Another f***ing car insurance expiring message......Something has to be done buy the Government. Noone should have the use of a phone without an identity attached to it. I too got the call about my car's warranty about to expire...which is hilarious because my car has 233,000 miles on it.  I didn't realize they gave out 250,000 mile warranties, lol.  I called the number right back and it gave me an option to no longer get that message.

I just received this call as well. It was concerning the factory warranty going out on my vehicle (it's been out long time ago!) In an effort to try to stop these calls, I called the number back and there was an option in the recording to stop all calls and to be taken off of their list to Press 1. I pressed it with the quickness! Hopefully this resolved the issue.

I am curious how many other people are getting a call from this number on their cell phones. My cell number is only 3 months old. I have not signed up for anything and given out this number to anyone except friends. The only place that could have sold my number is facebook when I updated my page...

Recieved cal again from 818-870-9117, called my gf with number 916-219-8163.
Followed instructions, lady on phone was unprofesional and let me know my warranty was going to expire,  I asked which vehicle it was, she said for my privacy she is not given that information, only my number. I responded that my privacy doens't matter to her, she has an automated computer dialing all of alberta and the gig is up, she relied that she will add my number to the "DNC list".......they've been anouncing this on the radio all day.

They called my cell (Telus). I'm in Calgary.

I got a call from this # today, is it just a scam to get your banking info or does it also rack up your phone bill if you answer it? i am in northern alberta Rogers network

Your friendly government in Ottawa is selling your phone number from the DNC list. Complaining to Rogers, Bell or Telus is a waste of time, they can't do anything about it. Make your complaints to your Member of Parliament - they're the idiots that passed that piece of legislation they feel is tight as a drum but is really as tight as a seive and to the CRTC - they're the ones selling your phone numbers.

For further reading see Latest News, on the right of the screen, for the article "Canada No-call Registry Has Serious Loophole". Go to the Global website to see if the news report showing how easy it is to obtain copies of the DNC list is still there.

Better get used to receiving these calls because dozens will be coming courtesy of your local MP. Start using this site to investigate all the numbers you find on your call display and you will be quite amazed. Don't answer and don't return calls because you can't get off their list. If you answer or return a call, your number has more value and is resold to others which of course means more calls.

Best way to reduce the number of calls is get a new number and don't register it on the DNC list.

i had a message in my answering machine with the same storie... my car insurance will be expired soon... yep right as if that will happen.

I just got a call from the same number and i live in Alberta , they were offering us Extended warrenty for our car and talked to my  husband first. as soon as i got the phone and asked him what this was and what he wanted because i am the prim owner of the car he just hung up. My husband however had given him his name and postal code... should we be worried ??

I got called today they said my warranty expired on my car.I said thats impossible car on two yrs old.I wanted to know who was calling they would only give me info if i would do the same.I found out they are using the name warranty depot.I am in Alberta with rogers.

The contacted me a 'a warranty on a recently purchased car' but the last car I purchased was several years ago and they could not tell me which car it was for and did not know my name.  If this was legit they should have called my home phone and not my cell phone.  I was nice to the telemarketer the entire call but when I asked what company I was calling she hung up on me.

I too recieved this call, i'm in Edmonton Ab though. Doesn't seem to matter what carrier. Unfortunatly I called back, gives you a message saying press 1 if you would like to be put on the DNC list, pushed 1 and hung up. Will see what happens later.

This is a complete scam.  We got a call from our dealership - they called all of their customers to let them know about this.  Our warranty is good for another 3 years - they just want your credit card #

call about once a week about my car war. except my car is 20 years old, get a grip there isnt one! telus is my provider and im in edmonton

wowsers I bought a car from Cali n thought it had something to do wit warr. juz thought id google the #. Am i ever glad i did. I live in b.c. using bell cell phone. The bizarre thing is my warranty juz ran out in Jan. LOL this site saved me thanx guys.

Just had a call on my cell. I'm with Telus in Calgary. Didn't answer.  Will report to Telus.

They called today,I didn't answer, as I don't want to incur LD charges.I too, signed up for the DNC recently, and have never had telemarketers call my cell phone.

I've been getting calls from this number and other American numbers for a month or two now, which, I find surprising given I had this number, unlisted for 1.5 years and never once had a call. I live in Alberta and I go through telus, so somewhere someone sold phone numbers. :/ It's really annoying because they *always* call during work hours and never leave a message.

Before I had someone calling and whenever I picked up they hung up the line, I finally got through to them and they said I won some trip or whatever and I told them no thank you and started inquiring about how they got my private, unlisted number. They hung up the phone on me and I did not receive another call.

Just called I am in Alberta I actually took the call and said I don't even own a veicle and the female said Oh well have a nice day and said she had my # from a car company and I said well i have your # and this is Fraud and she said I am sure it is miss have yourself A great day and I said I know I will when I report you and she hung up///

She was very Unprofessional when she called thats how you can tell
