I get the runaround. Very disreputable company.

These guys call me everyday including frank. He is rude every time he calls. I have tried telling them to stop calling but I guess the wont. I found out they are a bunch of scientologist running scams and one of their head managers is a lady by the name of Sheila. I have also talked to her to tell them to stop but she was rude too!!

Kudos to those of you who took the time to research The Lotter Group and learn that they are a Financial Services organization. Insurance and financial service organizations (New York Life, Mass Mu. Met Life , Edward Jones, Farmers, Sate Farm etc.etc, etc) need lots of NEW independent sales associates all the time. They all have a huge turn-over. These are sales-commission only jobs. There is no such thing as "Pyramid schemes", anymore. They're illegal. Unless one is talking about the pyramids of Egypt or perhaps referring to Ponzi schemes. If anyone is asking you to invest $50,000, it is probably a Ponzi scheme. I am an independent financial advisor and my job is 100% sales. That's how I have chosen to make a living. No more bosses or companies that can fire me at will. Their will. Is a sales job for anyone? Absolutely NOT. Many of us would rather trade our time for a paycheck than deal with the constant rejection required in the field of sales. In the financial services one could make $6,000 in 2-3 hours work, but then go 4-5 weeks making 0. Based on my experience in this industry, there are hundreds of organizations like the Lotter Group. Do your do diligence before hand and then make a decision based on facts, instead of hearsay.

I got a call from the same number because of my resume on Monster about 6 months ago.  I was curious to see what it was about and since I had nothing better to do I went to the interview.
At first there were some other people there that were going to be interviewed and I had to wait before I was able to meet with someone.  I met with the CEO, Lisa. The interview went great!
I've been working with them now for about 5 months, helping people!  I did have to go to some training for about a week but it was worth it.  I learned a lot and even though I am still new and this is a sales position, I make a lot of money!

I got a call about my retirement from them. They gave me a bunch of inaccurate dates for my birthday and workplace. They wanted to meet up with me to give me a guide I get directly from the state! Sounds fishy!

Is there current contact info on anyone who works with/for (not as a recruiter, but actual field/office producing agent) The Lotter Group that could help with understanding this opportunity?

Have a charge on my credit card for $4.95 EAgency.  When I called my bank, they gave me the # 949-253-8500.  I called it and got this # and got a recording that they are closed.  Left message asking #1, who they are and #2 how did they get my credit card #.   I will follow up with a new post on Monday if they call me back.

Yup! Just got a call from Frank today. My resume is posted on Monster but it does not have my email address and he had it. Not sure how he got it. I set up an interview with him, sort of an online meeting where I was going to be given more info regarding the org. After we hung up I called him back to ask how much was the starting salary for this position (to deside if this was even worth my time at all) and he started to act very strange. I can tell he got nervous and did not know what to say. For me that was a red flag and I had a feeling it was going to have something to do with sales...

Received a call regarding a job for the Lotter Group. Is this company for real?

Be careful when dealing with this company. An employee of this company told me that I had to write a check for approximately $40.00 to run a credit check. The employee told me if I passed their requirements (a good credit score, no issues etc that the money would be refunded. I was told on the phone thaat this would be the case regardless of whether or not I took the job. At the time I was applying with four companies total and The Lotter Group was #3 on my list. After I got an offer from my first choice I called to get a refund and nobody called me back. How funny. I should have got in in writing. It's only a few dollars but it is the principle. I would be careful to work with a company that would keep a measley forty bucks over something that they promised would be refunded. I don't have much experience with companies that are commission only but just BEWARE. I can't speak for their company because I didn't work there but I have do have proof that they gave me the number to one of their top reps for a referral. Why would they do that if I didn't pass the credit check?

I don't know anything about being called for a sales position for the Lotter Group. I have a resume available for view on Monster and haven't received a call. However, I did see a post on craigslist for a position that I am interested in. And since I don't send personal info to any anonymous addresses like craigslist, I called the number on the company website, http://lottergroup.com/, and spoke with a person in HR who confirmed the position and provided me with a direct e-mail address and contact name.

I suggest that with any questionable contact or situation, whether it is for a job or service or whatever it may be, that you always contact the company directly to gather the info you need to make an informed decision on whether to act or not. I'm not saying that the people who responded here who claim that they are from the Lotter Group are not from the Lotter Group, however anyone can say whatever and sign anything they want on the internet. And there are far too many people who believe what they see and read is the truth. Unfortunately it is not! As the saying goes, "buyer beware!" Please do your due diligence and check out anything that seems suspicious and protect yourself from on-line predators.

First of all, let me assume you The Lotter Group is not multi-level marketing; we are not a company that you pay to find you a job nor do we require you to sell to your friends and family.  As a sales person myself, I too have been approached by several companies under many different guises so I can understand your concerns or hesitations when you receive a call like ours.

We do use Monster.com as one of our recruiting sources and if you do have a resume posted there, we may come across it in one of our searches.  We also utilize other candidate search methods such as job fairs, the EDD to name a few.  If we did call you, it is because you have your resume out there somewhere; we just don't call random people to interview.

Our CEO Lisa Brumfield did review resumes and also met with interested candidates but I have taken over those responsibilities so that she can focus on large projects that need her attention.  While other companies are scaling back, we are looking to add qualified individuals to our team to fill immediate  needs we have in several areas throughout California.

For anyone who comes across this site and has any questions, please feel free to contact me at my office (800)969-6051 x123.

Respectfully,
Marc Drew

The Lotter Group

Same message this morning at 8:43 am from 949-253-8500.  Missy or Misty left me the same voicemail for a "possible position we may have available."  She said that her CEO (Lisa Brunfield?) reviewed my resume and asked me to call her back at 800-969-6051 ext. 106.  My resume has absolutely no objective to work in a financial field nor in sales.  They must be desperate or it's a recruiting scheme.

I recived a phone call today same exact story. Lisa, the  CEO wants to meet with me regarding a position in my area.   Same return number ext. 106 (Misty).  I will not be returning the call. I am a licensed agent with the state of CA but, have no desire to get into pyramid schemes.   Thanks everyone for the input.  I would like to hear from people who actually did interview what their experiences were like.

I just received a vmail from Mary McNeilli (sp?) saying she reviewed my resume on Monster.com, but I didn't post one "visible" to employers for the very reason that I don't want employers calling me.  Calls are usually for sales jobs.  I am not in the Financial Services industry, so I am not qualified for a position a position there, and I cannot imagine learning enough to give sound advice! I am not returning call.

How did your interveiw work out?  When I interveiwed with them they want me to attend a 4 day training in Newport beach at my expense. OK, they said they would provide me with leads to school teachers for retirement planning using annuities.

I received a call today from Frank McDermott. The call back number is the same with ext 157. I set up an appointment in Sacramento  next week with Lisa. I am concerned now because Frank said she is the CEO. I advised him that I was not interested in a sales position. He said they have several types of positions, but he only told me about the sales position. He said the CEO would discuss other positions with me during the interview.

I appreciate the message from the employee at the Lotter Group, but I will not attend the interview. If they want to remove the blanket of suspision, they need to operate with more transparancy.

I just received the same call this morning, from Mary Mckeely/McGeely asking me to call (800) 969-6051 ext 107.  I decided to look up info on the company before calling her back.

She said she found my resume on Monster.com and that her CEO (Lisa Broomfield) wanted to speak with me next week.

I looked up the Lotter Group, yes it is a financial services company in Newport Beach.  NO, Lisa Broomfield is NOT the CEO....red flag right there.

FYI--I work for the Lotter Group--No one who works with us is asked to recruit, give names of friends and family, or pay any money to us.  Come for an interview and you will have this verified.  We are not like the WFGs and Primericas and other MLMs of the world who give financial services a bad name--recruiting any warm body to just see who sticks.  We are actually quite picky about who we bring on board--averages about 1 in 30 that we meet with. AND we do find your resumes on Monster and review them before calling.  BTW the "boiler room" is 4 people" half of which are setting appointments for our sales associates to help them be successful.  Don't assume everyone is a crook and be careful who you accuse of being a pyramid scheme. There are some good honest groups out there.

I received a call from  Mary McKinley stating she found my resume on Monster.com......hhhmmmm She said her manager was very interested in speaking with me about a position they were offering within the company. She gave me her number 1-800-969-6051 ext.107. Si I called and spoke to her and I basically I read between the lines. The company is in Newport, Ca and it is a pyramid scheme. I would not get compinsated until I recruit other people, friends, family, etc. I told her thanks but no thanks!
