I got a call from this number : 949-732-6440 6 times and I answered the call twice and I hear nothing. I also have no voicemails.. when I call this number back I hear a "This phone has been disconnected" message.. I dont know who is trying to reach me. or this is some sort of scam.. who the hell knows..

Get calls from this number many times a day sometimes up to 14 calls.  There is no answer when I pick up the phone, and they do not leave a msg on the recorder.  On 5/7 I got calls from this number at 9:58am,11:20am, 1:26pm, 1:37, 2:40 pm 3:36pm 4:14 4:43pm and 8:23pm

I believe this is related to lendingtree.com.  Calls started when I created an account there.  Called them to report it.  I believe someone has access to contact info from their system and is using it inappropriately.  They said it could be contact information provided by credit bureaus.  I've been getting 6-7 calls per day.  If you've applied for a mortgage recently, it might be the trigger.

This number calls 6 tp 7 times a day. When you answer no one is there and if you call it back they message says the number has been disconnected.

I got several calls from these people with the hang up on the other end (and a 'disconnected' message when called back). When I finally got a response on the other end I found out that some scumbag mortgage broker sold my info to these people.

The reason for the hang-ups is that they are using an autodialer - which I thought was illegal. Maybe after X-number of successful connections they'll put a real person on the line?

This number falls within the T-Mobile Irvine, CA block. I reported them to T-Mobile. T-Mobile is filing a complaint with the FTC.

This is exactly what is going on with me too!  I signed up for a lending tree account and the phone calls started soon after as well.

Same deal here...  with the exception, I just spoke to Quicken Loans the other day, that's when this started for me.

I got this call several times today. I suspect it is related to some kind of automated response to a call I made about refinancing my mortgage. I did this with Countrywide.

i also am getting calls. up to 12 a day. called efficient lending and no answer. how long can i expect to get these calls for? i also had my credit pulled by another mortgage company.

ive gotten one call and the person asked for a name that was not mine, and asked if i was in a country which i am not in.
I have no mortgage and havent signed up anything recently. should i be worried?

How I got his number.
I called their 949-502-4600 and got a their opperator, she transferred me to Rob. He wasn't there so I left a message. I called back again but it put me on a loop that would never let me talk to a person. Even after dialing #0 for the opperator again and again. I had to call from a different number to get though again. I've called from 3 different #'s so far and that was the only way to get through until they gave me Rob's number directly(949)502-4601.

this same number 949-732-6440 has just started buzzing us and is damn annoying!!! what is this number for and mysterious how it is disconnected when you try to return the call..

i get two calls a day from these people. i am currently in africa so i get $2.50 charges everytime i receive a phone call!!! can i still call rob crenshaw?

This number keeps calling me 5 times a day. I dont answer it, I just reject the call. but its very annoying

FYI : Our phone numbers are public information and if you don't want these people to call you then you can apply your number on donotcall.gov so these people would not call you. But to my experience the loan officer that I spoke to and worked with named Paul explained to me very politely how they got my number and why they called. He ended up saving me $250 per month and got me addional $25k cash out. It was better than what my current lender can offer me.

1-949-732-6440 called me six times on CHRISTMAS EVE, the most times this number has ever called me in a day. I've been getting calls from this number for 3-4 weeks now, but never as excessive as that.  Same deal, call but won't leave a message.  Today I called 1-800-214-5230 and had my number removed after two more calls today.  Hopefully no more calls.  I hope this helps. Picked up and talked to Robert he is with Efficient Lending wanted to know how I was doing with my home loan. I let him talk for a few minutes and then asked if he could give me the telephone number of Efficient Lending. Which he did 1-800-214-5230.  I told him that I was just trying to waste his time he said that that was no problem. I asked if he got a commission which he said yes. So I told him that I was costing him money by wasting his time and double checked that he would take me off his call list.  I then called the 800 number and spoke with Kathy and had her also put me on the do not call list.

They call me atleast 5 times a day.. How do i get them to stop calling? can i report this number or do something?
