My Verizon is paid up to date.... bill is not due til July 5th!  ANNOYING!!!!!!

That is NOT verizon financial services..which I have confirmed three times with Verzon. DO not take their calls and report them to the DNC and also file a complaint with verizon's fraud department. !!!! Verizon is supposedly looking into these numbers now but unless all verizon clients do NOT file complaints they won't get it done

I just got a call from this number and they said they were from Verizion. I just got this phone number a week ago and I have NEVER had a phone through this company ever so I don't even know how they got my name. Kinda creapy. They also called me within minuets apart from each other. I highly doubt this is legit considering Verizion should not be calling me since I never went through them for any services.

Hello! You morons claiming that it's a scam and not Verizon...then how come when they called me to say I was past due, and then I setup a payment, then that payment was applied to my Verizon account. Whoa! Imagine that. What I scam that I actually paid them and it got applied to my account. Idiots!

Just wanted to let you know that I got a call from this number this morning...which is why I searched the number on the internet and found this page.  I did not recognize the number on my cell phone so I did not answer.  Upon reviewing the voicemail that had been left, I can determine it is a Verizon number.  Last week I had to call Verizon regarding an issue with my account (not a billing or payment issue), after a somewhat lengthy conversation the representative said she needed to do a little research and would call me back.  This is the number she called from.

I just got off the phone with Verizon then I missed a call from this number. I called it back and it said Welcome to Verizon Wireless customer survey. Hope this helps!

This number, 049-286-3311, is a Verizon Financial Collection number, I just got off the phone with a Verizon Customer Service Rep, after I tried to block calls from the above number and couldn't block it, so I call *611/Verizon and was told that the number is for their Financial Office, because their "to do list" this morning showed I was owing my last month payment, but it was paid and they hadn't gotten the info yet...so if you get calls from this number it is to talk with you about a payment due, even if you already paid it.....

This number is now for my 12 year old son.  I thought this may have been a call for me, but he does not answer calls he does not know. So we get several calls A DAY and no voice mail.

They said that I owed a pass due balance on my account????  No balance is due the account is paid in full billing cycle CLEAR for this month?????

I keep getting calls from this number.  I tried blocking the number on Verizon and it says I can't block the number.  So, I'm figuring it does have something to do with Verizon.

I don't think you're right... they just called me.  There are two reasons I think you're wrong.
Firstly, I'll admit that I do have a Verizon phone, but they did not call that number--they called the Google voice number I have associated with the Verizon number.    How could Verizon know my Google voice number, and why would they call that versus the cell phone's actual number?
Secondly, you state that this is a collection call.  I just happened to get my bill in the mail yesterday, and I currently have nearly $200 in CREDIT on my bill due to my paranoia over being late on a bill-- I'm usually paid over a month in advance.
So why would a collection agency call me on a number not associated with my account, on an account that's not remotely overdue? And more importantly, why don't they leave a voice mail indicating who they are?  If they're legit, that shouldn't be too hard to do.

OK, so I fell behind a month on my Verizon wireless bill but I'm all caught up now. But now every time my bill is due, I get these annoying phone calls from Verizon. As soon as my contract is up, I going to switch carriers. I've had it with this bullsh--t!

I do NOT answer ph #s I DO NOT recognize for this simple reason. this has been happening for awhile and the # changes periodically. never ever leaving a message either...and I NEVER call it back.. itsa scam if theyre asking for your acct #.. I can see by many posts that verizon says its NOT a legit verizon #.........go figure and no real big suprise.... ea time I google one of these #s, this kind of thing pops up...Just hope no one is giving out their acct number.......

Several calls from this number 949-286-3311 ...no message left and I do not pick up unidentified calls...reading the posts about this number helps a lot. Thank YOU.

For the past six months, every month around the time my bill is mailed out, my son starts getting these calls about 5 times a day. It might be coincidental because my bill is not late and there is no reason why I would be on any late-payment list.  I have called Verizon every month for the past 6 months (that's 6 times) to have the calls directed to my line, but that doesn't work.

I just got off the phone with Verizon about this (again).  This time I asked them to look up this specific number, and they couldn't find it. They said they cannot verify that it is a Verizon collection service.  The number does not show up on their list. Verizon CAN and DID block that specific number from my sons phone (so they say), good until September.  We'll see if that works.

BTW, this issue has been going on since 2007.  I hardly think the FTC would let a scammer get away with this for that long, so one must conclude that it is some sort of legit collection agency calling on behalf of Verizon. However, DO NOT put your personal information in.  Just dial 611 and have the number blocked via Verizon's billing department.  Every time I call about this, I am quite frustrated and abrupt.  Every time, Verizon people are kind and calming and helpful.  When you call, don't punish the Verizon workers for a bad business set up. They are just trying to make a paycheck, like you and me.

I believe that Verizon has something to do with it because I tried to block the number, Verizon stated that the number ( 949-286-3311 ) cannot be block.

I recievec a call and they said they were from Verizon Wireless and that I needed to pay my bill. Guess what...? They are right! I just don't like paying verizon because we have the highest bills and yet still do not have 4 g in my area, and still cannot use your internet while talking on the phone, and every month I have to call into verizon to tell them to stop charging me for slacker radio. Verizon definantly needs to lower their prices. At&t sure is looking like a better company.
