got a card in the mail for $500 free gas at Mobile, Sheel and Exxon!.  No company name on the Card.  My Husband Called the # and said OK sounds like a good deal.  he went to get the CC# I said what are you doing.  He was going to give them the # I said no, we don't do that. We told the man w/the we would research it and call back.  He hung up.  Before he Hung UP he told the Name of the co. Was U.S.A. Genefits out of Phoenix, AZ, I don't think so.  Mobil, Shell and Exxon need to get onthe wagon and stop this SCAM before it reuins them. If it's to good to be Free it's not free.

I just received another call.  This time I mouthed off.  And, I'm okay with that.  Because:  by law,   they must tell you if this call is recorded or monitored.  <ahem>...<most calls are NOT recorded....><so....I always ask:  "IS THIS Call being recorded?"  If, they keep responding: it may.....just insist again if it IS being recorded.  If they don't tell you for certain, that means they are NOT.  The law says the MUST tell you if a call IS recorded for them to use it in court.  If they don't.  Have fun and vent your real feelings.  These people are breaking the law.  They have no recourse against you.

They tell you they are sending you a free gas card and ask for your credit card info.  They told me they were American Auto Benefits calling from Phoenix, AZ but the number is a landline based in CA.  Seems like a scam to me.

i have gotten calls repeatedly from 949 256 9139....i answered the first one cause i didnt know who it was...they said the same thing as most people said here, they wanted to give me $500 cash bla bla bla...didn't ask for a cc because i didnt let them get that far, i cut him off and said please dont call me again im not interested please take me off whatever list im on. and he said ok and i said have a good day and hung up....since then *yesterday at like 2pm, ive gotten at least 20 calls from them...some as early as 3am!!! :( NOT COOL!! soo if anyone knows of any way to block a phone number from a verizon cell phone PLEASE TELL ME!! ashleya2566@yahoo.com thanks!

I've had three calls from this number in the last 2 hours

this dude called my friend's cellphone and she couldn't understand what he was saying so she handed her phone to me and i heard gas "cod" which must mean gas card...i yelled at him to go away and then my friend screamed "what the hell????" because she thought it was somebody important...apparently she was wrong.

I received SEVEN calls yesterday in less than 4 hours...i only answered the last 3.  it was an Indian guy talking about a gas card.  i interupted him the first time and was polite "im not interested thank you, please remove me from your calling list"
EXACTLY 20 minutes later, the same guy called me back and i was very sarcastic with him....the 3rd call (about 40 minutes later) I screamed at him and was far from nice.  I contacted the Consumer Protection Agency and filed a complaint against the number.  
Today my cell was ringing again, I looked and it was THE SAME NUMBER, I answered and did not give him a chance to start..I let off on him.  And as I was yelling, he proceeded to go through with his sales pitch.  

My service is through Verizon Wireless.  I went into one of their stores, told them about it.  If you have Verizon you can go on their website, click the "safeguards" option and then select the tab to block the number.  We are allowed up to 5 blocked numbers per phone without charge :)  good luck!!!!

I forgot to mention, while all this was going on...I am on the "do not call" list..but what does a company in India care about that? it is not like I can call the local police and have them arrested for harrassment lol

I got sick of their harrassment too!  I went into verizon....

If you log into the verizon website...there is a spot that you can click on that says "safeguards"...inside there, there will be a tab to select for blocking numbers..verizon customers are allowed up to 5 numbers to be blocked per phone :)

if I didnt explain that well, just type in "block a phone number" in verizon's homepage search bar and they will give you directions to walk you through it

These people (Indian) called me a few times today while I was out shopping. They offered me a $500. shopping card for food on the first call. After I hung up they called back almost immediately offering a $200. gas card. Yet again I hung up saying don't call me. After I got home I did some research on this number. They are scammers just trying to get your cc info. As I'm searching more info about this bogus company the phone rang again, it was them. I decided to have some fun and kept them on the phone for a good 25mins. before I had enough. At that point I started asking for their home phone number so I could call them later on to ask them for their cc info and such. Anyway, I don't think they will be calling me again. I had the old lady cracking up while I had them on speaker phone. I was acting dumb like they had me but guess what, they didn't.

This company has called me several times in the past week offering me $200 gas cards.  I continuosly tell them to remove me from the call list.  The scary part is that they have my home address that they say they have obtained from a customer of theirs that I have dealt with in the past.  The # they call me at  is a work cell phone and is not regestered in my name and I have never given it out on any web site.  I have told them it is a business phone and to stop calling we will see how that works out.

I received two calls from this number today and hung up both times.  First it was for a $200 gas card and then a $3500 Walmart Card because of a family member but of course needed payment information to cover the shipping and handling charges.  Needless to say I did not give it.  They did have my address and phone number, which creeps me out.  DAMN SCAM!!!

I just spent 30 minutes screwing with these guys. They said it was safe to give them my credit card number because the 16-digit number is just an ID number and not an account they could charge.

I kept giving them fake credit card numbers that were not 16 digits long. At one point the guy said" repeat back to me 4, 7, 9." So I kept repeating "479,479,479,479" for about a minute. The guy finally got upset and started saying some very foul things, but his broken English made them funny.

He even threatened to come to my house at the fake address I gave him, and do some very mean things. I then explained to him exactly what would happen if he came to my house.

If they call you back, just start saying "four seven nine."

I got a call from someone who said I won a $200 gas voucher. He said that all I needed to do is pay for shipping and handling of $3.99 or something. Then he said I could just use a card that at least had one dollar. He then finally said all he needed was to verify my expiration date on one of my cards and some ID number. I then just asked him to put me on a do not call list. He did not want to hang up kept asking me what was wrong. Ask my co-workers about who work for a customer service department. They all agreed it was a scam because nothing in the world is free. The guy had a Indian accent not to be raciest or anything.

they have called me three times in the last two days and eachtime i just sat and insulted the guy till he hung up on me. the last one said he was going to pray for God to punish me!  XD (after i told him to cry to allah) :P

I received 2 calls today from 949-256-9139. I answered the first call and declined the offer. A different person called back hours later and I told him I declined. Both times they hung up so fast which seemed to rude to be a legit business. SCAM, don't fall for it..Next time they call I'm going to answer the phone "Depart of Homeland Security, how can I assist you? ".....idiots, They say "You don't have to pay shipping and handling today" But still ask for your credit card info. $400 voucher just randomly. Whose give away money like that in this economy...jerks

I got about 5 phone calls in one day.  The person could barely speak English, was very rude, and told me I had won a $250 grocery card.  Then hung up on me.  I called back, got a message that said "thank you for calling back, press 1 to remove your number from our list.".  I had done this the first time, but they proceeded to keep calling.

they called for almost everyday for week and offer me a gas gift card of 200 $. they said they are based in AZ. finally ask for credit card number. and experition date. what a sacm....Beware.

Haha, I've totally been getting frequent calls from this number for the past two months.  I never answered this because the area code was from California and I thought it was a telemarketer and wanted to avoid that.  I'm glad I looked it up because it turns out it's a big scam.  They are incredibly annoying because they would call almost four times a day!  They are less frequent now but man it makes me want to answer it and tell them to stop calling me because it gets really old.

I an Indian and hence can confirmly say that their accent is Indian. I too have received the call from them.. introducing themselves with American names.. and that my name was picked in a purchase i have made using my plastic card.. incidentally I just received the card and not yet got it activated.

Your tracking program, did it inform you as to where the call was placed from and all that? I want very much to be removed from that call list and to know exactly how they even got my number in the first place. I would appreciate your help and all information you have. I quite intend to report them.

I have gotten calls from this number before, they call and stop for awhile and then start calling again. I received on while I was in church tonight. Thank goodness I had my ringer off and didn't answer.
