I didn't agree to any survey and yet the same thing happened to me.  I was STILL on the phone with Verizon support when this call came through!  I had to throw it out rather than put Verizon on hold.

Survey
It is a 3rd party contracted by Verizon to do a survey. I just had spoken to Verizon about some issues and about an hour later I received the call stating to call 866-274-0089. I called and took the survey and it took under 2 minutes. The only reason I took the survey was because Tammy (Verizon rep.) was VERY helpful in resolving the problems I had and Verizon needed to know that they had a VERY GOOD employee who is courteous and professional.

I needed tech support from Verizon & dialed the 800 number...got excellent assistance from Erica at the "V"...(thanks Erica)...Then about 10-15 mins later, this call came thru.   I do NOT take calls from unknown callers, looked it up on BING to read it was a customer satisfaction survey call.   Interesting...

Just got a call from this number on my cell, while I was on the phone with Verizon for an upgrade.  I knew it wasn't from Verizon because their calls are from 866 or 877 exchange.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  If it is really important, they can leave me a VM.

Dear Carole ..
800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so. For a cell phone, google your cell and free apps if it doesn't have call blocking on it already.

Charities, Political and some survey's are not covered by the DNC. The DNC is for telemarketers only.

Report your callers here:

It's called Murphys Law...you are most likley reaching a third party vendor of verizon wireless... don't let anyone convince you this is not true as I was once one of those third party vendors...I can tell you the reason you might be tranferred many times in one call... if you reach a third party vendor they do not have the tools a direct site has...third party vendors are limited as to what they have access to...that tends to frustrate the customer as well as the rep trying to help you...they are not as well trained as the direct sites...for this reason if you decide to take the survey keep that in mind...reps are only as good as they are trained and third party training is something to be desired...please remember when they say you can rate the reps performance from 1 to 10 that is a complete lie...anything under an 8 is a fail for the rep who has been poorly trained...when the question asked how likely would it be that you would recommend verizon to friends or family anything under an 8 also a fail for the rep NOT the company...very misleading questions that could cost someone thier job...so bottom line third party vendors are poorly trained no fault of thier own... reps that work for verizon can only follow policy and verizon has some very strict policies so don't forget this when you get those annoying surveys...something I think should be banned!!!.

Survey
Phone Survey from Verizon Wireless.  I have been a customer of Verizon Wireless for over 15 years.  The phone service has been good.  My problem is not with the phone service, it's with the service representatives.  The 1st person to cause my, 5 months of grief was Jamie at the Layton, Utah store who misrepresented my bill increase when I purchased a MiFi, which should have increase my bill $20, and only $20 after confirming with her multiple times.  Well try $60!  That's how much the increase ended up being.  Then after spending over 4 hours with Andy Rankin, I had to research and was given his direct number 480-496-7775, to call him back.  He was unavailable so I left a message to ask that he return my call.  He returned my call alright, when I told him I would be unavailable at that time!  He left me a message and said that he was calling during the time I designated in my message that I would be available and for further assistance, call customer service. Verizon's so called customer service manager,  Andy Rankin, almost lost a a long time customer for them. I ended up paying $160 to get out of the 2 year contract for the MiFi.  We'll see what my next bill looks like and what they have added to my plan without my knowledge. Last bill they added 'The Cloud" , didn't ask for it.

Survey
The fools can't even send a statement without charging you, then they want you to take a survey! They are just too big for their britches.....
I went to pay my monthly Verizon bill  and realized I hadn't received one, so I called, as I live in a rural area, and our postal service isn't too keen. They now service four Post Offices in one, and trust me...mail service is horrible! Anyway, when I called Verizon and explained I received no statement, the young man said...."There will be a $5.00 charge on your bill.  I gasped!  He said, well, Sue, I'll waiver it this time!
How nice.... Now they want to drive me nuts with their survey's. I think it's time someone else moved into the market in rural Virginia.  HELP!

The DNC list is a list of numbers (yours and mine) that do not want to receive telemarketing calls.

Legitimate surveys are exempt.

Non-profits, legitimate and non-legitimate, are exempt. [Perfect reason why the definition of a charity/non-profit needs to be changed.

Political calls are exempt. The REAL failure of the DNC list.

Legitimate companies will abide by the list. Scammers will not. Any call you get, by defination, is a scam and should not be answered.

For that matter, surveys, non-profits, and political calls should not be answered.

I just got a call from this number.  If Verizon were calling, I'm sure that the caller ID would say so.  (Seems like some posters here think that Verizon is doing secret surveys or something) It's probably not Verizon calling.  I use TracFone, and I NEVER answer unidentified calls.
