Anjay, sorry to hear your number has been spoofed. I too got the same call, but I just happened to not be near my cell when I got it, so Google voice caught it and transcribed this:

"There is some technical failure on your Debit Card. Use the billing errors. And we introduced a temporary Block page. In order to reactivate your debit card, please press one to be transferred to our security department. Hello. This is a message from National first Credit Union. We regret to inform you that there is some technical failure your debit card use the billing errors. And we introduced a temporary block edge. In order to reactivate your debit card, please press one to be transferred to our Security Department. "

I doubt that helps, especially since it wasn't any identifiable voice, it was computer generated. I hope that your issues have improved since.

BEWARE!!!! A  F-IN SCAM!!

This is the second time I received this call. The first was BFA and second from National Credit Union.

I Hope they call the wrong Number and get caught!

Another Note.... My Inlaws own a Coffee Roasting Company and they received a call from a so called  PG&E Admin claiming you're late on your Payment and the electricity will be turned off in two hours. In order to stop you need to pay RIGHT NOW via credit card. Be careful Its a LIVE Person and they're really Persuasive. JUST HANG UP!!!!

I just received the same call on my cellphone. My Cellphone number is not published, thus I'm not sure how they received my number. I was very suspicious when I heard the automated voice; Also they didn't specify which banking institution they were from; There was no option to speak to a live voice; This is clearly a scam; I simply hung-up as soon as they asked for my card number . . . . I never give out my card number to anyone calling me . . .  I will only input my card number when I know the institution I am calling. I just hope that people don't fall for their trick, but I presume that there will be those who don't know better. It would be great if the Justice Dept could get involved with tracking these people down. Anyway, beware of this scam

Hi Anjay, really sorry to hear about someone using your number to set up this scam as they just tried me as well.  What Is the chance that you could cancel your number all together and start with a new one so that this would break their scam?

I just received a call on my cell phone from this phone number just like these other people saying that my debit card was going to be locked and i needed to press a number on my phone to connect to a person at their company to prevent my card from being locked. I remained silent for a few moments and then hung up. Usually a recording like this would repeat the message or prompt you for a response but it was quiet.
I receive very few phone calls so that is another reason to make me suspicious.

I just got a call from this number consistent with the other accounts about it here -- the caller left a voice mail saying my account was locked, and that I needed to contact them with my card information. They didn't do a great job of it, either, as the voice mail started in the middle of a sentence with the word "locked", skipping over any alleged company name.

Hello Friends,

I am the president of Altos Inc and AltosMD Inc. We have been in business since 2004 in California. Someone has spoofed our caller-id and is making callers claiming to be a bank and other entiries. Unfortunately, we cannot track or block the persons who are making these illegal calls. I regret the inconvinience it has caused you. We are also victoms of this scam. We have received hundreds of call-backs and are unable to assist anyone. At present we are exploring our legal option to file a criminal complaint. Once again, let me assure you we are not in tele-markeitng business, we are a IT recruiting company in operations since 2004. Thank you to those you have taken the time clarfiy the situation above.

Best regards,

Anjay Bajaj

This is a scam. It spoofs a company's phone number, calls itself some local banking institution, and asks that you enter your card number, pin, and code on the back of your card. Then they have access to your credit card!

This is a scam, it is actually the number of a legitimate IT company who's CallerID has been spoofed. If you call the number back and press 7 the president of the company has a recorded message explaining the scam.

Recorded Message says your debit card account has been frozen because of computer problems and they are the Bank Of Edmonson (This is a Kentucky Bank).  If you would like to reactivate your account press 1.  You are then prompted to enter card number, exp date and security code on back and pin number.  It is a scam for you to give them access to your account.  Beware!! It sounds real.
