It is source one automotive - car warranty - they buy your data from Trans Union and look for information that indicates if a person has purchased a car within the past five years.  They take a person's telephone number as listed on the credit report.  They claimed today that they can not remove your telephone number without a person's name, which I find odd as they did not call me by name, but by telephone number.

they called me a bunch of times and when i would call back i'd get this crappy anwering machine that said something about comcast.... but then when i finally answered it they tried to sell me a car warranty... i had just purchased one with another company months before this. after listening to their sales pitch i had them email the info to me...i quicky called my auto warranty company and they did the reseach... it was a scam, apparently the company is really from missiouri and taking peoples money and running...

I am receiving calls from same number and they do not reply or leave message. When I called back recording said "0 credit left." I do not know what is this crap.
Please post is there any solution to get rid of these scam callers.

They called my wife's cell every 40 min.  They barely allowed the phone to ring before they hung up.  They never leave a message and I have no idea where they got her cell number from to begin with.  I left a message on their website, but who knows if that will do any good.  Any ideas???

They call every day at least 3 times a day, even on my days off. Now how do we stop them? Can we block this number? File a complaint? What? Does anyone know how to stop these annoying calls!!!!

Like everyone else here, my call directory shows 6 - 10 calls daily from the 949 number, but no msgs.  When I do answer, there's nothing.  I called the 888-650-6856 number and it was answered right away by a sympathetic-sounding guy with a southern accent who promised to remove my number ASAP.  What I don't understand is what is the business model here?? Why even make these calls if no one is attempting to speak with anyone to pitch whatever crap it is they're selling??? Pretty weird.

when I answered the phone there was an undereducated female telling another party on the telephone that she/they did not get their paychecks, and to please look into it. then they hung up. And yes I also think it is either godaddy or ebay giving out phone numbers.

Press "1" or whatever to take their call, then act like you are going to buy, keep them on the phone for a while until the switch you to a sales person, then after a few minutes (and putting down the phone for 10 minutes to go check your vehicle ID number) tell them you've decided not to buy, they will likely take you off their list.  In other words, waste their time.  I know it's a pain but it worked for me -- for three months, anyway -- but they had been calling me several times a day before that.  And it's fun to hear them get so annoyed.  Now they are calling again, unfortunately. :(

I specifically confronted these people on two occasions, and it was about car warranties. When I told them it was a cell phone and i wanted all their information, and wanted on the do not call list, they were rude. they didn't even know the law required them to give their name.
Now they call, but hang up right away because they know I am on their do not call list... Their software must be still dialing, but they know not to pick up...

I started getting car warranty calls from this group - this isnt the only number they have - about 3 weeks after I purchased a new car. I was nervous from the first call since it was new - but its been non-stop for nearly a year.. I hope that calling the 888 number works. The people who constantly call must hate their scam-of-a-job. It's ridiculous.. I filed a complaint against the dealer who sold me the car because he DID release my name and phone number. I advise others to check this probability out as well.

Scam, some car warranty crap. I am listed on the DNC list, how and where do they get numbers from. Why register when we still get this mess. Can they be reported to some agency?

hi!  I had several phone calls from the 949 # to and it was making me very angry.  I just called 8668027621 and they were able to put me on the do not call list.  Thank you all.

I answer my phone, then no one on other end.  This has happened three times from this number to my home in less than 24 hrs. I stay on the line but no one there talks. I'm ready to call local news station to expose this group.  I have no idea why they would be calling me! Hang ups to my number from their number have got to stop. Wondering if there is legal action as consumers we can join?

I have tried to get the representative to take me off of the call list.  This company does not seem to respond to this request.  I am tired of this company trying to sell me an extended warranty for my vehicle./

949-734-4481 & 949-486-7598 are robodialers who have now been exposed for their real phone numbers thanks to a little detective work.  You have to play along with their scam until you get their real phone numbers.  Let them know you don't appreciate the harrassment.

I get constant calls from 949-486-7598 and the message said to use this site to request that our number be placed on you NO CALL list.  Please do this immediately as it is very annoying to receive unwanted calls from your number.

These people won't STOP!! I've gone to thier bogus website and sent numers emails for them to stop. I've answered and told them I don't want their stupid warranty. The number listed above 800-650-6856 is now disconnected!!....I'll sign up for the warranty if they come and collect the money personally!!

Seems that godaddy is in the business of giving out peoples personal information to these companies. If you purchased any services from godaddy then these guys probably got your info from them
