I only received one call from them and called back.  Asked them to remove my number (which is our business line) and the guy was decent enough but his thick accent sounded Indian and I knew he was not located nor in this country.  I proceeded to ask for the company name, he tells me he cannot tell me that information.  Seriously???  I hung up on him after saying if he called me again the FCC would hunt him down and treat him like the dirty dog that he was.  LOL.  So don't trust this company and continue to report their numbers to the FCC.  

(949) 381-0821 is a scam caller from India but pretending to calling from the USA.

They played me some nice Indian music, Ravi Shankar I think, with Gandhi on vocals. A number 1 hit if ever I heard one!

Anyway, because I answered my phone I burnt my curry, so tonight all I have is my naan bread.  That's pretty depressing but I cheered by the fact these people are as thick as Bengal tiger poo - and smell like it too - and that they have the tiniest willies known to woman.  I should know!

If you're bored, keep them on the line as long as possible.  Watch tv, surf the internet, but keep saying "tell me more, how much can I spend", and drag out the call.  Hanging up just puts them on to the next cold call, instead, make the a***oles inefficient, take some joy in ruining their day.  

I once had a CC company call me about a tenant of mine who owed them money, and would call back continuously unless I "put him on the phone".  So I just laughed and asked what he thought about the superbowl, if there were any schools he recommended in Ottawa, etc, etc.  They stopped bothering me.

Tracie, if you do not recognize the number or it is our of your error.  99% of the time it is a scammer.  Do not answer it.
If it is important they will leave a message. and you can call back.  If you answer it tells them that it is a good number and they resale your number to other people looking for numbers.  I cannot believe it is worth the trouble they use call so many people who HATE THEM.  
I sometimes answer these call and scream into the phone. ..."the job is done, there is blood everywhere, run, run run"  and I hang up.  Let them stew on that for a while.  ha.

I've been getting a lot of these calls and have stopped answering any with area codes or fishy looking numbers.  It's actually easy to spot a fake number and these morons haven't figured that out.  Anyway, until I stopped answering, the p*** accents were the first giveaway and the incomprehensible pronunciation and poor connections would be a great tip that this business is not legitimate nor one that could in a million years help me with my business.  Here is a tip to these scammers.  One, employ white people who have a working knowledge of English and have good pronunciation.  Two, get a real phone number that also displays a business name.  You can change it every two hours so you can't be found but no one trusts a phone call from a P*** or a fake phone number.  In any case, good luck finding a moron to fall for your scam anyway.  What you don't understand is that if I want the service, I will use Google to find a legit one.  I don't use any business or service that cold calls me.  That is so 1970.

I am from India and very well understand the accent ! these people  have called me about three times very annoying and at odd business hours ! hope someone can put an end to such bogus attempts to sell something from Google . Google never calls on any land line number to sell stuff !

Somewhere in all these notes you'll find a post by someone who said pretty much what you did. The response was so just buy our service and we'll stop calling. Why they think that crap will get them business is beyond me, but we get at least one call per day from these non-Google AdWords assh****s, often 2 or 3. They have a lot of different numbers. Impossible to block them all. Aggravating as hell.

i am being harressed by this number from some guy with heavy Indian accent, i keep telling him I am not interested in what he is selling and to please remove my number at this point from anything he has so there is no more calls and I swear he is just trying to annoy me at this point because he calls back 20 min later with the same thing and giggles when i say to stop.  What an annoying prick, has nothing better to do then run up my minutes and waist precious time.  Really?  what can we do, i can't seem to block him.

I placed my business ad on google.ca search about two weeks ago and now it is up and running for about 195.00 per month

I got a call today from (949) 381-0821 on my cell phone - actually I got 4 calls in total from the same number within a space of 20mins. I couldn't get to the 1st call early enough but got to the 2nd call 4mins later. While on that call, 2 other calls from the same number came in but when I told the heavy accented Indian fellow I was speaking to about the calls from his "office", he said to ignore them. He rushed through his company name and for the life of me, even when I asked him to repeat it, I couldn't make out what he said. He asked for my name and "email ID" and I refused but relented and said call me "John". Then he passed me to a supervisor who spoke very good and understandable English with less of an Indian accent who informed me that a specialist was now available to "attend" to me. So, David comes on the phone without an Indian accent because he most probably grew up in North America - but is obviously Indian and proceeds to tell me about getting my business on the front page of Google - wouldn't I like more business?

Of course I said I would but asked what his company name was and he said Getting Front Page (http://www.gettingfrontpage.com/) which I googled and it WASN'T EVEN on the front page of Google! I told him i was googling his company and I couldn't find it on the front page of Google so he asked that I type the URL directly, which I did but promptly told him I wasn't interested in buying anything if he was trying to sell me anything, so let's not bother wasting each other's time - because I had just subscribed to 411.ca in Canada to take care of Google listing and advertising on my behalf and was waiting to see how that worked out over a 3month period. I also asked him why his company uses callers with heavy, unintelligible Indian accents to making marketing calls because it was a complete turn-off and he said he didn't know as he wasn't in charge of that.

After going on a bit, I told him I had another call coming in as I am usually very busy early in the day and he asked for a better time to call which I said later in the day and we parted.

I don't know Getting Front Page dot com and I don't trust them. 4 calls within 20mins and each caller didn't realize I was already on the phone with their colleague sounds like a sweat shop and scam to me. And if it sounds  like a duck, quacks like a duck, the there is a high probability that it is a duck!

THis company called me I was 100% clear I was not interested in there service.  They called back the next day to verify my payment, I was actually very angry and asked them to remove me form there call list and never call again.  They just Called back, I recognized the voice and asked if it was for this google listing thing and they hung up on me.  I just called back the number and was hung up on a 2nd time. My second call back I asked for a boss or supervisor and siad I was pissed off with the calls after being very clear I did not wish to receive calls any longer from them....guess what..they hung up on me.

Got called by this # today, total scam...hoping they don't call back. Said they worked for google and wanted info on our small business. Googled their # and found this...so I'm glad I looked it up

I have received calls at least 10 calls in the last 48 hours from 626-213-1631, 949-381-0821, and 347-205-8431. They all seem to be the same ignorant company. I keep telling them I am not looking for SEO services and to remove me from their list. They all talk over me and don't listen to me. The last jerk that called when I told him to take me off their list said that if I didn't listen to his spiel he would report me to the Better Business Bureau. This company should be shut down.

I got a call from this number too. So they started telling me that the call was from google and they were verifying the address. So I then asked if this has to do with SEO services and they said yes. They help companies rank high on google, bing and yahoo. So I asked him for his company name, did some organic seo searches and said, how the hell are you going to help me rank high if your company is no where to be found... after asking a few times, the guy hung up the phone.

I know better websites that can give a hell of a cheaper deal than that per month and offer almost twice as many options.

Yup, they called me today but I didn't answer. And like the tons of other "junk numbers" that frequently call my line, every day and in every way, they didn't leave a message as usual.

There is NO way they can guarantee your site will be on the first page, unless the search terms you use are extremely narrow.

In actuality, they may submit your site to Google, and charge you lots of money to do that ... but their system does NOT guarantee you will be ranked higher than you were before, no matter what they say!  Look at it this way ... if they are so good, why are they not on the first page?

Your statements are highly suspect.  You found your way to a phone COMPLAINT site, so you could post the name of a "good" company.  How much are you being paid to shill for that company?
