I was a victim as well of Quest Financial and their Broker, Edward E. Haley, I did file a complaint after loosing $3500 to these people, I filed with the California Dept. of Real Estate, and the California Dept of Real Estate gave me the name and address of the Broker, Edward E. Haley, showing he was listed as the Company Owner. I lost my home, I lost $3500 and all I got was my certified registered letter returned not signed for and now I am unable to find a new address for Mr. Haley. I have greyhound in my blood and I will find him, I will not stop and I want my money returned!!

Now I just get a recording that" my call did not go thru and please try again" They also have $2500 of my money. If you have any ideas on how to go after them please advise. you can  reach me at socochran@san.rr.com

Lawsuit? On who's bill? anyone dumb enough to spend more $ and more time on this is going to end up with just more frustration. Time to move on and save our homes ourselves. I sure hope the majority of you victims have taken matters into your own hands and are communicating with your mortgage company, we can't make the mistake ever of leaving everything up to someone else to handle, nothing in this life is for sure, and you're going to end up foreclosing. i called Chase myself regarding my loan that Quest started trying to work on, and I'm almost done. Take some initiative people instead of chasing ghosts. they'll get whats coming to them another way

I worked briefly with Quest Financial for a good month and it was a mess. The company took on to much business and over committed to the borrowers. The processors on these files continued to quit because it was too overwhelming and disorganized. The owner Jeff and his partner Randy were never around and constantly shutting down the office early on in the day before the processors could get their calls into the borrowers and banks causing them to fall even farther behind. Randy from what I hear now is in prison on drug charges and Jeff has still not appeared since October when he came in and told the processors they had 15 minutes to get their stuff out of the office and still had yet to pay them. From what the employees knew he cleared out the bank accounts and wrote bad checks to the employees and borrowers for their refunds. The loan officers or sales people had no idea how to inform these borrowers the correct information or turn times of the lenders. Unfortunately borrowers when they get a loan mod they are sold the world and not given accurate information. If you ever see a black hummer with bright red rims you know that is Jeff Mattingly. I know when I'm in the Lake Forest office I look for it because I would love to give him a piece of my mind.

What do to if you get caught in a foreclosure rescue scam
If you get caught in one of these scams it is imperative that you contact a consumer protection lawyer right away. An attorney can assist you as you navigate your way through hearings with enforcement agencies, eviction hearings and in lawsuits. Not a pretty picture.

If you believe that you are the victim of criminal activity, such as forged documents being presented for your signature, you should contact your local law enforcement agency. Unfortunately, these scams are so new that there aren't many resources available to fight them. Consumer protection groups are already advocating for laws to fight these types of scams.

You all watch for your 3 day vacate letters, thanks to Quest Financial we will be homeless by monday! I have been packing most of the day, where do you put your life for the last 14 years in a home? We have NOWHERE to go. How do these people sleep at night knowing they put children out on the streets? Disabled people? People who thought they were getting help? I hope they are enjoying their vacation on our money! You get calls and emails from them, then they skip out. They tell you its in review, that foreclosure process has stopped while its in review, to dismiss the intent to foreclose letters we get in the mail, that they will call B of A and file a hold on foreclosure proceedings until the application can be reviewed. And all this time it was a bunch of BS, and making people lose their home. Its too late now for us to save our home thanks to them, we wanted to believe them, that they were handling things for us, and all the time they were scamming us and probably never submitted the modification papers we sent them. I have every email they ever sent me, copies of everything i sent them, and where are they??? who knows where they are now, but i do know one thing, their gone with all of out money! Will we ever get a penny back??? most likely not.

Stated they were "Walker Law Group". But when I look up the phone# on the internet it shows Lake Center Lending and J.Mattenly Grp. Inc. Also when I call back there's a recording that doesn't state a company name-odd. I'm thinking this is probably a scam to get your money by using an attorney's name and act like they are that person. It's not listed under Better Business Bureau.

I am stunned, I have read everything you people have been saying. I put my faith in these people. I am on disability, my husband works, we have 2 children and raising a grand daughter that is a year old, and today we got a 3 day vacate in the mail. I tried to call quest and got the busy signal, came on here to see if there might be another number and found this! Im crushed, and now going to be homeless with 3 kids. These people will never know what they have done to my family.

wow, i cant believe what this company did to me. I ended up losing my home, and $2500, and now live with my in laws. I live in Orange County and was able to obtain a P.I to investigate for me before I wne thru all of the court paperwork and BS. Here's what they have found for me so far after investigating and speaking with a handfull? of the employees out of this office located in Lake Forest. 1st: This company, or sole proprietor Jeff Mattenley, had multiple business at that address, even at different addresses on the same street! The guy must live in or be from lake Forest; Lake Center Lending, J. Mattenley Group Home Builders?, Walker Law Group, Quest Financial Services, and more! 2nd: the employees my PI contacted provided info that clearly shows that they weren't even employed by Quest, and never received a paycheck from Quest and never had.3rd: The lease, phone bill, electricity, marketing on TV and by Mail at Lake Center Drive was not Quest, but rather J. Mattenley Group. No one seems to be able to reach the owner of Quest which is strange to say the least, but according to my investigator, he's not sure if Edward Haley even knew what was going on, or is just some idiot broker that had the wool pulled over his eyes.
After speaking with a good Attorney and breaking it all down, they're not even sure who I would go after. Possibly J. Mattenly Group for Criminal charges, and Quest or Edward Haley for neglescence? I can't imagine that Mr. Haley would forfeit his entire business to make a quick temporary buck? I see TONS of listings under Quest for home sales, and they look like about 3 months ago they were actually a legit real estate company. But I cant tell which way is up, who is who, or who did what to who...+Either way, I can't find any of the "suspects".
If anyone has an answer, GIVE IT TO ME!!!

I to
I too dealt with Quest Financial Solutions at 888-736-5755.  At this number I dealt with Jeff Leaming and the Kristine Doron.  I too was getting updates from Cara Kerr at the 949-462-2170 number.  After they got my $2,500 total in payments, with $1500.00 due at closing, they stopped calling, answering emails and I also get a busy number whenever I dial any of these numbers.  What can we do to get our money back?  I'm really ticked off.

alex maldonado is one of the most hard working people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Itis a crying shame what has happened to everyone associated with quest, believe me, i am fully aware.  what i cant some to understand is why everyone who got "screwed" acts as though they have seen snow falling in orange county in the middle of july.  i dont agree at all what was done, i have cried about it plenty, but as it is stated over and over on this page, WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER TRUSTED THESE PEOPLE.  I know from speaking with many former clients that people at least had some inkling of an idea that possibly something was wrong...
it is after all a government run agency.  i have a pay check that wont cash as well, at least it is not my home, but my personal feeling upon the matter is if you play with fire you are going to burn.  i could either spend time freaking and finding a way to sue the proper party, or take action.  go out and move on.. get another job.  i just want to know what good it is for any of the employees to put down other peoples information, i don't know what happened.  Has anyone actually spoken with jeff about all accusations, or is it a simple "it was him, the criminal"?

To Whom It May Concern: I was employed by Jeff Mattenley as a Negotiator on July 13th, 2010. Although I was never provided with a contract, the Company came from a reliable source. I was referred to work for these guys by my ex-employer. I was never aware of the scam. Neither me, nor Sandy Dimoska (who I came to replace), nor Laura Carlson, or any other employee in the Company were aware of such fraud. My job was to contact lenders on behalf of clients to pursue loan modifications. It was out of our control to STOP something that was HIDDEN from our eyes!!! We were never aware what was being done and, personally, I too was affected by not getting paid my last 2 1/2 weeks of honest work. I know clients tend to have the wrong assumption we, as representatives of Quest Financial at the time, are part of their scam but, what would you do if all of a sudden your told at 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon that "you are dismissed, I can't pay you or continue to do business"...that's all we as employees heard from Mr. Mattenley. On top of not getting paid, now, you throw our names in this sack of muck!!! If I could do anything for the number of people I was working with, TRUST ME, I would do it, but not only was I stuck without a job without notice, I was too taken to the cleaners by NOT getting paid. You judge as your conscience best allows you to. No one but Mr. Mattenley could have stopped this. Mr. Toro, you are one of the blessed people that were scammed. You are a pilot, and yes, you can afford your mortgage payment. You must do right and file a small civil law suit against Quest Financial Solutions and stop trying to discredit affected people.

I am sorry that Quest Financial Solutions scammed you, but please stop posting the employee names on the internet. I did not take your money. In actuality, Quest screwed me too, I didn't received my last few pay checks either. I was just a processor that processed the paperwork. Here are the "real" criminals your are looking for. The owner of the Quest office in Lake Forest is Jeff Mattenly (909)717-1392   who also is owner of J. Mattenly Group, Lake Center Lending and his accomplice Randall McKeown (562)225-1820. I haven't worked for the company in over 5 months and the company was closed in September.
The corporate office is still in buisness and that will be the best bet to try and get your money back. Here is all the info for the corporate office: Quest Finanical Solutions 1800 E. Garry Ave Suite 223, Santa Ana, CA 92705. The licensed owners of this company are Ed Hailey and Josj Hanley (949)225-0635. I tried calling the # myself and there is a recording that states they are not affiliated with the Lake Forest office, but that is a LIE! Lake Forest did not have a licesnce to run the mod company and they used the licensing of the corporate office who allowed the criminal Jeff Mattenly to run the Lake Forest office with no questions asked for a small per file fee.

I was a former employee of Quest Financial Solutions in Lake Forest. The person who did this to you home owners is Jeff Mattingly. Jeff M. was the owner of the Lake Forest office and operated under is corp. which is named J Mattingly Group. The lease at that office was under Jeff Mattingly Group. Quest Financial Solutions and the owners allowed Jeff Mattingly to use their RE license for loan modifications and received a Franchise fee per file from Jeff Mattingly Group. The Quest Financial guys where also scammed by Jeff M. and are now trying to say they were not affiliated with the Lake Forest Office. This is not true. Jeff M "took the money and ran" He bounced all payroll to his employees, client refunds, and rent. His bank account was with CHASE bank same as Quest. Jeff M. claims he is broke but it is known he cashed over 110K of client checks the last week of operation in the Lake Forest office. Jeff Mattingly is a very bad person. The employees that worked in the Lake Forest office are not responsible for this. They also were taken from Jeff Mattingly. Everyone needs to contact Edward Haley the owner of Quest Financial Solutions. The contract you signed was under his License.

You are absolutely right! I am a former employee and Lake Center Lending and J. Mattenly Group were are incorporated with Walker Law Group. Then the scam bag attorney of Walker Law Group lost his license for all the fraudulent business' he was running by allowing all these modification companies to use his bar license for a fee of a few hundred dollors per file with no question asked. Then when Walker Law Group shur down, the owner of the Lake Forest office, found another company for licensing purposes called Quest Financial Solutions and then continues their scam
