I attempted to report the number 949-310-6232 b/c they sent a text claiming I won $100.  I followed the instructions above and went to the donotcall.gov site (complaint portion).  I filled out the info but it wouldn't work b/c the website said the number is not registered.  Also, they didn't have an option for complaining about texts.  Instead they said, "you must register this number first."  Obviously I'm not going to register it...it's not mine.  They need to update the do not call website.  I haven't seen a change in years.

There is a "remove me" option at the bottom of the web page. I tried it, it certainly can't hurt anything, they already have my number...

Text message received 10/05/2010...ditto Martha Geyer response...very annoying since I am registered on the DO NOT CALL registry...

Who the heck is this and how did they get my number. I am registered on the National Do Not Call List. Is this because it "technically" does not count as a call?

My wifes cell phone got a text message today from this number. We are on the DO NOT CALL and DO NOT TEXT list. I filed a complaint to the governments- do not call/do not text- on this person who is doing this. This number comes from california. I called it back and the voice mail picked up but then said that the mail box was full, FIGURES!!!! I will personally proceed to file a law suit against this person as here in South Carolina the Attorney General WILL sue them for violating the law.

Got a text from this unknown/uninvited number, saying, "Up to $1000 wired to your account.  Fast, secure, easy apps.  Flexable [sic] payments.  www.fundsrelief.com  Let us help you today.  STOP to opt out."  

I did not do the "STOP" thing because lord knows what they'd do with my number once they saw someone live was at the other end of it.

Site referals for this number are either for fundsdog.com or fundsrelief.com  DO NOT REPLY to the texts for ANY reason.  Keep reading!!
